I've made tons of dresses before but finally I'm working on my dream wedding dress. I've thought long and hard on what style I really wanted. I didn't want my dress to be heavy nor did I want it to be too big. I know I could make one that way but I don't think it would have fit inside a car since we are driving from Denmark to France. So I wanted to be mindful on creating this dress for myself and for future purposes.

Do you take orders????
Yes sir I am not feeling 💯 for a remarkable and the children that I will be in touch when u are good for the soul of this week 🙏 American cotton and I will do
@@mnt9777 I haven't made a wedding dress for someone else, Id be a tad nervous to make something for someone when I cant fit them.
@@oluwayemisioduwole7731 I hope you feel better and American cotton is a great fabric to use if you're starting to sew
Your dress is so nice and pretty
This is the first time I've seen someone use paper (like legit magazine paper) to make the pattern...this will save me some muslin (draping) xD!
I like being resourceful! I use a lot of things to help me draft since I don't always use the right fabrics for things. XD
My fashion school teacher did too. Brown paper. Yes. It makes sense. She's good 👍
I traced the pattern for a dress I was making with notebook paper lol
I used also a magazine and news paper to making pattern when I was in saudi
Have you thought of starting your own line of bridal gowns? Your dress came out so gorgeous!!!
It as such a goal of mine to start a bridal company but after seeing how covid ruined it, Im not so sure currently if I want to pursue it. I think in the future Id love to start a "BLING OUT MY WEDDING DRESS" type of company.
And thank you sooo much! A lot of love and work went into this bad boy.
You have to be joking, beading is not knowing how to fit.
@@bonitaweekes4366 The fuck you talking about?
Now this is what you call PATIENCE. Beautiful Gown.😊
Thank you! 😊
I'm so impressed your dress is beautiful
Thank you so much!!
It is so lovely to see you sewing using same ‘technique’ as the way I was taught and the way I teach now 🥰🥰🥰
That's so awesome! And super awesome that you teach sewing!!
Gorgeous dress ❤I love all of the bling, the sparkle is just amazingly beautiful ..
Thank you so much! I'm so happy with how it turned out!
Your dress came out beautifully. Congratulations I really enjoyed your vlog⚘⚘⚘
Thank you so much 😊
What a gorgeous dress!! Great job!!❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Using paper to drape your pattern is genius 😍
Thank you so much 😀 It really helps to save any present tissue paper and use that than to throw it away.
this is so amazing. i'm so nervous about making my own wedding dress.
Thank you so much for the kind words~! It is definitely a scary feat. But one of my little quotes to live by when it comes to sewing is:
"Someone's made it, why can't I?"
So you can definitely do it too! I'll cheer for you
Loving this I've not thought of using paper I use a cheap fabric fab idea
I know I've seen people use paper in the past so I cannot take a lot of credit for the idea. But it definitely is cheaper than using fabric.
I love the bottom part. You did a great job
Thank you so much! I was really worried on how the dress would come out but it was really like a dream
Wow this is so inspiring 😍
Glad you think so!
Woa... it turns sooo beautiful 🧚♀️
As someone that learning sewing, it's really tempting to make my own wedding dress, have to learn more as I now still in basic lesson.
Thank you so much!!
@@MarissaFloro Thanks Celeste, will do ask you. Yes so far I just learn basic things and craft.
@@mila-shepherd5944 I highly recommend you doing your own wedding dress, because it's the best way to get exactly what you want, i made it myself and i couldn't love it more, I even had goosebumps when I finished and tried it, so if you're really thinking about making it yourself, go for it! You won't regret it
I'm thinking of making my own wedding dress and stumbled across your channel!
I hope you have fun making your dress
Beautiful Celeste. I really enjoyed the video. Xo
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved it!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I'm hoping to make more fancy dresses this year
I love the sliver silver fabric
It was definitely really scary to cut it but worth every penny!
Super stunning and unique. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to bead my own already lacey gown. It has no sparkle and that's not me. ♥️
You are so welcome! I hope you have fun and enjoy it! Even the smallest amount of beading can really change a garment; especially a wedding dress.
Did you do it?
How did your dress turn out?
You are very talented, your dress is a work of art, very beautiful
Thank you so much for the kind words!
You are hilarious, I really enjoyed your video, thank you and congratulations

Ty ty ty! Im glad you found my video and enjoyed it!
I always thought a pickstitch was called a blind hem. I guess it's the same thing, just whether or not it's on a hem.
I'm not sure if I'll do beading. It looks cool, but also looks like it would take for a while. I'm trying to make something that will keep me cool, so I haven't bought the final fabric yet as I'm still looking. I don't want polyester, so it's not that easy to find anything locally.
Ive heard it called many things but Im not 100% sure what the difference is.
I hope you find the fabric youre looking for! Its such a hunt when trying to find the perfect fabric.
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers! 🖤💜🖤
I also did my wedding dress, but i don´t so good witth internet e i dont record video.. but i stay doing a dress wedding for register place, i think i will to record, you give good ideia!! my english is not good, you are adorable and gorgeous .

I need pattern training. I went to school but it did not stick. I gave up dress making for 16 years now I want back in 😁
That's so cool! I don't know a lot about pattern making but I try. I'm fortunate to have my dress form and other youtubers to help me out. I'd say go for it!!
Do it my friend said patterns made her feel dumb, so she does not use them. Don’t box yourself in. There is literally nothing she can’t make with out making her own patterns
So so beautiful you and yr dress😍😍
Thank you so much for the kind words!
@@MarissaFloro its a plaisure my beauty
@@HH-vg6gg hi dear how are you??
@@HH-vg6gg thank a lot dear
I am adding a sequin overlay dress to my daughter's simple A-line gown!
The fabric has a large scalloped edge.... I am curious how you decided to cut your fabric and how you kept it from stretching as it hung on the mannequin?
That sounds like a challenge! BUT~! I cut my fabric using a sodering knife - Video here: ua-cam.com/video/ZfoCb5WG9jY/v-deo.html
I made sure to ultra pin my mannequin so the lace wouldn't stretch too hard. I do believe in some cases I brought the hemline up with clips to make sure it wasn't so heavy at the bottom either.
I hope this helps!!
beautiful dress! how long did it take to make??
Thank you for the kind words! It took me a longggggg time, I'd definitely say it took 4 months to make because of the excessive hand sewing on the sleeves and bodice. It took a lot of courage to cut up the silver lace fabric because I couldn't buy it anymore. Im super happy with how everything turned out
Wooow ella está viendo overlord , espero que haga el traje de albedo. Like y ya me suscribo.
¡Amo a Overlord! Definitivamente quiero hacer el disfraz de Albedo. Está en mi lista de tareas pendientes.
The beading may look good but to those who know about sewing the bodice had in some puckering that was hidden by beads. Take your measurements, patterns are not custom made, you have to adjust them to fit you. Unless you know what you are doing brides should let somebody else make their dress or buy one.
I agree with you on this. I knew that I had messed up and didn't want to scrap the progress that I already had. I had a plan on making my entire bodice beaded and embellished so I didn't think it was such a problem.
I'm sharing my experiences and trials for those who are interested in what they might face when making a special occasion dress. Thank you for commenting and coming to my video, I appreciate your honesty and opinion.
If you have any suggestions on future videos I'd be more than happy to cover what I've lacked in skills or attempts to craft something better.
Do you have a link to the embellishment you used?
Hi hi! Which embellishment are you referring to? Are you talking about the silver lace fabric or the beads itself?
@@MarissaFloro both
@@bellablow4287 It took me a bit of time to locate it but I was able to find it. I used around 3-4 meters of this fabric:
www.joann.com/save-the-date-heavily-beaded-embroidery-fabric-white/15746845.html
I used a lot of the cut up pieces into the bodice and the sleeves. I didn't cut too much of the fabric for the skirt but created a different bottom line from the edge.
I also sewed more silver sequins and silver beads, pearls to help keep the lace down.
I hope this helps!
@@MarissaFloro thaaaaaannnnk you! ♥️
Wooow $50,- per yard for that gorgeous, gemmed up lace?? That's super cheap! ♥
Isn't it amazing?? Definitely cheaper than what I found at some stores in LA Fashion District. I wish I could grab more though XC
Wow 🤩:) subbed we have the same name lol
