I just got the Riptide SL 2 months ago, after looking into it, and watching this video you convinced me, riptide is freaking awsome, i used it for almost every pool, it made my work so much easier, its weightless due to the big tires and i can put all my tools and equipment in the bins and theres still so much room left for more stuff.

Highly Agree, Been using Riptide for almost 8 months now, couldn't be more pleased with it.
The Riptide is the best. It makes my day easier. I can even climb on it to unlock gates without worry of welds breaking haha.

I have had a hammerhead vacuum since 2012 for my pool route and have been happy with it although this one sounds like a good replacement. Thanks for the video

Thanks for the comment. I think you'll like it too. I'm working on a 1 year review video of the Riptide so I'm hoping I'll be able to post that soon to highlight some of the differences. All 3 work but I do believe the Riptide does a better job and the simple prevention of bag blow offs is huge to me. Have a great day!

Would you use a portable filtration system in an algae cleanup or would this system cut it without the need to buy a pfs or use the clients system?
They do make an ultra fine bag that does pick up algae dust. However, a portable vac system would ensure its 100% perfect the first time you vacuum. Hope that makes sense.
Or Vac to waste on a clients system.
What brand of windbreaker is that, looks very nice!
I'll have to get the name for you. It's solid. It's actually an uninsulated rain jacket. So that way you're not boiling when it's raining.

What battery do you use? I get full power for about 20 min then it feels like 20% battery
I use the Duracell 35ah AGM battery. How old is your battery? I've found if you are working a full route they need to be replaced every 12-18 months.
Chlorine King Pool Service about 7 months working a full route. It’s the universal AGM 75AH
So when do you use something like the Riptide vs the old school manual vacuum? do you use the Riptide for regular routine service?
I use the Riptide for about 95% of my cleanings each week. I really only use manual for extreme cases. I hope this helps.

@@aheathenoutdoors4947 picks us small debris including sand with it's 100micron bag which comes standard
I've actually never used the fine bag because the standard 100 does so good.
Have you heard about this vacuum system It's called( the bottom feeder) it has a 20 micron filter on top of the vacuum head If you have I would like to know what you think of it I'm thinking about buying it Just need some more in put on it

I don’t have any personal experience so I can’t say one way or the other. However, the riptide is still awesome!! I love it and have around 13 units now.
@@ChlorineKingPoolService Damn. Do you get them for your techs? I was thinking of having our techs pay theirs off after we purchase it for them. We 1099 them, so we want to be careful not to treat them like employees. Do you W2 yours?
