Even though you might not feel different in your head. You know you are getting old when your body does not respond so well and Icons from the 1970's start dying. RIP Cockney Rebel.
Wouldn't it be a fitting tribute to the GREAT MAN to see 'Sebastian' released and reach the ears of the general public just to show what a magical & brilliant song this really is. Remember those early Cockney Rebel gigs in the 70's and to hear this alongside 'Mirror Freak, 'Death Trip' etc it really was like living in a dreamland after Steve gave such resounding performances of these beautiful, ferocious but tender songs. You were up there with the likes of Dylan & Bowie in the songwriting stakes. Miss you buddy. Rest In Peace. Condolances to Dorothy, Kerr & Greta. Reply
I'll never stop missing this wonderful man and his beautiful music...this was the first of his songs that touched my soul and I've never looked back. Love him always.
Radiate simply the candle is burning so low for me Generate me limply can't seem to place your name cherie To rearrange all these thoughts in a moment is suicide Come to a strange place we'll talk over old times we never smile Somebody called me Sebastian Somebody called me Sebastian Work out a rhyme - toss me the time - lay me you're mine We all know, oh yeah Your Persian eyes sparkle your lips ruby blue never speak a sound And you oh so gay with Parisian demands you can run around Your view of society screws up my mind like you'll never know Lead me away come inside see my mind in kaleidoscope Somebody called me Sebastian Somebody called me Sebastian Dance on my heart - laugh swoop and dart - la-di-di-da Now we all know you, yeah La-di-di-da ...
Not just a hippy festival, but the oldest festival in Europe, with a history of performing bands that makes Woodstock look like child's play. Cockney performing here was probably one of their top 3 days in their lives.@@wnd3099

Radiate simply the candle is burning so low for me
Generate me limply can't seem to place your name cherie
To rearrange all these thoughts in a moment is suicide
Come to a strange place we'll talk over old times we never smile
Somebody called me Sebastian
Somebody called me Sebastian
Work out a rhyme - toss me the time - lay me you're mine
We all know, oh yeah
Your Persian eyes sparkle your lips ruby blue never speak a sound
And you oh so gay with Parisian demands you can run around
Your view of society screws up my mind like you'll never know
Lead me away come inside see my mind in kaleidoscope
Somebody called me Sebastian
Somebody called me Sebastian
Dance on my heart - laugh swoop and dart - la-di-di-da
Now we all know you, yeah
La-di-di-da ...
Danke Steve für diesen wunderbaren Song

A STELLAR SONG ...
I think this clip has been improved with the original album track 😬.
Would be cool to watch this and hear the actual audio footage without the shots of the hippie festival goers who probably would have hated them.
Sigh!
