I know this is at this time 5 years old. I’ve started my Pool business legitimately with a bunch of your help Mr Chlorine King. I’ve watched so many of your vids. This one I finally had time to watch. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU and GOD BLESS you. I really appreciate you taking your time to do this. You’re changing my life bro❤
So sorry for the late response but I’m so happy to hear the advice is helping you. If you need anything else just let me know. I hope your business is flourishing!
That's really true , The Pool Tec can run into some problems or repairs that can take some time in any given day ...
👌🏼 good information.
Thanks Darryl! Thanks for watching.
Hey Eric I noticed in another video you mentioned that a buddy of yours lived on the east coast of Florida and he moved to the west coast to build a business there. I'm asking because I live in Melbourne Florida, is the money that much different? Thank you for all the videos
It really depends on the area. Where he was there wasn't that many pools and they were very far apart. I would imagine places like Daytona and Melbourne should have some density. I'm not sure on the rates. We start at $170 now for weekly.
What's the black box above your head when you are driving?
I think you're referring to my sunglass holder. If you check out my other videos you'll see sunglasses in them from time to time!
How much is your service call?
$125/$75 Public/Client
That is true but a lot of time you can convince them in person which sometimes you could not on the phone, that your higher fee is worth it because you provide more value!
You have a point too, but often times when you're bidding nearly double of what the average is I've found I've saved more time mentioning over the phone my minimum versus the accounts gained trying to explain the value of my business. I seem to do that well on the phone which turns into a nice pre qualifying. At least I'll know I can get an account for at least "X" dollars. Of course every area and every company is different.
Sales 101, never give anyone your minimum price. I understand the reason behind it, but I see this going bad two ways for you. Either they just simply say you are too expensive without you having much opportunity to build value of your brand, or when you do get out there, they know your starting rate and have a price to haggle around. I like a lot of your other videos, though. Keep em coming!
My starting is almost double of what the average is here. I've wasted too many hours on estimates to be told I'm too expensive, so to avoid time wasted I just say that. If they still continue, then I know I can at least secure the pool for my minimum. I'm also to a point to where I don't need another pool and I'll be just fine. Not being pompous, believe me, so I want to know when I'm going on an estimate I won't have a pricing issue.
You make good points too, and other companies go on every estimate.
