When i was a young one i remember seeing a black 2 door Edsel in the junk yard that had perfect sheet metal because it was in there because of a engine issue. it was the only one in the area so nothing was stripped off of it metal wise. about 1 year later it had a crushed roof from a junker on top of it and to this day i still think of that one and dream of making a hot rod from it. This video brought back this memory like i lightening bolt. if i lived near here i know i would ask if i could make one out of all of these to fill the hole in my heart for one only now i see a super charger sticking out of the hood with big fat tires and everything,,, i love it , i need it,,,,, Darn it the Highway star song from Deep Purple is playing in my head now as well.

Thanks for posting, I hope someone can save some of those wagons, especially that goldish green Edsel wagon that looked straight as he'll. I'm a chevy man but love all wagons no matter the make as I have 2 magnum wagons
@@SawKustomzthat is awesome. I love watching these videos seeing the classics at the yards and many can be sold complete amd put back on the road, back when many were"junked" they were not worth nearly as much and sadly too many people chopped up the wagons and 4 doors for parts for their 2 doors. Camaros (mainly 3rd gem camaros) and the only 2 door cars I buy as I'm a long roof lover as well and have 3 burbans,2 magnum wagons and my mid engined 60s chevy scooby g10 van 108 besides my 91 rs camaro and 2018 malibu . Good luck fixing up the villager will be awesome. I'm trying to make a deal on a very decent 55 belair 4 door wagon, project comes with all her chrome and emblems and hasn't been molested looks wise thank God just been sitting 35 years
@rscamarolover always said we wish we started buying wagons years ago. No one wanted them. I always loved them, and so does my wife. The edsel is hers. It will be one of the next builds on our channel. Good luck with your wagons!

There was a guy in Sacramento off of Florin who had a pile of Edsels, maybe 50? I went by often. and He didn't do anything to them and I could see the deterioration. Don't know what happened to them. This guy needs a loader to lift them while the mower guy cuts the grass and cleans out the foliage underneath.

One of the most unique Edsel's I ever saw was in Anchorage, AK and somebody had put a off road 4 wheel drive under the body.

Wow That is a lot of Edsels. I wonder how many had factory ac and how many had the MEL engine.
No factory A/C ones, although my dad did get a few of them over the years. And the MEL engine was what was in all 1958 Corsair and Citation models.
Very cool 🤙 I have 2 58 2 dr's
He wants them hoods & doors closed,, cause that wind in the Dakota's would rip them off & bend em backwards 😊
Gotta make a correction. I mistakenly said Jay Lehr when it was Tim Lehr that made the video!! OOPS!!

It's available!😉
Are any of the edels for sale
Yes, most of them are. However a majority are pretty well in the parts car status.
Mr. Jeff, was your dads name Jerry?
@@joemancini3258 no, it was Leroy.
Tristesse de voir un telle trésors Partir en morceaux .
Taillight lenses seem to be missing on most.
That's one of the easiest things to break on the 58 models. So they have always sold well. But I do sell new reproduction lenses for all 58 models!
Who could afford a junk car restoration in this depressionary Obiden economy???
Bunch of junk. 😂😂😂
Yeah but one person's junk is another person's gold!😁
