In this video, I installed a set of charcoal cabin filters in my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. Why didn't GM just sell them this way?
This was originally filmed back in February and just found the memory card that it was filmed on, so I decided to upload in case anyone needed info on this. -Randy

This was a great video! Easy to understand and straight to the point. I'm still driving a 2003 TB and we'll be putting them in now.
Found this one on a spare memory card and decided to edit it and upload in case someone might need the info!
Ty! Ty! Ty!!
Does this fit for an 02 trailblazer?
Yep.
Very helpful, thanks
This was super helpful, thank you!
oh dear I have to check that now on mine
I don't think there is any filter and nor has it been cleaned ONCE either
Great, Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
I have a 2003 Chevy trailblazer ltz edition 6 cylinder and I went to auto zone and they say they couldn't find anything for me as far as cabin filter goes they said it's not recommended but I pulled out a pound of leaves and dirt so why would they say it doesn't need one. I'm gonna try this and see what happens
They couldn't find anything for a Trailblazer because they didn't come factory with one. The Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Sierra did and the TB shares the fan/airbox design with them. If they saw how much crap gets stuck in there and then blown out the vents I bet they would!
@@FiveFiveGarage I bought some Purolator filters from my local auto zone. I was just gonna leave it but it would end up getting clogged. I pulled out leaves and dirt as big as my head 😂. It fixed the leak I had. I kept getting water on my passenger side carpet and now that don't happen since it's been clean. But thanks for all the info brother definitely appreciated
Do more trailblazer maintenance videos like diff fluid change fuel filter etc.
I will add to my list! I do have to change that stuff out this year.
Thanks for this video. I have a 07 Chevy Trailblazer LT now. Any how-to’s you add is greatly appreciated. After cabin air filter upgrade .. in need of passenger fog-light replacement. Would you make that video? Thanks!
Yup. My TB doesn't have foglights, but I do have one I can borrow that does.
Five Five Garage Excellent.. I will keep checking! Thanks a lot!
I literally just replaced this myself yesterday afternoon. If youre just replacing the bulb its easy literally just turn counter clockwise with the pig tail attached still then unplug and plug in the new one. If youre a bigger person such as myself you may need a little jack to pick it up a bit

Thank you for this. The stores in my area don't carry the brand you are using. Do you have an equivalent with other major brands?
You want to find a cabin filter that fits a 2000 Chevy Silverado. They should come two in a box. I know Purolater ONE #C15388 fits if you have that locally. You can also cross reference that number with the book they usually have in the stores to find one that is an equivalent.
Subbed
Is it really worth installing the cabin filters I have been kicking the idea around for while did it hurt the airflow or anything I always have stuff flying out of my vents into my face too lol
Yes! I would sneeze from all the dust and crap blowing from the vents. After installing the filters that stopped immediately. GM really should have installed them as standard.
Wish I could find description on this site---ATP filter #?????? Thank you
I don't know if those filters are available anymore. What you need to find is a set of cabin air filters for 99-02 Chevy Silverado. GM CF104 is the OEM part number. You can cross reference that and find a set of filters. I am using Ecogard XC15388.
Thank you for the info.
BTW, I really like your site.
I have a 2007 gmc envoy and i need a door for the cabin air filter space
Anybody have one to sell?
Salvage yard is probably going to be your best bet.
Can this be done on an 04 trailblazer?
Yep. You may have to pry the cover loose. I know on the newer TBs it's sealed shut.
Thanks for the video. I clicked the Amazon link and it comes back dead search. The link is no longer available apparently. Do you have another link??
I have been using this brand lately in both the Trailblazer and my Tahoe, I like the fact they have the carbon and soda in the filters, I haven't had any allergy issues.

@@FiveFiveGarage Wouldn’t I need to buy 2? You had 2 in the video
The filters I just listed come two to a box.
@@FiveFiveGarage I bought the part number 3012 air filters from O Riley’s and they said they won’t fit!! Had to install them vertical side by side and fit perfect. My vin number didn’t show they had these filters but they wrong cause mine fit like a glove. Lol. Thanks for all you do.
If you go to O’Reilly Auto Parts you can get a Microgard filter kit just like this one. Just in case you don’t want to wait on Amazon.
Part No. 3012
Line Code- MGD
my 2004 doesen't have that door
For the 04s and up I remember reading on the TrailVoy forums that some guys had to cut the cover free.
@@FiveFiveGarage Yeah,i read that after i posted,thanks for sharing.
