Hey folks, in this Video I restored an old Tobacco Cutter!
I think its from the 1950´s regarding to the screws and the way it was built.
The Cutter has a feeding mechanism which feeds the Tobacco plants into the cutting wheel by turning the wheel. The 'pressure roll' holds all the plants in place and presses them on the feeding roll.
The restoration contains powder coating of cast iron parts, a lot of polishing, sanding, nickel plating, knife sharpening and also wood work. Some parts were restored off cam (screws and pins).
The final test shows that the Tobacco Cutter now works pretty fine again!
Thanks you fine people! ♥ - Розваги
18:38 excuse me....what????? 😆😆😆
😉😘
With the spaghetti slicing at the end you secured the life long wrath of all Italian viewers for sure!
I‘m glad no one knows my face 😅
Might show it to my Italian mate, just to see him screaming inside.
I was going to write it
I remember there is a youtube short that would say "Not Approved!"
I will not send this to Pasta Grannies. I will not send this to Pasta Grannies...
It's sad we won't see another Mister Patina video after he's arrested by the Italians for crimes against pasta.
They’ll spaghetti-cuff me!
WTF?,???????
Satisfaction cabinet? What an accurate way to name it!
😉
Such beauty! Loved that you didn't replace de wood and salvaged it instead.
LOVE that you always save the wood whenever possible. Kudos!
Amazing job my friend congratulations
ahh. sliced spaghetti with leek and carrots. My favourite!
This is a beautiful restoration.
You did such a great sealing job! it's absolutely leek proof!
It certainly makes a rather satisfying sound when cutting. Thank you for the upload, and I look forward to your next video.
This contraption reminds me of my sweet wife 😖.
She drives you around the twist chops you up and spits you out when it comes to a disagreement with her😂🇬🇧👍
Immer wieder sehr beeindruckend, wenn diese alte, analoge Technik wiederbelebt wird.
I absolutely love the slightly darker lighting, it's still clear and easy to see, but I especially love it because I watch these videos to fall asleep. Yhank you so much ❤❤
Youre welcome, iam glad you like it!
"Run for your life" 😂 you had my 👍🏻 at that moment.
Haha!
Nice work, but I wouldn't recommend drying and smoking the leek!
Leek, carrot and spaghetti tobacco!
It might just be the next addiction!
...nice restoration 👍🙂🇬🇧🚬
Haha! 😆
Brat, I remember your first videos.
And what a classy badass daddy. And so smoooooth, ooof.
I’m happy for and with you!
Thank you so much my friend!
That was very nicely done, especially the restoration of the wooden parts. I didn't know that was possible. The demo at the end was great since I detest tobacco companies and smoking the stuff. I don't blame the plants though. I'm sure none of it was their idea.
Beautiful restoration 😊
I was surprised to see that the leaf-feeding gear was wood, but it makes sense for not wanting to damage them.
I also see you've leveled-up your wood restoration skills, very nice! Now you can make all kinds of salads!
Chopped spaghetti as a tapioca substitute, anyone? XD
Hah, thank you so much!
You're welcome!
End result is amazing. Congratulations.
I'm pretty sure that most (if not all) of the italian fans are insanely mad at you right now. 😂😂😂😂
I hope they don’t cook me
@@misterpatina, just hold their hands and they can't even complain about it. 😂😂
Un objet rare et beau qui a hérité d’une magnifique restauration de qualité professionnelle. 👌👍 bravo monsieur Patina.
Merci!
"Hawk tuah"... I had to google it. Made my day! 😂
Spray on that thang! 😅
Jesus do you live under a rock??
@@madmax82988 Me? No. But I'm german and I don't know every english phrase.
Damn that was funny! I had google it too!
@@Knilch58 it's not really a phrase, it's an *_extremely_* viral video with millions of views that's now turned into a meme; that has spread across the world. Even Germany I bet.
Золотые руки у Мастера ❤❤❤
Lol the satisfaction cabinet 😂
Beautifully done sir 👌🏽🙂
Thanks a lot! 🙂
Great job, Mr P. Love your work 👍
Edit: Hawk tuah 😂😂😂😂 When you know, you know.
Yeah...the fact that everyone knows, proves shes right ^^
WOW! Überragend das du das alte Brett gerettet hast! Good Job!
Danke!
2nd time I’ve watch this, still an amazing restoration, like the detail and care put into the project, thanks again, enjoyed watching again.
Thank you so much!
Love how you squeezed in the hawk tuah 😂 awesome video man
Haha, thanks!
You can’t pull a hawk tuah on me only two minutes into the video, I’m trying to relax and go to sleep here 😂
🤣🤣🤣
The Italians cried out in horror at the treatment of the spaghetti 😂
Very good!
I'm from Americana SP Brasil.
Set screws really grind my gears. It works great if the shaft has a flat face or matching tap, but in most cases, it's used with a round face as part of a cheap design.
As I know that tobacco consumption is increasingly falling and anti-smoking is in vogue, a suggestion to continue using this piece is to reuse it as a salad chopper. Such as being used to chop chard to produce kimchi (a typical Korean dish).
This guy chopping spaghetti... trying to start a war with the Italians. They despise when their beloved spaghetti is in pieces.
😂😂😂
Amazing work man, Just make a Compilation video of all the sand blasting you have done, Please
Great idea, ill keep it in mind :-)
perfecto como todo loque hace!!! gracias por el video.
Love the videos. Ive been watching foe the last year, and its the best fall asleep. Problem is that it gets too interesting and you have to watch too the finish. Great work am I admire the time and effort that goes into this. Al the way from South Africa
Thank you so much! Greets from Germany!
If you'd boiled the leek, carrot slices, and pasta confetti, you'd have a pretty decent soup.
Satisfaction Cabinet is the best way to describe a sand blaster. I love it.
So pleased you saved the original wooden board .... really enjoyed watching 😊
Missed an opportunity, should have called it the sandisfaction cabinet!
😅
I heard Italians screaming in the end
„No vegetables were hurt in the production of this video.“
...but spaghetti :-D
Mesmerizing! Love your work!
Thanks! I’m glad you like it!
A truly satisfying and relaxing video!
Iam glad you like it!
LMAO, I too cut thread to the beat of "Hey Ho, Let's Go"
Learned that little trick from my metal working teacher ages ago, and I still do it.
And in case anyone wonders what that actually means.
"Hey" One Full rotation forward.
"Ho" Half a rotation back.
"Let's Go!" One Full rotation forward again.
That way you limit the chances of breaking the thread halfway through.
It’s even more funny when I tell you, that this song came to my mind out of nowhere, when I cut the thread. Just 'heard' it.
Thanks for your comment my friend. Funny how things come together sometimes..
Perfect restoration 👍
Thanks!
Les italiens sont en sueur quand tu coupe les spaghetti 😂
The entire country of Italy is malding after seeing that spaghetti destruction
😂😂 The second he pulled out the spaghetti, I swear I could hear the cries of millions of Italians in my ears, and I'm not even Italian!!
The perfect accessory for any pipe smokers man cave. Lovely job. Regards from Scotland.
You should do some old tonka toys or something similar!
I love the attention to the detail in this restoration, it would have been so easy to cut a new piece of wood but that would have lost some of the originality, bravo for putting in the effort to reshape that board!
Great project, scrubbed up alright.
Using the lathe to get the shaft out was clever... always the simple ideas that are best.
1:43 Hawk tuah is worldwide omg
Excellent content. Thank you!
Thanks for watching 🙂
Excellent Job!
Thanks!
The Hawk Tauh is here too... My god x.x
Looks great as usual! You do wonderful work, Mister P. Love to see it!
Thank you so much!
Hawk Tuah was brilliant lol ha ha
Wonderful job
Thanks!
Excellent as always Mr. Patina 👏👏👏, thank you. Now - Chuck all that stuff in a frying pan with some cumin, coriander and paprika, and have yourself a nice lunch 😁. 😎
Haha - Thank you so much John!
hahahaha, your great sense of humour is way up there with your concourse restorations - Mister Patina - you're the best!
Thanks Andy!
I think spaghetti only works when it's natural tree-grown pasta - the artificial stuff just isn't the same 🤣
Haha! Good one :-)
So in love. After a stressful day this helps me to calm down and fall asleep. And then I watch it again the next day to see the result 😂
Im glad you enjoyed...twice :-D
Great video and excellent restoration, as usual. I love the humour and that you saved both pieces of wood when it would have been easier to replace them.
Thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed!
beautiful restoration. your nutela would be sick again😄😄
Your channel is among amazing. Every time i see a notification i click within a second, sometimes i see your notifications pop through during work but i take some time when im on my lunch break to rest and enjoy so amazing asmr. Please keep posting some amazing content and god bless you brother
I’m thinking it’s begging for red paint on the outer swirl of the rotor with handle. Sure would like to see it in action cutting the leaves. Great job!
Наблюдать как вы работаете , прямо релакс 🧘!!!
Молодец вы 👍
Spasibo
I love the whole process, but the powder coating is always my favourite part!
Mister Patina espero que no se te suba a la cabeza pero para mi eres el mejor haciendo videos en restauración saludos desde Canarias
Muchas gracias amigo!
@@misterpatina siempre a ti
Great job.
Thanks!
Restaurado cortador de tabaco 😉
*What a fascinating machine 🙂 Thanks for showing us it from when it was a total mess to being a absolutely amazing machine 🙂.*
Iam glad you like it! :-)
"satisfaction cabinet" is a great name for the sandblaster
Золотые руки.
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you so much!
Your videography has just kept getting better and better! Really neat piece to restore too!
Edit: 19:20 Pro tip: Point the epoxy bottle tips up, tap the liquid to the base and then gently squeeze up to remove the air bubble (like what you see doctors and nurses do with syringes) so you get a consistent amount each time
Thank you so much, I’ll keep it in mind!
Hello mister Patina beautifully restored good job
Thanks a lot!
Italy on the verge of war after this spaghetti slaughtering ! Love your restoration.
Coffee and Patina.what better way to start your Saturday?😎
Another stunning restoration. Love the nickel plating, attention to detail and how you repaired and re-used the wooden parts. Thanks heaps for sharing.
Iam glad you like it!
Gut gemacht 🙌
Danke!
Beautiful restoration job you did restoring that tobacco cutter. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.
I'm quite surprised you used the "hawk tuah" reference lol
But otherwise, another great restoration by the "buddy" himself. 🙂
I just couldnt resist :-D
Thank you so much Mark!
Hawk tuah and the satisfaction cabinet in the same video ?!?! OH MY ! 😮
🤣🤣
Another piece of history saved from the scrap heap.
Cutting threads to the music of the Ramones? Gabba gabba hey! 👍
Haha!
Formidable restauration !!! 👍
Super Arbeit wie immer👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Vielen Dank 👍
beautiful restoration!
Ah yes, Castro's preferred type - no.5, standard length
sweet!
I was today years old the first time I heard the term "satisfaction cabinet," but I will never forget it!
Haha, I could be there all day!
There's something really cathartic about watching these videos but one question I always have is do you always know what these machines are and how they should work or do you have to look them up as I'd have no clue I've never heard of a tobacco cutter lol. Keep up the good work one of my favourite channels
Thank you so much! Most of the machines are bought online or given to me from the previous owner, they can at least tell you what it is :-D
A little bit of knowledge and experience, and you know how they have to work :-)
Bruh, I'm Italian, you should have a life sentence for that spaghetti! 🍝
Except for that I love your videos and your irony 🏌️
Haha, thank you so much! I’m glad you’re not mad at me 😅
I love this so much. Thanks Mr. P.
19:31 we should ask Hand Tool Rescue about it he is a Nutella addicted 😁
