You are awesome. I am a beginner and I have learned so much already .I want to make this blanket .Wish me luck .Thank You for your thorough teaching methods. So easy to follow . Tfs.
im planning on making this blanket using the same pattern, however what if i wanted to make my edges neat by dropping the first stitch? would it still work to drop the first stitch of every ow even when your purling?
you can’t with this stitch. stockinette naturally curls. you can, on the purl rows, knit 3 stitches in the beginning and the end to stop it from curling
There are a lot of sites and tutorials that show you how to adjust your cast on stitch number using a different yarn. I think sheep and stitch has a good one.
It’s a *great* idea to knit a blanket and send it to Australia. We are 5 days into 2020 and half of the country is burning down. Half a billion animals have tragically died, and blankets are being accepted for the animals that barely managed to escape but got sent to veterinary centres.
These blankets with this yarn might be too heavy and too big for the smaller animals. Maybe a safer material (medically sterile) that won't irritate burn wounds.
Hi Cindy! It's Bernat Mega Bulky: www.yarnspirations.com/bernat-mega-bulky-yarn--300g-10.5-oz-/161188.html We've also updated the link in the video description so you can download the pattern.
while knitting you need to talk. even if it about much of nothing. its a little boring while you knit/crochet and dont say anything. i understand you are showing, but not talking is too quiet. i love watching your tuts. you are awesome.
time stamp✨
cast on 2:06
knit row 6:33
purl row 10:50
last row 15:59
cast off 18:42
this was my first time knitting ever and im not currently done but its already looking great! this tutorial was super easy and nice to follow!
I just ordered the yarn to make this. I will be doing a knitted cast on, rather than long tail...I prefer that method

Wonderful! You are an awesome and effective instructor. I plan on doing this blanket. Be blessed and thank you for sharing 🤗
Really appreciate the discussion of the ends of the rows with knitting. They always freak me out!
Thank you so much Brittany!! You're awesome!😘
What method is used to join the skeins?

Hi, Love this blanket. I was wondering how you get it to stop from curling in on both sides.

Can I ask where do I get those thick needles and yarn please?
Bought 50 balls of the 200g yarn from the end of the year clearance sale... i didnt know what to make but i know now!
Great to hear! Happy crafting!
Can you adjust the pattern to US 11 circular knitting needles using Bernat Blanket yarn? How many to extra stitches to cast on & how many extra rows?

@@arwen521 ma’am this comment is 5 years old 😂
I have no idea how to position my fingers to get the Stitches on the needle
Can’t find the pattern
do you need to have the circular needles?
what if you used straight needles is there much of a difference?
I don't think 65 stitches will fit? Unless you can find mega long straight needles!
I tried on straight needles and it wouldn’t fit…it made it too difficult to knit
So how do we add a new ball of yarn on? Do we just tie it together?
Yeah I usually just double knot it together
Did u get these needles at hobby lobby ? How many skeins do I need and the who makes it please going to craft store and need to know what to buy
The patterns lists the amount and I purchased the needles at hobby lobby

Well, I like to sew the ends together, bypass the weaving in and out.
No indication on how to join such bulky yarn. :-(
Where do we buy those large knitting needles?
Michaels
Can’t find the needles anywhere... does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve looked on Amazon and the ratings weren’t very good

I don't mind the quiet at all. For those who are trying to focus & learn, I appreciate the quiet. She's by far the best teacher I've seen.
I'd rather have no talking where it is not needed. Watching her work is the best way to learn.
