If we can't move him before the season starts the home crowd better cheer their butts off for him. He deserves to know that it's nothing personal. If the team was ready, we'd be thrilled we got him.
I think Bruce brown's a good guy and solid player he just got traded to a team that doesn't hasn't truly set their identity yet and because of that I think BB would be better off on a team competing like OKC, my eyes would be set on Nikola Topic if I were trading him there

When Masai flips brown for a first round pick in a stack 2025 draft, or a nice young player then you guys will understand why he picked up his contract. Go on the post woj made about us picking up Brown’s contract and look at all the quotes from fans from contenders that were hoping we would let him walk so they can pick him up for free. These teams and their fans want Brown but obviously NBA GM’s aren’t stupid and won’t outbid themselves if they can just wait to see if we let him walk. Look how far the Kings took it to get Pascal by bad talking his game so we would except a bad package from him. Offers will start coming in for Brown now that teams know we’re picking up his option and they’re not getting him as a free agent. It’s all about if the raptors think they can get a good deal for him now, or at the deadline.

What would you think it would take to trade Bruce B to Houston for Dillion Brooks. I understand we would have to add draft assets.
Dillion is still young enough for timeline and helps wing Def. Bruce would be a great vet for their young team.
This would save us $750k and we need to do very good Sasha V buyout.
Just get Bruce brown out of here, not a good fit for our team or lost his spark. He looks confused and timid on the court. Plus, that contract is way too much. Try to trade for a good cheap piece, re sign Gary.

Gotta let Masai and Bobby play this out. I suspect there will be at least a few more transactions before the start of the season. Perhaps the Raps are also betting on Brown to play better this season so he brings more value to a contending team at the trade deadline...? Good point however that, as things stand now, $23M for a guy that will not be part of the Raps rebuild / future doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

@@mikeyjames by the looks of it Trent wants too much I think $25 million I think its too rich for the raptors after signing Barnes, Quickley and with Poeltl and Barrett salaries can't afford Trent.

nah there would have to be a pick or young player coming back because wiggins has 3 years on his contract and is a risk. would have to be a lowly protected 1st or even unprotected because gsw can go into a rebuild at any time and the pick wont convert.

@@IceManLikeGervin i doubt it unless golden state attaches a lightly protected 1st to raptors in the deal. as we saw cap space is at a premium where kings gave up alot for just 8 million in cap space to get under the luxury tax. i am telling you gsw is gonna have to pay an arm and a leg to get rid of wiggins.

Listen People - GTJ is a sign and trade (to help him get the most money), he ain't coming back, they have 3 SG's in Grady, JKW, and OA, there is no room for GTJ. However the Raps need a back up SF, enter Bruce Brown, or Sasha is the next option - not good. They'll need to get a SF back in any trade involving BB.
Walters will probably start off in the G league unless he’s super impressive this summer and OA isn’t a guard. Wouldn’t mind keeping Gary, look at the deal Monk got 19 million a season. GTJ isn’t getting the 20 million he was previously demanding. Around 15 million a season isn’t bad at all.
@@27Lozc OA is a 6'5 SG/SF. IMO to small to play SF. GTJ is NOT Monk. GTJ made 18 this year, so you got him taking a paucity?
Walter will play in the G league but he will get minutes with the big club like Dick did. Walter is one of the players that NBA ready from the draft. This team won’t be good next season either. I hope you guys know this. Even Darko hinted at this in his Serbian video. All these guys will get reps on the big club and in the G league just like last season.

That shows that he was gambling on outplaying his old 18 million dollar contract and that never happened. More common sense you aren’t using. Your opinion on OA doesn’t matter, facts are he’s played nothing but forward position here, has a near 7ft wingspan and is a struggling shooter.
If Brown gets traded soon I can see GTJ coming back at 18-20 million. He led the NBA in wide open 3fg shooting percentage at 51.3%. Raps need to keep their shooters not trade them away. GD is more of a SF as is Agbaji (who hasn't proven to be a consistent shooter). Ja'Kobe is likely to spend a lot of time with the 905.

I doubt that rumor is new. Sasha wanted to go back to Europe because he wasn’t getting minutes with the Kings and he was a star in Europe so it make’s sense. 5 days before the trade he meet with Darko. Darko likely told him I will get you out of there, bring you to Toronto and give you minutes with Trent likely being gone. I doubt raptors traded for him to then take a hit on his contract and let him go back to Europe. The back to Europe talk was likely if he had to spend another season on the kings bench being their Garrett Temple. When knees come from European reporters something it isn’t always based on solid sources. He likely did want to go back to Europe but not now when he has a European coach in Darko who likely promised him minutes.
@@mikeyjames rumor is he will sign 4 years in Greece. We will have to do some buy out but I don’t want to do the $6.6 mil. Maybe we pay him 1/3 of that.
