    A little tip for best deity of war:
    If you play as epirus and play its missions, one mission gives you a quest for conquering troy area and returning back the achilles tomb after that you can form an achilles cult and then you would be able to worship him as a deity of war which gives you a moral as a passive and discipline bonus which its the best one for me

    When you mentioned the stability for tall as the tuistic you might have forgotten that all tuistic nations are migrantory tribes, and migrantory tribes use stability as their main currency for converting, assimilating and building armies of vast quantities as well as settling new lands. Also, the nocb war cost is for migrations, you start the game, nocb rome, all your armies don't need military access so you settle rome, uproot the entire population and do the same to egypt or something, then you have a massive migration that you can aim at wherever you wish to settle permanently. If you get less of a stability hit, you can nocb people faster.
    Edit: I got a game as tyrgatae and i invaded the bosporans and my armies went from 20 000 to around a 100 000, and the best part is they can settle anywhere i wish.

      @@LordForwind thats true, but all you need is to get to one of their fringe territories, settle it and you double that army. Eventually the sheer amount of troops you can field from casually occupying their outlying territories should overwhelm the romans.

    I played a game as the sarmatians where I migrated all of my land to Frisia and blobed a bit before becoming a monarchy and modernizing. I got the Noble happiness from the Sarmatians and the Commerce and slave output from the Germans. I love how you can mix and match to fit into the way you wanna play

    If you play tall, you don’t actually need research modifiers, it’s so easy to max out, unless you integrate some culture which outnumbers your pops. Because only research efficiency affects your research speed. And it’s some ratio of research points to your number of integrated pops. All you need is 1 city per province with basic buildings from bottom row (top row seems like a waste unless you go for really tall metropolis city) and somewhat happy pops

      I thought the research modifier apply directly to the speed/month, not the overall efficiency. I've noticed a boost when activating one even though I was at max efficiency already. Maybe there are a few types?

    "If you're playing wide"
    There's absolutely zero benefit of playing "tall" because you either play small or big, tall vs wide isn't a choice. Your capital region gets the vast majority of its population from migration and from captured slaves, so you either conquer all the time or you remain small. The balancing act comes from being able to assimilate the pops and keeping your tech going as you do so, and also keep your money coming in. Also keeping your characters loyal. Money = power, if you're losing a war but have tons of money, you can just hire a bunch of mercs to bust you out. Money also lets you build wonders which give you ridiculous bonuses, like better stats for your characters, faster tech, faster assimilation, increased stability etcetera etcetera. Pop growth is essentially worthless unless you have a MASSIVE land area, that 0.04% per month equals roughly about one pop per region per 200 years, so that's essentially worthless unless you have a MASSIVE empire. It's quite good once you begin to have about 500 or so areas, and the more you have the better it gets, but there's no playing "tall" with pop growth modifiers.

    • @LordForwind
      @LordForwind  3 роки тому

      Well you can combine growth modifiers, I was getting .8 a month as judea yesterday building granaries and the growth innovations and it's possible not as fun but possible

    • @khatack
      @khatack 3 роки тому

      @@LordForwind granaries (and base growth) form the most of that growth and they come at the expense of actually utilizing your pops. You CAN utilize granaries easier as a large nation though, as you can build specialized provinces where there's one city with tons of granaries to get a good growth for the province and all other regions contain those migration buildings to funnel all those pops out of the province. Also build docks. But no, there's no benefit in "playing tall", you're just worse off than you would be if you expanded. The more you expand, the taller your capital grows.

    Don't discount the Iberic religion! I love using it, especially when deifying the pop conversion god! Combine that with a religious conversion law and you have a fantastic conversion rate! Plus, the slave output god, when deified, you can get a free provincial investment every 5 years! The Iberic religion is basically the weaker version of the Buddhist religion in terms of conversion speed, but still good.

    This prob isnt the right video to ask on but do you think you can explain how pops work in your army? like ive seen regions you just take over have 4 pops in lets say levis for example. i know that more integrated pops means more troops but is there like some equation or someway to tell how many troops you might get per pop or based on how many pops you have? as far as i know its just more pops more army but i wanna know the specifics.

    • @LordForwind
      @LordForwind  3 роки тому +1

      The number of troops you can raise is based off of the number of nobles and citizens integrated in the region. I dont know the exact number because every nation has modifiers that affect levy and legion sizes.
