I have always enjoyed Heatwave, and the ability of the group to harmonize with perfection.
This song solidifies the point that ROD TEMPERTON is here. Temperton went on with Quincy to do Michael Jackson, George Benson, Chaka Kahn, Herbie Hancock, and others. His career suddenly ended and everyone was aghast! I, personally, heard it in you, Rod Temperton, in Boogie Nights, the hit preceding this Grooveline! Am still in shock about your passing. You made some jams. Just read the 1,000's of comments. R.I.P.

In 1978 I was 18 going on 19 in August. Disco was still the thing and Heatwave was my #1 favorite group. They are still one of my favorite groups be ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

Listening again & remembering the joy this track bought our stranger mismatch of people - average age 20Years. We’re in a pub in Marylebone, London, 1976 , hardly a Sov between us but this track came on & it seemed to gel us together cos we all started talking. Shortly after, went back to our abode with a link between ALL of us that developed thro’ us all being touched’ by this track at the time, some of us too embarrassed to acknowledge too., it was kinda Spiritual really.

The disco in 78 we went to was in the middle of nowhere old dusty lot and building. Now it's home to Sunnyvale high tech.
