The HV1 track set just comes with track (I think it comes with the feeder wire to connect to a controller as well. I believe the HM1 (maybe it is a different name) comes with the controller as well. I believe the HV1 has a larger radius curve than the hm1 set such that the two would make a double loop.
Probably you will have to cut the plug off the wires coming from the track (the part that would go into a Kato power supply) so you can connect it to the DCC system which usually come with screw terminals or so some other plug you have to attach the wires to.
I believe they have 15” radius curves available in HO scale in unitrack. I’m not sure if they have smaller. You would have to buy the track pieces separately though. They don’t have a loop that small in one package.
I don’t own a Kato Controller, but I really want to buy this track...where did you get the extension cord you used to have it work with the controller? Are there any for Bachmann controllers?
Most online retailers that sell the Kato packs sell the cord that had the blades for the screw terminals on one end. In your case you will have to just cut the plug off the included power lead and then get a wire for a Bachmann controller and cut the track end off that wire and then connect the two together. Just stripping off the insulation and twisting the wires together good and wrapping them in electrical tape will suffice if you don’t have a soldering iron. Just make sure you keep the positive and negative wires separated good by a couple layers of tape so a stray wire doesn’t poke through and short out the connection.
Love the demo, but the dog stole the show!
Looks like the pooch was supervising lol,,,that kato track is the best to use under the xmas tree ,,,,thanks for sharing
Yep, wanted to make sure I did everything correct.
3:14 Sparing viewers your dog's butthole is far more important than doing everything correctly.... 😷
That dog, lol
For the kato hv1 track does that come with everything you need besides the controller?

How can I wire this for dcc?
Same way basically. Just connect the wires to a DCC system instead of a DC throttle.
@@StevesTrains oh ok, imma do that
@@StevesTrains do I cut anything?

@@StevesTrains oh ok I'll definitely go ahead and do that.
What’s the smallest oval I can buy!

@@StevesTrains Thank you!
Is it 48 by 78
I don't remember the exact dimensions, but it is just under 4x8 feet.
Do The Dogs like it?
They didn’t destroy it so I guess not! Lol
This is from Bradford exchange. The tran set
I didn’t buy it from Bradford exchange. It was available from a variety of hobby retailers as well as Amazon at the time I purchased it.
Calling Kato or Hornby the Bradford Exchange is literally one of the greatest insults possible to model railroaders!
Oh good but I don,t like.
