Heart Sutra Discussion (July 3, 2024)

A group discussion of the Heart Sutra on July 3rd, 2024. The actual discussion starts at 9:09 (after the chanting).
Starting at about --- I really screwed up and got the characters 不 and 無 mixed up somehow. The charater 不 means "not" and is sometimes pronounced "bul" and sometimes pronounced "bur" in Sino-Korean. The character 無 means "no" or "without" and is pronounced "mu" in Sino-Korean. Sorry for any confusion!!!
Several different commentaries on the Heart Sutra are mentioned during the discussion. Some of these are freely available for download, others are only available as books to be purchased.

What do you think of Sodargye Rinpoche's division of the "core" part of the Heart Sutra into three parts:
1. "Foundation" Prajnaparamita?
2. "Path" Prajnaparamita?
3. "Result" Prajnaparamita?
Why does Kuiji spend over half of his commentary on the one line "while practicing deeply the Prajnaparamita"??
What do you think of the Dalai Lama's explanation about how the Heart Sutra mantra can be understood in terms of the Bodhisattva Path?
