Never really been a fan of the Star Trek movies. But if they made one about the Voyager crew, I think I'd happily go to the cinema to watch it. I know Voyager isn't often considered the best series. But it was the first series I ever watched, and I felt I really made a connection with each of the crew members. The characters were quite well developed, and you knew how each of them reacted and spoke. I think Tuvok was always my favorite. He really did play the best Vulcan of the lot.
@@DavidBarlowDavido01 I don't even know what this comment is supposed to mean. Tuvok was a great Vulcan. Not watered down in the least and still an entirely compelling character. Can't ever take anything from Spock but he was half Vulcan and they played on that a lot. T'Pol was an emotionally charged, psychologically damaged Vulcan from a previous era before the modern (TOS and later) version of Vulcans. Saavik played kinda bland and too emotional. @@RatKing59 Honestly I never really liked them, they were all kind of bland. The only other woman I'd have to put on my list of favorites would be Guinan.
This may be a more than a little late, but if we're talking top three women in Star Trek, then at least one of those positions has to go to Kira Nerys. She's right up there with Seven when it comes to emotional baggage and working through it, and I'd argue that she's more capable in a command role than Janeway, though that's just my personal opinion. Jadzia Dax is also worth noting. She was one of the most 'alive' characters in all of Trek, always lighting up a room with her personality. Ezri had a lot of potential, but too little time to work on it. Seven of Nine is probably my favorite character in all of Star Trek, but aside from the Doctor, I'm not a huge fan of most of Voyager's cast. Her name carried "the warning", "the warning" scheduled projection, [. "Q" was likely her father, ...and backup, . ] the scheduler scheduled a trigger & notice to "Q", the trigger induced projection, projection completed her will, and reward.
Well it was kind of imperative that they have that connection open. Remember their doctor is a hologram who was at that moment, on a ship in the alpha quadrant, and he would be coming back to Voyager through the network that Hirogen so bullheadedly refused to allow them access to.
I think Seven realized that he was just going to get in the way, and that negotiating with him was an unnecessary risk, even with Janeway negotiating. (We _are,_ after all, talking about the Hirogen.) A more surefire way to guarantee the Doctor's return was just to knock him out for a few hours until the Doctor returned, at which point Voyager could simply leave and the disgruntled prick could be left to groan and pull himself up in peace.
This was just another illustration of how Janeway allowed females on her ship to get away with things she would never tolerate in males, like the time B'lana almost killed Joe Kerry by punching him in the face. Even as the man lay bleeding in sickbay they joked about him, yet if this were the other way around and a MAN did this to a WOMAN then it would never be tolerated. Then what does Janeway do? Does she punish B'lana? Hell no. She instead PROMOTES her to Chief Engineer. Had a man done this his career would be OVER but Janeway allows females to get away with things like this while putting males in the brig for it. Janeway constantly had an open door policy to the female crew but chastised the males if they ever broke protocol (Tom Paris was a good example of this). Janeway even put her first officer in the brig because he tried to stop her from BREAKING THE LAW when she exposed a Starfleet crewman from the another ship to an entity that was trying to kill them for their part in killing their own kind. This of course is irrelevant because by all rights the crewman would stand trial for his culpability in what his own captain did, but the point is, once again, Janeway just bowls right over the men while extending complete forgiveness to women who commit the same crimes. This was the one aspect I didn't like about Voyager. I loved the premise but Janeway's constant favoritism of females was clearly apparent - unless of course one chooses to disregard it (how convenient).
That would be cruel and inhumane, which Janeway is not. She could restrict her access to the rest of the crew, and ban her from Stellar Cartography for three days..
It was even a Hirogen episode, but my favorite Seven moment (I sincerely didn't know about this one, still second place) Hirogen: Sing or die. Seven: Then I will die. For all your skill at hunting, the Borg will reach this place and assimilate you. On that day, remember me."
Lol!! After Janeway asks what happened & Seven answers. She’s so shocked at what she did. She couldn’t even talk, that’s why she looks at B’lanna. Who has to ask if he is dead! Best part ever.

You can, it's called ignoring them...
No, that doesn't always work. Many can't seem to realize that they're being ignored, or if they can, they can use it against YOU just as easily.
You'd consume the power necessary to feed a city for a week within hours.
"apparently there was a code that did send an electric shock through the keyboard" which makes no sense since the vast majority of computer keyboards have been made out of plastic since...well since forever. Apparently you should use your brain a little and not just believe everything you hear.
well ya definitely know that ya done somethin´ truly awesome when Torres spits out a praise..
That's why we love her.
7of9 had some other moments like this (my personal favorite was holodeck satans robot vs her. Surrender! I'am borg!*yanks some bit off, robot dies*)
that was epic
What episode was that?
Never really been a fan of the Star Trek movies.
But if they made one about the Voyager crew, I think I'd happily go to the cinema to watch it.
I know Voyager isn't often considered the best series. But it was the first series I ever watched, and I felt I really made a connection with each of the crew members.
The characters were quite well developed, and you knew how each of them reacted and spoke.
I think Tuvok was always my favorite. He really did play the best Vulcan of the lot.
Tuvok was def the best Vulcan in history in my opinion. All the others were boring and non expressive
What about Tuvix?
The reset button was annoying, but Voyager was like family. That’s why we love it.
Meaning he actually played the worst Vulcan.
Sarek was pretty good but we barely knew ye. Sorik was probably top tier as well, also on Voyager.
My three favorite ladies from any Star Trek
Deanna Troi, Dr Beverly Crusher, and Lt Tasha Yarr are just going to pretend they didn’t hear you.
While the TNG women are being polite and not wishing to start a ruckus, Colonel Kira will kick your ass.
Oh no, I hope that miss Useless, Boring and Dead aren’t offended.
But anyway, that's just this one fellow's random opinion. ^_^
I LOVED Janeway & B'Elanna's reaction to what Seven did. classic.
They probably could’ve called every episode from season 4 onwards “The One Where Seven of Nine Was Annoyed by......” 🤣
"The one where 7 of 9 had her clothes painted on because the show will die without T & A."
Janeway gave her a “remind me not to mess with her” look.
I LOVE it!!!!! Those lady's are awsome!!!!
Haha, I love Seven. You know she'll do what needs to be done.
Michael Fawcett and that was Seven being restrained actually
"she'll do what needs to be done" Like start a war with an enemy they have NO intel on.
that remained to be seen!
@@spaceclaw1958 Or like to bite the hand that could be able to feed you. With such personal lacking so much self control you need no further enemies. ... But well, what should you do with your most beautiful horse in your regiment?! 🤷🏻♂️🤔
it was a mild shock, he will recover......lol
He was fine...but than again he may have not dried his hands properly after going to the bathroom so in that case he was toast.
This was the first time 7of9 said "thank you" to Be'lana.
B'Elanna and Seven didn't get along early on ...... so it's not surprising.
Hats off to the professionalism of Mulgrew and Ryan. Desperate the rift between them they had some great on screen chemistry.
Resistance is futile
Resistance is fabulous... ;-)
".... And when he does?"
I believe that's code for, "and WHYYY, didn't you kill him?", Seven.
Paul Engler 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
..i doubt that, prolly just some 'Oh, he's gonna be in a MOOD' talk @first comment.
I like the way Janeway's reference to 'our friend' could refer to both the Hirogen AND Seven and B'elanna's, "Mild shock, not bad!" could be complimenting Seven's ingenuity OR the fact that she got Janeway to believe it was only a mild shock when in fact she'd killed the Hirogen. 🤣
B'elana: Mild shock not bad
Jason Nesmith B'elana loved that.
betya he dead
Totally something she would've done in her season one days.( B' elana i mean)
I think it was AWESOME screenwriting to have B'lanna appreciate Seven's actions. She is half Klingon, after all 😋
You forgot the quotation markers: "mild" shock
This is why I love seven of nine. She was a badass that took no BS 😂🎉
Janeway was like "What the hell was that Seven."
"The Borg equivalent of diplomacy, Captain"
“I’m about to do what’s called a pro gamer move” - Seven of Nine
"He wasn't responding to diplomacy."
I guess thats what most get for not responding for diplomacy in the form of that feedback pulse xD.
This is by far one of my favorite scenes in all of Star Trek.
Acting of Capt Janeway is amazing here
And that is how Captain Seven will command the Enterprise G. Janeway taught her well.
Psycho Captain Janeway: And if he gives us anymore problems up the voltage.
Psycho Janeway would've thrown 7 in the brig for NOT killing him.
Captain Janeway's look- 0:35 - 0:42.... That there is a splendid rendition of the classic "Mom Face"; you know, that look of Horrified Incredulity, or, Incredulous Horror, take your choice, when you have done something REALLY stupid.
I grew up with TNG and DS9 was the best ST ever, but Voyager was the classic lost explorer scenario played out extremely well, over a far more memorable than not series. None of them escaped the occasional bad episodes, but Voyager had just as many great ones as the others, and a wonderful cast.
DS9 isn't even Trek. It's an immoral soap opera for people not intellectually capable of appreciating real Trek.
@@captainjefferies9047 No one ever has, or ever will, care about what you think.
And you're the reason your mom drank.
@@captainjefferies9047 Thank you.
That's why I call it deepthroat 9.
Janeway's face when noticing that 7 was right...
And then she had her don't think about, keep calm and carry on moment, thats allways a classic!
Captain Janeway: *surprised pikachu face*
B'Elanna: *respect for Seven's game*
Stunned the Hirogen, shocked the Captain and impressed B’Elanna. Not a bad days work.
When Janeway looks at Torres and says “let me know if our friend gives us any more trouble”, I’m not sure if she means the hirogen, or seven.
"Mild shock...not bad.”
All three of our favorite Voyager ladies.
Plus, I love the dialogue between Torres and Seven.
7 of 9 diplomacy skill level up
I don't think you know what _diplomacy_ actually is.
Her name carried "the warning",
"the warning" scheduled projection,
[. "Q" was likely her father, ...and backup, . ]
the scheduler scheduled a trigger & notice to "Q",
the trigger induced projection,
projection completed her will, and reward.
@@JanetStarChild Montgomery Scott said the best diplomat is a fully charged phasor bank
The first time I saw this in the show I literally couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
Mild shock? Not bad... Praise indeed....
At least she's not annoyed by hydrogen
He was not responding to Diplomacy. So I shock the piss out of him.. Janeway just lets it go.
So you're saying if Spock or Data did such a thing, Kirk or Picard (respectively), would have punished them? I don't buy it.
@@WelshWidgetMan2O1O
It is cruelty after her own heart...
Since 7 isn't actually in Starfleet Janeway couldn't punish her for breaking regulations or the chain of command. Love it!
But she could disconnect her alcove for a day or two
And that could deionize her implants.
That would be cruel and inhumane, which Janeway is not. She could restrict her access to the rest of the crew, and ban her from Stellar Cartography for three days..
You're correct, I stand corrected.
Randall Banks thing is she is the only.member who can use astrometrics well. like it or not Seven is untouchable
I never noticed Roxann was pregnant this season (until the ww2 holodeck episode), they did a good job downplaying it
The console she’s working on is suspiciously high though 😛 but I’ve only noticed that today and I must have seen this episode ten times.
When she got pregnant, her uniform changed^^ she was wearing jackets to hide the belly
Really? The out of nowhere full body overcoat uniform wasn't a hint?
". .. You killed him ??!”... "It was a mild shock, he'll recover." 😆
It was even a Hirogen episode, but my favorite Seven moment (I sincerely didn't know about this one, still second place)
Hirogen: Sing or die.
Seven: Then I will die. For all your skill at hunting, the Borg will reach this place and assimilate you. On that day, remember me."
Janeway to B’Elanna: “Let me know if 𝑜𝑢𝑟 friend gives us any more trouble.”
She wasn’t just talking about the Hirogen.😅
That is the coolest screen ever. Glad they created this. Now only if they actually advanced Voyager once Seven came aboard.
They did, but it was just better sensors, and some power distribution systems.
Didn’t Voyager wind up with Borg shield technology once Seven joined?
Should have, realistically. But you know Star Trek writers.
@@jamesjscorpio34 The writers that did exactly what you are shaming for not doing.
@@redrick8900 How so? Borg inspired torpedos were only on the first Delta Flyer. Higher warp drive? Better sensors? Phasers?
Janeway is half "Damn, well done!" and half "Don't ever do that again... Please?"
"He wasn't responding to diplomacy."
🤣
Torres' ( Klingon ) personality really appreciated how Seven of Nine handled the failure with diplomacy. So did I ! ha ha
Oh sweet 7 of mine
I recall that scene with fondness. Thanks for posting.
Miss this show so much..
I freakin love the lines Seven of Nine used on this series. So abrupt but oh so well timed.
Yep...Seven is gonna be a great captain one day😅
"...is the sensor link stable?"
What 7 says: "Yes, Captain."
What 7 wanted to say: "I am Borg."
I always love Kate Mulgrews facial expressions
Lol!! After Janeway asks what happened & Seven answers. She’s so shocked at what she did. She couldn’t even talk, that’s why she looks at B’lanna. Who has to ask if he is dead! Best part ever.
I love how Janeway doesn’t say that she approves of shocking him, but she’s definitely impressed
All the ladies, performing like PROS!!! I miss this
This it a great quote ! A mild chock ! :D
7 of 9: "Capitan were being healed."
Janeway: "on screen"
"Yes hello I'm contacting you about your ships extended warranty".
Janeway: "7 you know what to do"
7 of 9: "yes capitan"
Bzzzzzzzzooooott⚡⚡⚡⚡☠️
I like that the Hirogen are supposed to be the aliens that hunt and kill the aliens that killed the Borg, but yet here they can be knocked out over a Zoom call.
The moment Torres started feeling those funny feelings for Seven.
And that’s the Borg way of doing things
Hirogen: All messages will be intercepted!
Janeway: Is there some room for negotiation?
Seven: I don't time for this bullshit!
I love that Janway after a few moments of shock was basically "fine fine, let's just do what we're here to do and talk about the details later."
