I am starting with a V16 track set and a V4 turnout set. My plan is to create a Wyoming and Utah scene reminencent of the era of the Big Boy with the modern effect of have two EMG DP70ACe engines on the oppisite line. Gotta long way to go but it's the journey right not just the destination! Wish me well!
Okay, now flip the switch/turnout off of the track that the loco is on and try to run it into the switch. I don’t think those turnouts let you run the train while it’s on one of those four sections when the turnout is set against it, right?

Thanks fellas for the demo. I am about to buy the M1 set with the P42 Amtrak set. As soon as I can afford it, I'll be getting some turnouts.

Correct, if there isn’t a feeder track on a section that is lined against the original mainline you won’t have power.
