Wild Berry Pie:
Pie crust is the same recipe as caramel apple pie
Filling: 1 container of strawberries, 2 pints blueberries, 1 pint blackberries, 1 pint raspberries, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 3 tablespoons cornstarch (make sure it is whisked into cold water or cold ingredients before heating)
Bring all ingredients to a boil, simmer until thick. Add more water mixed with cornstarch if it doesn't thicken as much as you want. When it cools, it will thicken more. You can also use frozen berries as well.

What a great idea to celebrate giving on the feast of St Nicholas! I told my children the truth about Santa when they were 7 and 9. Jesus is the best present we could ever receive, and although we still buy and open gifts on Christmas day we focus on the truth and what is real😊

The Bible is the ONLY infallible Word of God. We're told in God's Word 1 Timothy 2:5-6 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. Did you catch that? There is only ONE mediator between God and man .... Jesus. NOT a priest. Also, we are NOT to confess our sins to another sinner such as a priest.. we are NOT to call them father nor is the rosary Biblical. Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Matthew 6:7-8 [7] “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. bible.com/bible/59/mat.6.7-8.ESV Please check out Www needGod.com Don't be deceived! I was deceived for 34 years and MANY are according to Scripture. Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 and then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Beautiful pies! What lucky neighbors! I am a pie making machine, myself. But at Xmas it is Fruitcake all the way!!! The weekend after Thanksgiving is Fruitcake making day for me. First, I read Truman Capote's short story "A Christmas Memory" (which is about making fruitcake) which results in me crying as the kites lift into the sky. Then, I think for a while on the dear friend that gave me that book & loves fruitcake as much as I do. This results in me weeping a little more (this friend is still alive, but she is as nutty as I am & deserves a few good tears). Then I gather all my ingredients, which have gotten very, very expensive, and the largest enamel bowl I own & the rum (don't ever forget the rum). The second day is a cozy day stuck at home, because fruitcake takes about 4 + hours in the oven. Warm kitchen, few little sips of rum....only my nearest & dearest crazy, nutty fruitcake lovers get gifted one. & then I sell the rest. That is how I earn a little spending $ for 'husband gifts'. As a sahm mom for 20 years the only thing that ever truly bothered me was that I never had my own $ to buy my hubby gifts. It seemed wrong to ask him for money that he worked for to buy HIM gifts. So i always tried to find a way to squirrel away a few pennies by cleaning houses, selling eggs, taking in babysitting, selling pies & fruitcake! My grandma told me to skim some off the top of the grocery shopping money each week by economizing 😂LOL, but I tried to explain to her that with debit cards & itemized receipts its pretty evident to a husband with 1/2 a brain how much money one is spending vs. how many groceries are coming in. its not like the old days! As for appliances, my parents are still using my grandparents refrigerator. It was bought in 1948-ish when they got married & it was second hand at that point. Still runs great. I bought a new, no frills, bare bones fridge 2 years ago & it hasn't worked right since the day we brought it home. Prior to that I had a fridge of similar model for almost 20 years that worked great. I have replaced all appliances in the last 2-3 years & every single one of them is junk. We researched, shopped for months, went with the most basic, supposedly durable quality/model & yup, still ended up with junk. Personally, I want my house filled with handmade items that have some history or character. quilts, pottery, handed down china, rag rugs, afghans, baskets, etc...I don't want plastic junk from China. I want used books, rocking chairs, handmade dolls, deer mounts & hides, houseplants that friends have shared, etc...I want the things in my home to have a story, a memory, a connection to a loved one, etc...to me, THAT is what makes a house a home, as far as furnishings/belongings go. There is nothing trendy in my home & no room gets remade with an 'aesthetic' seen on pinterest or country home magazine.

I agree how there were things made better long ago. I think a lot of it all changed after WWII and changed a load more in the 1960s. For a few years I only bought vintage dresses (but they tore often, and I was constantly fixing them and then it would rip in places that were not as easy to fix - but a few dresses I had worn on a regular basis was worn by me for twenty years and they were already very old). Oooh you made your own hot chocolate? That's really cool. I like your list of how things were made or altered, etc. Thank you so much for talking about this!!!

As someone who is in her mid-60’s, I can relate greatly to the decreased quality of products. I had my grandma’s old washing machine for 25 years and she had it for a very long time. Occasionally it would need repaired and the repair man said to keep it because they didn’t make quality any longer. Finally, after 25 years he said he could no longer get parts. He said it use to be appliances were made in one factory. He said now, all the parts are made at different places by different companies and most overseas. We use to repair things, now they just throw away and buy new YET they make low water use washing machines (which don’t clean nearly as well) in the name of conservation and yet made flimsy. 🤷‍♀️ You are a breath of fresh air and I appreciate your authenticity. Your pies look beautiful and were surely a blessing.

Being a biblical woman, a homemaker (even without children), a wife, building the home economy (homemaking)....is the highest calling for women in my opinion. It's hard work. Especially raising children, homeschooling children while taking care of the home. It's so important & so needed in our American culture today. I have always had strong desire to do this. I ended up a single mother & it was so hard!! In many ways. Working FT & at times picking up a PT job too. My 2 children are now grown & doing well thanks be to God. I am remarried & my husband wants me to work outside of the home even though we can afford for me to be a homemaker. I'm praying my husband has a change of heart. Please discuss this BEFORE marriage!! I'm called to outreach ministry as well. Even at the age of 50, still have that deep longing to be that homemaker & serve my community as well in outreach. I do work from home several days a week & work in office several days. I'm grateful at least on days at home I can work in time to care for my home. It truly does take away from your family when you work outside of the home, especially with children. It's also spiritually, mentally, emotionally & physically exhausting! Even as an older woman whose children are grown & out of the house, it is tiring to juggle it all. There's so much ungodliness & bureaucracy in the workplaces. So much unethical practices. Please recognize if you have the gift of being a homemaker, it is such an amazing gift & blessing!! Everything comes with ups & downs but to be denied what you know God has called you into to & designed you for is so grievous to the spirit & soul. As a married 50 year old, I have just as much to do as I did when I had children at home. Cooking, cleaning, errands, shopping, light gardening, assisting aging parents, all while giving 45 hours to an employer every week. Trying to keep my relationship with Christ strong, my marriage strong, my health strong, serving The Lord, etc. God never intended for the system, daycares, etc to raise our children.

I love all of your videos. Always encouraging! Depression: can be a spiritual, emotional based in response to life events, trauma, environment or caused by hormone & brain chemical imbalances. I've experienced depression from severe thyroid hormone imbalances & sex hormone imbalances. As soon as my thyroid levels were managed with correct dose of thyroid hormone medication I was back to my jolly Ole self again. I've always experienced low mood depression due to life trauma. I've worked in mental health & my opinion is if you have depression from life experience & it's not truly a brain chemical or hormone imbalance, antidepressants will not work for you. In my experience, patients who take antidepressants & they don't have a chemical imbalance....actually worsened & developed severe side effects. These meds change the chemical make up of the brain. They alter proper responses. Of course every person is different but just taking a pill for outward life experiences & atmospheres will not change anything. You have to start by addressing the issues you are currently living in. For me, once I removed toxic people & places, really got into Scripture, renewed my mind with Scripture, surrounded myself with stable healthy people, got my thyroid & sex hormones balanced.....everything changed. Learning how to enjoy life. Tap into the gifts God has given you. Enjoy hobbies & interest, get outside everyday in the fresh air, nature, sunshine. Destress. Stay away from things & people that don't bring peace, joy, stability, etc. If you watch to much t.v. try keeping it off & enjoy quiet, it calms the nervous system.

Those false teachings have made their way into the church & Christian culture & it's so discouraging! So many Christian men & women fall into the culture. Many don't pray or study the Word. It's difficult as a biblical woman.

Love that stove design!! I'm a new subscriber from Virginia. Love your channel! I'm a 50 year old woman who's always desired to be a homemaker & have time to serve in outreach in my local community. I found myself a single mother, now my children are thriving adults out on their own. I still desire to be a homemaker but currently my spouse desires I work FT out of the home. Please pray my husband would have a change of heart on this matter. He's a business owner & we are very blessed financially. He's a Christian man. It's difficult working FT & being a keeper of the home, running the errands, etc & doing all that's required. Especially as you get older & you don't have that 20 & 30 year old energy.

It's so valuable that you share your daily life w your kids with to show your live and share daily life together but also you arectezchingbthem real life skills. Something I've been reminded if lately is to look those I love in the eyes, small increments, but it helps me connect w them. Praying you have a very merry christmas!

How are you? Do you could make videos using dress or skirts? Pants aren't women clothes. Thank you. Hugs from Brazil. TLM FSSPX
