Cute~ I don't know about you, but I'm never mentally prepared to cut into my nice fabric. I have this really nice, soft black flannel that I bought for a full circle skirt like 2-3 years ago, and I still haven't made the skirt yet. orz

Ooh my...What dedication for the details, I was very surprised that the skirt fit was a little big or needed adjustment..Since you draped on the dressform I was almost secure that the fit was right. I will love to have someone like Katy, but you know what I will do my best to be Katy for my daughter, niece or another girl/boy that needs help in the sewing department. Can not wait for the next video!

btw, I finally received my Sewphie, placed order 11th July; notified 29th July that funding was achieved; shipped 11th September; delivery yesterday 26th September(yep, Sunday delivery coz our postal service is backed up the wahzoo with everyone shopping online)...
I gotta say, she is as cute as a button, I love her. She comes in a lovely white canvas drawstring baggie with little line drawings of all of the other plushies available from Makeship... I'm very pleased with the quality of this little cutie... ;))

Shouldn't you do the fitting in the undergarments that you will be wearing with the dress? As that will change the shape of your chest... ?? I know it does on me.
I had trouble when making a muslin because there was ZERO stretch in the fabric. And it was just a day dress that would be made of a different material that did have some stretch.
I’m adding bra cups so thought I would keep them in
True, but with the body shape that April has will no be so much different. That helps a lot with people with more curves or with bra bulge and belly pouch like myself 😁.
