I was thrilled with the second round. On my Raptors big board I had Mogbo at 31, Shead at 32, and Chomche at 37. Feels like we finally re-stocked our development system to an above-average level. Stoked to watch the 905 this year. If I hear one more person ask why we passed on Flip I’m gonna flip.
sounds like from bobby interview the 57th pick for chomche was a trade that has to be finalized tomorrow. curious who was moved for 57th pick. javon freeman liberty?
Sasha was unlucky to get injured during the season. Before the injury he was getting better and better with each game. And Darko knows him very well. If the Raptors manage to use him correctly. Sasha can score 10 to 12 points per game as a bench player.
As a kings fan it was hard to watch sasha get bodied and ragdolled by 20yr olds that physically just dominated him , not saying he was bad but he is a small ball player and needs to hit the weight room ASAP
all facilitated by the new NBA CBA more teams wanna dump salary, so our trade deadline becomes very interesting if we hold onto Bruce Bown and Chris Boucher.
Brooo that McDaniels trade is crazyy.. and the draft picks this time around is absolutely amazing.. finally some positive energy around this franchise.. masai is still mid tho.. that lucky Kawhi trade workin out has propelled him to a position he doesn't deserve.. but it is what it is..
@@paulwall7045 what they paid for OG and Achiuwa is reasonable compared to what they just paid for Mikal Bridges.. they just gave away so much crazy draft capital and they're still not better than the Celtics
Today the assistant coach is meeting Vezenkov - they will discuss what is going to happen - whether Sasha is going to be used or maybe Sasha will accept an offer from Europe and ends the NBA journey. To be honest, I don't understand the disrespect to the Euroleague MVP players. Why bother taking them in NBA if you don't want to build a team around them. Take a look at Wembanyama - imagine putting this guy on the bench and give him 5min a game and expect to adapt and become better player in the future. Wembanyama also comes from Europe and also requires adaptation period. It is the same for every player. I'll give an example with FIRST year of Steph Curry - avg 36.2 minutes per game and 17.5 pt per game, that makes 0.483 pt per game for each minute on the field. Where Sasha had 0.442 pt per game, considering that he has only 12min on average with multiple substitutions, with no time to warm up and get into the game. Now imagine how much more trust Warriors had in young Curry by playing him for 36min a game.
That trade was a fleece, but they might get fleeced themselves. With the trade the Raptors are at $180M without re-signing Gary and give Quickley estimated $25M plus Brown & Boucher still on roster. So unless they continue on with the first apron a Bruce Brown trade might not be that great.

Pod actually starts @3:25
I was worried we were gonna take Chomache at 31. We got him super late. Well done Bobby and Masai.
I wanted flip over Mogbo but trust the process

Mogbo's coach did not allow him to shoot 3s in college. He was a good 3 pt shooter in high school.
Mogbo gives precious achiuwa but hes actually good at basketball mixed with point forward draymond vibes
i am gonna be talked into him so freaking easily....
Yah. Precious achiwa with a brain and willingness to pass. Sure.
so basically nothing like precious lol
Mogbo to me gives young Thad Young. Which I'm stoked for.

The Vezenkov bump - hope he stays with the Raptors
if walter can play D like Gary Payton II that would be ideal

Chill. We just got NYC to overpay for OG. Which will fuck with their team in 2 years like a ticking time bomb.

Masai is "mid" huh? Thanks for letting us know you started watching basketball in 2019.
@@JohnSmith-bk7hk its over dude, damn you actually messaging people a week late? how slow are you? embarrassment to your parents.

I think the moves today are prepping us for them letting Brown and Trent walk for nothing.

Flip was not the right locker room player for this team
