This device works seamlessly with Home Assistant. There are a few inexpensive USB Zigbee dongles that act as a hub and are supported by Home Assistant - for example the Conbee II. A cheap single board computer such as a Raspberry Pi 3, 4, or 5, an SD card, and Bob's your uncle - you can power the VINDSTYRKA right from the Pi.
Changing between degrees F and degrees C can be done without the app - pressing and holding the larger button puts it into a configuration mode where you can toggle that as well as change the intensity of the illumination.
I prefer the Amazon sensor because I like to see the historical data chart on the app. If you do not like to go through the app to see the numbers, then Ikea is better because it has a screen.
For someone who want to have it in room without the hub.. it's good.. Ofc don't buy hub just because of this product.. you will waste your money.. Readings are accurate? Well idk, i don't have another similar products to compare it with ... but anyway i take everything with a reserve.. kinda "it's arround that number.. ".. it works and i think main purpose/selling point of this product is that you don't need a hub, it works on it's own..
The VOC function seems useless as it neither displays nor communicates any numbers. That's also true of the information that the Home Assistant integration displays. It's possible that this will improve with later firmware.

Thank you for the information.
So which product you prefer? This one from Ikea or the amazon one? :)

Does the sensor work with just the display without the Ikea hub? If you don't want to check it on your phone, just from the display?
Yes, the display works without a hub.
Good idea!
Thanks!

Does it have push notifications?

did this improve or is it still the same? would be also interested in numbers and not this strange arrow :D
there's a video on utube, Where he connects to homeassistant, and shows that VOC has a number.
