Im really impressed by the intracy and attention to detail of Imperator Rome. I am 100% sure if they use everything they learnt and use our feedback Imperator Rome 2 or whatever game they develop next could become the next big hit like CK3.
I thought most events don't let you do anything else until you pick an option. I'm not sure for the loyalty event, but I seem to remember they deliberately are trying to prevent the exploit you mention. Also don't give free hands to governors unless they're very old. That causes corruption which, as you know is very bad. I've found giving big provinces to my direct family is ok assuming their stats are up to the task. Also make sure you have holdings and high prestige so your powerbase is large(r than theirs). But overall, another great overview. Thank you!
Yeah it is really short, would be great if they made expansions that’ start the game from the foundation of the republic in 509bc to the fall of the western empire in 476ad.
I've been saying that about the game since day one. It's fun not great would give it 7.5/10. The Invicta mod improved the gameplay and flavor. The way I describe the game it's like you are generally fighting province loyalty until you get the tech but by that time you every most things to remain stable stable country is set up, game is only 50 years left especially if you start as a tribe. At least with eu4 you have an extra 100-150 years to enjoy your power that you spent to achieve it.

possibly, but prepare for unrest for doing so! My rule of thumb is how much of your population they make up around 15%-20% is usually worth integrating early game. Late game usually you just want to convert them rather than making your integrated pops unhappy
@@ultrapro167 depends on your starting position if your diadochi you need to integrate a lot of pops if you play a republic then you integrate pops which high no of pops or give you heavy cav / horse archer / elephants
@@LordForwind Thanks, I guess it will come with more practice. I created Greater Iberia and integrating cultures just left me scratching my head. I think I saw some old advice that converting religions helps speed things up more than just focusing on pop integration too
Very useful. I do have two questions a. Why provinces are disloyal is still a bit of a mystery. You can assign troops to the governor to boost loyalty, but I haven't figured out to do it b. you can set what rank a culture can become (citizen, freeman etc) but what you should do or what effect that has on loyalty is also pretty vague.
Again really helpful. The comment about these "honest and just people are the worst" made me laugh. You sound a bit tired hope you get enough sleep from teaching us all the wonders of this game!
yeah they make so much trouble. My voice is a bit tired from everything so Im taking a day or so off recording, people shouldnt notice it though since I have several episodes built up
I'm here to understand why i have an average of 15 disloyal characters as a republic while owing half of Europe, but after i became a dictatorship for the first time i have 15 disloyal characters with only Italy and Greece
Some republics give loyalty to people in them and the party affiliation matters as well, in a dictatorship you get more ambitious characters wanting power which usually results in more disloyal people.
I have an innovation guide out soon, or do you mean how to get more research? I'm planning a government guide but can't say I ever have had issues with senate support
Culture is coming, colonization is rather easy, have 8 pop of accepted culture on the border of the colonializable land and you can simple click colonize
Generals are the most dangerous, as Armenia one guy got so much power base and 0 loyalty even if I adopted him and gave him a triumph. Ended up killing my king when I tried to assassinate. And lost 15k manpower from losing the legion and the war. Welp
I think the current loyalty system is just very lazy and tedious, especially if you have a vast empire and every governor you put in charge of a certain province instantly becomes disloyal so you have to switch him out for another one, which then also becomes disloyal. I think they should just completely remove the loyalty system from the game and replace it with certain events of generals plotting against you (if you are a very unpopular leader) or maybe more story events that lead to certain politicans becoming disloyal
When not even your wife in-game is loyal to you
Yeah that is a pain especially since it hurts more than most!
my wife tried to kill my heir
My wife in game had three children with 3 different men she had 6 in total 3 mine all the time i was married to her

victoria 2 is probably what they used some of it for

I sure hope so, it is super short

3:40 shitty states 😏
Great videos, Paradox should be sponsoring you (the sponsored videos I swear send me to sleep)
Sponsoring would be nice but it's unlikely. The ones that they put out weren't great I agree
the voice in the paradox videos is like a sleep hypnose thing

will you do a mid-late game, expansion guide? ie. How to handle new pops, when to integrate a culture etc
Probably a culture guide in the next few days

Provinces get disloyal due to the population being unhappy or the governor being disloyal

what do you think about proportional agreement as a tech? is it usefull or is it too slow?
I find it easier to just improve relationships and get subjects, the tech does the same but not as well
