So exciting to see your old Bible and Dictionary! A few years ago I studied the history of the Bible and gained a deep appreciation for the King James Version. To increase my comprehension of the olde English and to help me better read in context, I have paired it with the Websters 1828 Dictionary which references the KJV. I am discovering the importance of looking up words, even ones that I am familiar with as my modern education has influenced not only what I think certain words mean, but ultimately impacts what I think these words mean as I read my Bible. It truly is sad how much knowledge and understanding has been lost over time, but praise God for these old books that help lead us back to the old paths and the good way. 💗✝️💗 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16
It had been a blessing! There is an app for the Webster's 1828 Dictionary. I have compared it to my hard copy and found the definitions to be word for word. For anyone who feels hesitant about the olde English of the KJV, look up your favorite scriptures in the KJV and compare them to your favorite modern translation. Then use the Webster's 1828 to look up key words that stand out in the KJV and consider all the differences you see. A few years ago, I was trying to pick a Bible Version for my yearly Bible Plan. As I compared 6 different modern translations side by side (NLT was favorite), I was shocked and disappointed to discover how much they varied and sometimes would contradict each other. Wanting to find the best English translation initially led me down this path. My first year reading only the KJV was a bit cumbersome, but I am grateful for the help of the Holy Spirit to perservere. The more I read, the more familiar it becomes, the more my comprehension has increased, and my faith has grown stronger than any other time in my life. There truly is something so special about the KJV that came at great sacrifice by the martyrs through history willing to lay down their lives, so we could read and know the Bible for ourselves today. 💗✝️💗

Hey shout out from Sri Lanka!! 🇱🇰I'm so curious to know who the Sri Lankan pastor could be...?? Anyway, I've been glued to your channel ever since I discovered it about a month or 2 ago. I think I've covered half of your videos and a few from your other channel too. I've come to realise we've got soo much in common with regards to how you met your partner, the time periods, the number for years married, the time of year married and life after marriage, not having kids for the same period of time and I can go on.. It blew my mind. And now getting to know that you have connections with a "Sri Lankan". Hardly anyone know we exist as a country. How God works and connects is mind blowing. I'm so grateful to God for exciting me in ways that no one else can!! But your channel and the other channel have been a tremendous blessing to me in a very very special way. I thank God for you both. I'm truly truly blessed. And I bleed you both in return too. Love you loads
We compost everything that doesn’t go to the chickens too. All of the non edible things from butchering chickens, whole animals if something happens to them (for example we just lost a ewe and a lamb, ☹️ sad that something happened to them, but grateful they can feed future grass for our livestock.). In the garden we usually find a random chicken bone or two too. 🫣 I love the old bible and dictionary! So beautiful and I love when you share things from them because it’s so different than our culture today. Maybe you should make a habit of reading a definition with each of your videos! 🥰 Thank you again Kelli for another inspiring video. Sending prayers and hugs your way! I appreciate you! ♥️
That is so amazing, and I'm sure so healing for your land all that good dirt!! And that would be a fun thing to do with old definitions. Thank you so much, I enjoyed reading your comment!
I am also reducing my caffeine intake. Too much coffee is increasing my cortisol levels. I used to cafe 3 cups of coffee per day, sometimes 4. Now, I have very tiny cup with breakfast and one tiny cup by 3 pm.
I love when you share definitions and your old dictionaries with us. Looking up definitions has become part of my daily Bible study and I am learning so many new meanings to common words. Very neat to see your old Bible. Wonderful video today! Thank you for sharing.
I love that you're doing it together, it is so fun to read word meanings and it really does give deeper meaning and understanding!! I'm so glad you like the video!
Thanks so mich for this video, Kelli! I have been listening/following your channel for a little while now, and have seen you put into words some things that I have been feeling but couldn't get into words. That is such a huge help for me, as I love and feel led to share with other women what God is teaching me. I am learning to love (or rather to get into the habit again of) looking up the definitions of words, yet I had never considered looking up the definitions of habit and routine, which I know realize are two different albeit related words. This revelation seems to take an enormous weight off of my shoulders... I've been struggling to make good habits and routines in my home (with our 15 month old daughter) and always felt like I'm failing at it. This puts things into perspective and I know with God I can do it. May God bless you both and the generations that He is calling forth through you two! Also: my husband and I are desiring to build up our own UA-cam channel with content like this - just in Spanish. We have not found much on biblical worldview, Christian homemaking, biblical parenting, etc. in Spanish, so I am so thankful for your and other godly women's channels on this platform that teach and equip me!
You are such an inspiration!! I just came across your channel, I am myself a small youtuber from Croatia. It is nice not to feel alone in homemaking❤❤❤
Oh how fun you're from Croatia! We were considering moving to croatia a few years ago for a work opportunity for my husband! It looks absolutely beautiful there!
Thank you for sharing this. You exude such a beautiful peace as you describe your life. What a blessing you are to listen to. May your family continue to grow and flourish.
Hi Kelli! Excited for the new video. Watching always makes me feel so content. 🥰 I feel like you’ve really been wearing your color palette in the last few videos and you look so pretty!! 💞

This was a perfect compliment to your last video. We use the Prime equipped protein powder. I mix it with cream, and it's a very tasty chocolate cold foam. We have grown the lemon basil for 2 years now. It's lovely in tea and a salad also. I impressed myself with saving seeds from my plants last year. I sprinkled the seeds randomly through our garden. We were blessed....Praise the Lord! Would you consider doing a video of preserving your herbs? I am air drying mine. I don't own a dehydrator at this time. We are being intentional with being in the sunshine for 15 to 20 mins and some physical activity. I am deficient in Vitamin D, and this is the all natural way to absorb it, plus the other benefits you mentioned. I definitely will add the grounding also. We are intrigued about the mouth tape. I have never heard of that. Is that to promote breathing through the nose? Also, the hot cocoa sounds perfect. I suffered from insomnia before I accepted Christ. Praise the Lord for healing me from that. I typically abstain from anything chocolate before bed. This does not disturb your sleep? I would love to try it. What a gem of a Bible! I am always inspired by your videos. Blessings to you and yours!
Thank you Sonja, your comments are always lovely to read. I've never thought of putting lemon basil in salad but I can see how that would be delicious! And at our old house I would hang dry my herbs on one of those folding clothes racks with string. Our house now is so humid, I mainly just use our dehydrator now. But hanging them had always worked for me in the past if you can manage the humidity in your home! And that's exactly it with the mouth tape, helps me breath through my mouth at night and encourages my tongue posture to be pressed flat at the top of my mouth.
Hi Kelli, I have also been reading the Bible this year using a plan that will have me finish by years end. I have found myself wondering about listening to it but then decided against it. I may give it a try since my sister and niece both do and are also quite happy with it. I have found the Old Testament to leave me with so many questions. Although I enjoy reading the stories I have also been puzzled by lifestyles etc but I’m loving it. You are a bundle of energy friend, it makes this Grammy’s heart happy to watch your videos. Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.
I understand the hesitation with listening to it. I was the same way when I did the Bible in a year plan a few years back, I only read it. And even still I prefer reading it, but I figure if I'm going to be listening to something while I'm outside working, why not listen to the Bible! And I feel the same way with Old Testament stories!! Some really perplex me too. And I'm so glad you enjoy the videos, I have fun making them!
Love that old Bible! Very cool Love the idea of using an old dictionary to go along with it. Yes, I think of a nuns habit as far as clothing goes What timing, I just quit drinking coffee a little over a week ago. My go to now is Dandy Blend, it gives me the feeling of coffee but it’s healthy. 😊
@@homewithkelli I see you must have looked it up. 😌 It’s a really great alternative to move you out of coffee. It’s not the cheapest thing ever but once you get over the initial beginning habit then you’re fine. My hubby actually thought it was coffee. ☺️
@@kristiecox7350 we used to drink dandy blend all the time. I think I over did it because I don’t enjoy it as much as I used to but for a season we drank it everyday!
Unfortunately, I am allergic to poultry/egg yolk. I'm going to check out your shop and possibly order the tea from south Africa. I am not a coffee drinker. ❤ from Ohio 😊
@@homewithkelli yep, I can't eat chicken or turkey in any form. Such as stock, broth or gravy. Anything with egg yolk such as some salad dressing, mayo, some soups, and the flu vaccine.
😊 Praise the Lord, first of all. I enjoy listening. I live on a mountain pretty far from town, taking care of my elderly Mom and my husband. It’s just fun to hear about different things. I like the smoothie ideas and the breakfast ideas. Can you share your Dutch pancakes or sourdough pancake recipe? I make sourdough bread, but haven’t really ventured into other things. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Kelli, I recently made my daughter a sketch book with a fabric cover and it is beautiful! I used heavy watercolor paper for it. I want to make my own journal for writing but having a hard time finding paper that is large enough to fold! Do you have any recomendations? Thanks!
Most of it sounds like bondage. I'm all for health and taking good care of our bodies, but the whole day seems ro revolve around health. It doesn't seem...healthy...
What’s fascinating to me is, the things I’ve shared in this video are not complicated at all. They are mostly all free, just take a little time to do, or are alternative options to what you do anyways. I can see how spelling it all out in a video makes it sound “complicated” but lived it’s just second nature. Eating whole foods, moving, being outside, talking with the Lord- those are all things our bodies naturally crave. That’s the beauty of habits is when you start doing them a little over time, it’s just part of your lifestyle.
I’m new to watching your channel, and I love the idea of women embracing the home and family. I’ve never enjoyed dragging myself to work every single day; it really impacted my mental health. I still work part time now that I’m married, but I’m at home with my son too. But…women need a higher education. Not because other wise they’ll just end up flipping burgers, but because without exposure to that boarder framework and way of thinking, they’ll be unable to deconstruct the left woke narrative. I’ve seen so many women who aren’t educated in bad relationships, or ending up as single moms or in and out of relationships with men who are unwilling to be husbands and providers, who allow themselves to demeaned by embracing ways of life that are leftist and endangering women. Educated women generally chose partners who are stable and want home and family. Just my thoughts!
Wisdom is more important than book smart. God gives the wisdom that others can’t buy (tuition). If you follow God with all your heart, soul, mind, there is no eduction that can show you who to be in a relationship/see the destruction of Satan in the world and the wokeness. God allows us to see Satan in everything! Being indoctrinated in college is opposite to God
Kelli, Love your content! A bit off topic but what position did you play in soccer? My daughter plays now and she loves it. We are trying to keep things in balance but this soccer can be quite time consuming.
In the "do not do" video you mentioned avoiding the microwave and I have been trying to do the same -- what tips do you have for non-microwave reheating? Thank you!
We got rid of our microwave several years ago. All I ever use is a small pot or cast iron pan to reheat bits of leftovers, or I leave a large amount of leftovers in the fridge in the same Dutch oven overnight and reheat in it the next day-less dishes!
I WISH I could get my family to get rid of the microwave. My husband (who never actually microwaves anything) is insistent upon using it! I have tried to tell them it is not good for your food. the only thing I use it for is to heat up a rice bag for my bad back, but I'd just as soon do with out it. I would also like to get rid of the telephone & tv. (no one EVER watches the tv, since the beginning covid & rarely before that anyway) but no one will consent to getting rid of it. I find the telephone the most obnoxious invention ever. I do NOT like talking on it & will make any excuse to avoid making calls lol. And that is so weird because I spent about 2.5 cumulative teen years on the phone jawing away 🤣 I don't understand why my family has such a strong attachment to appliances that never get used. weird.
I just listen to you almost every other day now, since I discovered you. You are like my mentor, since I do not have one in real life. A Christ centered homemaker. Thank youu!! When do you wake up most of the time? Since you are cycle syncing, I get that you get up later in luteal/menstrual phase. This is what I do. But, mostly, what is a good hour to go to bed and to wake up for a homemaker? What do you think?
Thank you Rebeca, that is so kind of you to say. And really for me this depends on the season and sometimes even my energy. Recently with it being light late, I'm out in the garden until dark. Then come in, shower, clean up the house and wind down for bed, so my bed time is around 10:30. And we usually try to get 8.5 hours of sleep. So I've been waking up between 6:30 and 7.
Thank you for answering me! That is good inspiratiin for me, since I really struggle with picking a wake up hour and sticking to it. Nothing is quite urgent for me, cause I live alone with my husband(no kids yet also, nor job) and I stay in bed without motivation until 9 most of the time. Then I feel so guilty for that. And we go to bed at alrmost midnight most days. I ve had some health issues, but I am quite well now and try to wake up early, but it is hard even with cycle syncing. I trust that God will help me out. I ve struggled with waking up early since I was a kid. Still, I love mornings!
I got it from an auction. That's where I've gotten all the old Bibles I've found and one of the listeners was kind enough to send me a bible from an estate sale she went to!
@@homewithkelli oh wow that’s amazing! I am going to have to try to find an auction like this near me, that seems to be the best way to buy things! I’ve been trying to look for an old Bible and dictionary at Half Price Bookstores but they seem to be a bit pricey there, so I bet an Auction or Estate Sale would be a lot better!

As an older woman, I can tell you that life is full of surprises. Some great and some not so great. I would encourage young women to have a skill that will help you both in a home or in a workplace. I do recommend young girls in high school to work a part-time job after school. This will teach them to appreciate a husband who works hard so she doesn't. If you can do a dual enrollment with a vocational school or community college. Get a degree in finance. This would help you in your home and in the workforce if you and your husband get in a tight spot. Many women supplemented their families' income during the Great Depression. How? Doing everyday things like pressing clothes, laundry, and babysitting, and they would sell baked goods. I almost forgot hair cuts.
My husband and I were in several tight spots while raising children. We just tightened our belt. No matter how tight, I wouldn't let someone else raise my children. Plus I could of never afford the daycare either. Saying that, I liked your ideas at the end. 😊 PS I am an older woman, too. 😊
That is what we have encouraged our 2 young daughters to do. One just finished getting licensed to be a hair dresser at a vocational school. I figured this could be a career or she could work out of her home, if $ was tight in her family life. Or at the very least her skills will save her family $ if she can provide pricey services for her husband & kids (& her mom once in awhile *wink*wink). The other daughter does not know what she wants to do, but we are NOT encouraging college. College really caused me to lose my way in life & with my walk with the Lord. Actually it just about killed me (& I am not exaggerating). They have both worked part time jobs which have taught them how to be good stewards of money & time & to put value on how hard one has to work to earn a living. I have actually made a contribution with all the things you listed LOL. I cleaned elderly folks homes & I could bring my girls with me. I would bring their laundry home & do ironing. I have babysat, ran errands, & sold baked goods. I have a farmstand out in front of my home & sell eggs, veggies, pies, plants, sewing projects, etc... And I DO have a college degree, but it never got me very far. I have gotten farther by being resourceful & helping my husband. (and by farther I am not talking about $$$$, I am talking about security, confidence, happiness, contentment, friends, a feeling of success)
It depends on what you're looking for. So for food, we try to find it as local as possible first. Through farmers markets, realmilk.com, upickfarmlocater.com or pickyourown.org, facebook. This is how I've always found local food sources near us. Then if we can't get it from there, we buy from Azure, if not from azure we shop from Publix (the heiress of the company is very conservative) and another semi local health food shop near us. For art and craft supplies, I have local fabric or yarn shops that we got to, if I can't get it from there, Blick.com or Jerrys Artarama, and if I need it asap I'll go to Hobby Lobby. How I've done it, is when I have a need I'll look up local places to try and find it and usually there is somewhere that's an option! It just takes a little extra time to research!
I did these longer fasts several years ago. I think everyone will have their own convictions with it. I think if a woman does feel lead to fast for spiritual reasons, then it's best to do it at the beginning of your cycle.
Hi, goata exercises is what I mentioned, not yoga. Goata is a form of stretching and working out that helps with correct posture position and realign our bodies into the positions that we were created to be in. I have linked their website in the description.
Is it wrong to pray for your future good godly husband when you are currently married? I got married when I was 19 (pregnant at 18). Neither of us were Christian at the time. He was terrible to me when we were young. It's now almost 30 years later....I am Christian, he is not. We are different people now than we were when we were teenagers. I'm so scared to leave...is it wrong in the eyes of the Lord? ...The current state of the world. ... I've never been alone...I'm afraid I'll be alone forever. I am a homemaker.
All your answers can be found in the Word. Praying for your future Christian husband can still be your current husband. When the Lord gets ahold of us, we ARE a new creation and the old is made new.
This isn't complicated stuff. I'm just long winded and thought I'd give details since I like details myself

Very cool
Love the idea of using an old dictionary to go along with it.
Yes, I think of a nuns habit as far as clothing goes
What timing, I just quit drinking coffee a little over a week ago. My go to now is Dandy Blend, it gives me the feeling of coffee but it’s healthy. 😊
Dandy blend? Can you share info? 😊
Oh that's great! Dandy blend is a great alternative!!
@@homewithkelli I see you must have looked it up. 😌
It’s a really great alternative to move you out of coffee.
Wow, I've not heard of anyone allergic to egg yolk before, that isn't fun. And thanks for your interest, I find them both to be delicious!!
Thank you. 🙏🏻
I'm so glad you liked it! Here is the recipe I follow: www.food.com/recipe/sourdough-dutch-baby-pancake-538675
Kelli, I recently made my daughter a sketch book with a fabric cover and it is beautiful! I used heavy watercolor paper for it. I want to make my own journal for writing but having a hard time finding paper that is large enough to fold! Do you have any recomendations? Thanks!
Girl! Your simple life sounds so complicated! You're going to live forever! Blessings to you! 😊
Most of it sounds like bondage. I'm all for health and taking good care of our bodies, but the whole day seems ro revolve around health. It doesn't seem...healthy...
@@Desiree_Rose.. to each his own. What one may find as bondage, another may find as healthy living. 😊
Eat The Meat, Spit Out The Bones.
@@homewithkelli I agree. Move on if it is effecting you negatively. There are plenty of channels you may find more your taste. 😊
That is a beautiful Bible. My Father has an old family Bible that is similar. It has marriages, births, and deaths in it.
Good tips.
We are trying to keep things in balance but this soccer can be quite time
consuming.
I played sweeper- last defender! That's cute that she loves it, and you're so right it is very time consuming. My whole life revolved around it.
In the "do not do" video you mentioned avoiding the microwave and I have been trying to do the same -- what tips do you have for non-microwave reheating? Thank you!
Depending on what you're reheating, the stove and oven work great
@@lifeathome_yes... I do a nice slow heat 😊
We got rid of our microwave several years ago. All I ever use is a small pot or cast iron pan to reheat bits of leftovers, or I leave a large amount of leftovers in the fridge in the same Dutch oven overnight and reheat in it the next day-less dishes!
Toaster oven works great too.
Hi Kelli, I was wondering where you got your 1800s Bible from? I would absolutely love to have one like this myself! Is yours large print as well?
I got it from an auction. That's where I've gotten all the old Bibles I've found and one of the listeners was kind enough to send me a bible from an estate sale she went to!
@@homewithkelli oh wow that’s amazing! I am going to have to try to find an auction like this near me, that seems to be the best way to buy things! I’ve been trying to look for an old Bible and dictionary at Half Price Bookstores but they seem to be a bit pricey there, so I bet an Auction or Estate Sale would be a lot better!
@@rachellawrence217 most states have an online auction website called hibid, you can find online auctions within a certain radius of your zip code and they have a search bar so you can specifically search for Bibles!
@@homewithkelli Ah perfect, I will look them up and find an auction nearby for that! Thank you so much, Kelli! 💜

PS I am an older woman, too.
@@pattyhansen7563 What a beautiful, inspiring & wise testimony!
Kelli, can you recommend alternative places to shop instead of the big box type stores that support values we don’t hold as believers?
I just started this video. Miss Kelly, is fasting safe for women? I just wanted to ask while I continue to watch this.
I did these longer fasts several years ago. I think everyone will have their own convictions with it. I think if a woman does feel lead to fast for spiritual reasons, then it's best to do it at the beginning of your cycle.
You sound just like me! You would LOVE learning Hebrew with your Bible study!
I actually have a video over why the Hebrew is so amazing and enriches our studies.
Sooo you mentioned something about Yoga..were you referencing just some exercises you learned or do you actually do Yoga and recommend it often?
Hi, goata exercises is what I mentioned, not yoga. Goata is a form of stretching and working out that helps with correct posture position and realign our bodies into the positions that we were created to be in. I have linked their website in the description.
@@homewithkelli Dang! This is my first time hearing about this. I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks a ton😌
(Habit) is a french word ! 😄 meaning outfit for man.
I would taste the liver. Just sayin’ 😂
