"So many vows. They make you swear and swear... Defend the king, obey the king, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the king? What if the king massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do you're forsaking one vow or another." - Ser Jaime Lannister.
Well I think it's better to have old known NPCs aid the Legion then the Legion suddenly being able to get totally new people into high ranks, though I suspect those NPCs were at least partially mentally influenced by the legion and were not acting fully out of free will.
Heya NOBBEL!!! Can you resume your tides of lore series? I would love to spend 2-3 hours delving deep into the the rich lore of Azeroth with your noble guidance at least once more. Thank you for what you do and have done so passionately and vividly for so long. I am a very big fan and I always look forward to your excellent lore videos!!!
Oh very cool, they updated the daggers that Garona uses in the Vision within Yogg'saron's brain. I like when they go back and update things like that, good job Blizzard.
it could be that gul'dan set a pre-existing order on garona's mind to kill king llane (which he expected would happen) explaining why he didn't order her to kill doomhammer because it wasn't as predictable.
It hurts me that one of the famous legendary chain quest back in vanilla is now put to rest because the npc who was the main character is now a traitor.....ow my nostalgia
I freakin' hated acquiring this artifact, if only because of how weird it felt to have to sneak into SW. I'm a freakin' dwarf! Lemme in! I know Matthias Shaw on a first name basis!
Forgive me for asking, but, how many times has this sort of thing happen within the Alliance now? I'm starting to notice a serious pattern of insurrection here, with the Twilight's Hammer, Cult of the Damned and now this.
Don't get me wrong I like the history behind these weapons it's just That this was this was thrown in just to give garona something relevant to do. Cause cause nothing about these blades were foreshadowed and they looked like normal blades in the other games that just killed the king, nothing special. I could be wrong somewhere but oh well.
Didn't it state somewhere, that Gul'Dan was "awake" in the spirit world and could still manipulate his ties to the mortal realm? I think I remember something about that, but I'm not entirely sure.
So the Garona that helps us, is that alternate Garona or our Garona? She remarks about how she dislikes being in SW, as if to say she remembers the heartbreak of killing Llane, but that would only be valid if she was our Garona.
I'm a bit confused about Med'an. Does he exist? I've heard he is non-canon now. Is it that he does indeed exists as the son of garona and medivh but that's all to it and no powers and no imba guardian of the Mary Sues?
What Afrasiabi said was that Med'an being Guardian was non-canon, he didn't say Med'an himself was non-canon. In fact when asked later on twitter he said most of the comic still happened: twitter.com/Alex_Afrasiabi/status/795303852924731392
All of the cultists in Darkshire were actual vendor Npcs, quest givers or town guards as were the dead npcs that they slaughtered. The Herald of the Legion guy was also a named Stormwind guard since vanilla.
so when playing the story as an alliance player this story make no dam sense and makes me want to slap the dev that came up with it, so as an alliance player we have while leveling worked for and with the SI:7 more than once, have been entrusted with escorting the then prince on an investigation we have helped him become the man he is today then there is all the work we have done for Stormwind herself, the player has helped in one form or another take down some of the biggest dangers to the alliance and to azeroth as a whole (and that's not counting any of the headcanon stuff) but we are treated like scum in this mission and there isn't even a reason behind it like mind control or magic. so ye this mission ticked me off no end as do all stories that forget what the players have done or meant to have done over the years.
Well, we do have to prove ourselves 2 (3 for warriors) times to odyn, and we have to prove we can lead out classes, even though we are basically called their leaders and we wield artifacts, so I cant really say this is out of the ordinary
You are a rogue. Your name says it all. If you renamed your class to the trusted maybe you would get some sympathy. Rogues can not be trusted no matter what they do.
silverspear21 that's kind of a cheap cop out.. yeah the class is a rogue, but a rogue who saved the world countless times.. it's not that black and white like oh he's a rogue fuck him. we have death knights for god's sake who weren't trusted either but are still considered champions
How do you know they saved the world countless times? They work in the shadows and their works are unseen. It is that black and white. That would be like Gul'dan crying about Kil'jaeden for deceiving him when his name is literally "The Deceiver". DK's openly opposed their master/creater and swore allegiance to either faction. As far as I can tell rogues are unknown and work sort of like black ops type.
In Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, you get a mission from Blackhand to go kill Garona to teach her a lesson, because she has run off with a bunch of Ogres. So, and Ogrim Doomhammer, you wander into the Deadmines, kill her, and take her head back to her father
from what I saw it looks like our garona so that begs the question what is warlords garona doing? you would think she would want to kill gul'dan after what he did to her. did she say something like "that bastard mind controlled me my entire life I want him dead. what's that? he went to my garrison commander's home world? ya know what it's too much trouble to go ask a mage for a portal so I'll let him get away. this time
no one from draenor came over to help, even though Yrel said they would if we asked (so I assume we didn't ask). If they did, it would have made the doomhammer and kingslayer quests make more sense since our timeline's versions weren't empowered by the draenor elements nor infused with demonic powers, respectively.. In saying that, legion is full of situation where we should get help but we don't so theres that too lol
-We cannot bring back the innocent... well unless they click Release Spirit. How do these dumb noobs expect to be brough back without doing anything. I bet they started playing in WoD.
What Afrasiabi said was that Med'an being Guardian was non-canon, he didn't say Med'an himself was non-canon. In fact when asked later on twitter he said most of the comic still happened: twitter.com/Alex_Afrasiabi/status/795303852924731392
Wtf the player saved the world more then once in the Alliances name but as soon as the leader of a shady rogue group place bountys on us the whole world turns against us. Logic
This seems very strange for the people of stormwind to suddenly not trust alliance players. Especially if said alliance players had saved Stormwind it self many many many times. Blizzard and their story telling makes me scratch my head sometimes.
So paladins get the f*cking ashbringer, and rogues get a pair of random blades, that just so happend to kill a single king?? :D She could've killed him with a f*cking butter knife if she wanted >.
The in-game Llane got killed by legendary weapon but poor movie Llane got killed with a letter opener.....
Those last line... They were actually beautiful. Amazing job on this one
A "Artifact lore" always pay it's debts.
so many old npc's are betraying us
Well I think it's better to have old known NPCs aid the Legion then the Legion suddenly being able to get totally new people into high ranks, though I suspect those NPCs were at least partially mentally influenced by the legion and were not acting fully out of free will.
+Daz N/A its the mass effect 3 ending all over again
More like it's the Cataclysm all over again. They've done stuff like this before.
Enthused Norseman I was talking about the
"maybe we are really being controlled by the old gods and this is all an illusion"
Since my first character ever was alliance and darkshire is my favorite leveling area, i really took ebonlocks betrayal personally xD
Dude so did I lmao
I will never get tired of that intro XD
woah, that original Elwyyn Forest music. i remember the first time hearing. that's teh exact moment i fell in love with wow.
Heya NOBBEL!!! Can you resume your tides of lore series? I would love to spend 2-3 hours delving deep into the the rich lore of Azeroth with your noble guidance at least once more. Thank you for what you do and have done so passionately and vividly for so long. I am a very big fan and I always look forward to your excellent lore videos!!!
took some time to hit the bell of my favorite youtubers those days, so... YOU HAVE BEEN "BELLED"! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK! PLS, KEEP IT UP!
I love the Deep Lore artifact weapons :3
Oh very cool, they updated the daggers that Garona uses in the Vision within Yogg'saron's brain. I like when they go back and update things like that, good job Blizzard.
4:30 why does garona have a stealth camp fire? is the camp fire a rogue too? if so can i have one to destroy my enemies with?
Not only a campfire, a bench too!
"that saves you from prison atleast" *draws daggers* i love you nobbel lol
I can't be the only one that wonders how Tess Greymane became a member of the Uncrowned?
Daz N/A Genn Greymane is a spy master???
No, Shaw is spymaster (head of the SI:7). But I guess maybe she served as some kind of intelligence officer for the Gilneans? My best bet.
Enthused Norseman i don't think Genn would let his daughter do something like that
GoldDustx so maybe she is doing that because she want to help and Greymane is not letting her do things so she works in ~~shadow~~
Tess Greymane is first and foremost the heir to the throne of Gilneas, but it's kinda cool she has something else to do in Legion as a kickass spy.
"LOL I'm suddenly evil!"
- Blizzard's characterization of most of these people.
Waited for it for soooooo long :>
Classic Nobbel, Saying a good quote while a gnome dancing in the background. xD
Hey Nobbel I loved the stream today. I subbed with Twitch Prime! really loving these lore videos!
it could be that gul'dan set a pre-existing order on garona's mind to kill king llane (which he expected would happen) explaining why he didn't order her to kill doomhammer because it wasn't as predictable.
12:50 do you think there might've been some Old Gods influence since we see the scene bewteen Garona and Wrynn in the Yog-Saron encounter?
good vid' man!
your the best youtubers Nobbel!!!!
If you go to Kadgar with the daggers he speaks to you about how the daggers bring back memories.
Great story! Kind of sad that the movie took a different approach to it all, but both versions are great IMO!
OMFG when are you going to do Lore about SP artifact,I've waited for soooooo long for it comeon
Rogues, some of the best lore, that's why I play a rogue. Long live all Rogues :)
"I'd be recognized in a heart beat" But I thought you were a rogue?
Another great video nobbel, courtesy of Durtoan2nd :)
It hurts me that one of the famous legendary chain quest back in vanilla is now put to rest because the npc who was the main character is now a traitor.....ow my nostalgia
when i looked at the title the first thing that came into my head was Jaime Lannister
Glad I wasn't the only one
05:21 "something big" *Wink* "hmm... yes"
Do they ever explain why Tess Greymane is in the Uncrowned?
Hey nobbel what happened to your GoT Telltale gameplay i cant seem to find it
non rogue: can kill an enemy in about 9-10 seconds a rogue: can kill a target with one button
the Kingslayers... close enough Jamie, close enough.
I freakin' hated acquiring this artifact, if only because of how weird it felt to have to sneak into SW.
I'm a freakin' dwarf! Lemme in! I know Matthias Shaw on a first name basis!
you will understand after the class hall quest
Is that the same Ebonlocke family as the dude in the warlock follower questline
Is Althea related to Kanrethad Ebonlocke in some way?
Probably, there's a lot of Eblonlockes in Duskwood actually. There's Althea, her father the mayor, and the ghost of a man in Karazhan.
Ah ok, I just remember that last name because that bastard gave me a lot of hell in MOP when I was trying to get my Green Fire on my Warlock lol.
What about the ending with Vanessa Vancleef. How does she fit in with the rogue class hall?
So rouge orderhall campaign is coming, right, right?
Forgive me for asking, but, how many times has this sort of thing happen within the Alliance now? I'm starting to notice a serious pattern of insurrection here, with the Twilight's Hammer, Cult of the Damned and now this.
Why are my KingSlayers Blue and not red? i got them fully blue, why???
Don't get me wrong I like the history behind these weapons it's just That this was this was thrown in just to give garona something relevant to do. Cause cause nothing about these blades were foreshadowed and they looked like normal blades in the other games that just killed the king, nothing special. I could be wrong somewhere but oh well.
Weren't the daggers she used to kill Llane the ones from yogg'sarron though?
is it Stormwind too if you do this on the Horde side?
Assassin creed reference in WOW nice work Blizzard may the understanding father guide us
Didn't it state somewhere, that Gul'Dan was "awake" in the spirit world and could still manipulate his ties to the mortal realm? I think I remember something about that, but I'm not entirely sure.
So the Garona that helps us, is that alternate Garona or our Garona? She remarks about how she dislikes being in SW, as if to say she remembers the heartbreak of killing Llane, but that would only be valid if she was our Garona.
hmm i wonder what class order hall is going next.
I KNEW IT!
I'm a bit confused about Med'an. Does he exist? I've heard he is non-canon now. Is it that he does indeed exists as the son of garona and medivh but that's all to it and no powers and no imba guardian of the Mary Sues?

Tess Greymane sounds like Tracer but more tame. She didn't sound like that in the starting zone.
no shes just british
worgens brexit
she kinda dose sound like Tracer
"The burning legion has invaded Azeroth again"
oh man that stealth action bar.......we use the same key for our trinkets tho lol :D
Harold Crum he doesnt even use garrote from stealth :(
oh this is a rogue one did you get it?! did you get it?!
the lannisters send their regards
Were these dead NPC's actual like people you could talk to and get quests and shop from? its always sad when old well used NPC's just get offed.
All of the cultists in Darkshire were actual vendor Npcs, quest givers or town guards as were the dead npcs that they slaughtered. The Herald of the Legion guy was also a named Stormwind guard since vanilla.
Man..... I miss the big numbers, 73,000 base hit even WITHOUT the artifact 😔
i wonder if garona kneels for regular height races lol
Awwww who got the king slayer? You are yes you are
You can see garona with the kingslayers in ulduar
Liking and commenting as per my promise. Sure wish I'd have seen this video before heading off to Raven Hill on my low level alt >_
Oh wait, I watched you stream this. My bad.
I want to know what The Kingslayers hidden ability is :(
when did her name change from Garona Hellscream to Halforcen????
She was never named Hellscream.
this is similar to the Berenstain Bears conspiracy. proof of parallel universes. i absolutely swear she used to be called Garona Hellscream.
No, she hasn't.
Yes, she has.
She was never called Hellscream

Not to forget that until Cata (Or was it MoP?) all Alliance players could learn their abilities from Mathias as he was the Rogue trainer in Stormwind.
You are a rogue. Your name says it all. If you renamed your class to the trusted maybe you would get some sympathy. Rogues can not be trusted no matter what they do.

the quest at 6:00 was so hard I died 7 times on it

That was not garona.
Ah, you are right. My mistake. Memory playing tricks on me
Gorbz it wasn't even close to Halloween
I'm waiting on the lore behind the staff of sargeras. C:
It may take him a while he is a pala man.
Yeah but I do enjoy his videos so it will be worth the wait.
Yeah me too. It's always worth the wait for nobbels videos though.
Hello Nobbel!
from what I saw it looks like our garona so that begs the question what is warlords garona doing? you would think she would want to kill gul'dan after what he did to her.

0:28 Holy shit, her voice is so British it hurts.
so i get to attack stormwind as alliance? amazing
-We cannot bring back the innocent... well unless they click Release Spirit. How do these dumb noobs expect to be brough back without doing anything. I bet they started playing in WoD.
Love the lore videos but why so many gnome toons??
A rogue gnome What a shame for a real rogue to endure..
I'm glad Ldimore didn't turn Traitor I would have been pissed especially after I busted my ass killing her father In that long Pre cata questline
do the hunter
you lost 10000 cool points for playing as a gnome
Ser jamie?
Nobbel you know that the whole Med'an story is not canon, right?
as a whole ? no. but some parts of it .Like that a dreadlord is inside if meryl
What Afrasiabi said was that Med'an being Guardian was non-canon, he didn't say Med'an himself was non-canon. In fact when asked later on twitter he said most of the comic still happened:
twitter.com/Alex_Afrasiabi/status/795303852924731392
Righteous Elf Wasnt it just a curse from a Dreadlord? because when we kick a certai someone butt and put him into the stone Meryl feel better
Martin Trudel No, he really had Dreadlord inside.
I was pretty sure that dreadlord kept people away and chained just to take their places
It's just me or this quest alliance side doesn't make sense?
15:00 1%life lol pro
XD ur always almost dead in these buy some healing pots for ur videos XD
zzazs pearson ecksdeeee
Wtf the player saved the world more then once in the Alliances name but as soon as the leader of a shady rogue group place bountys on us the whole world turns against us. Logic
Im pretty sure Jorah should be pronounced like in Game of Thrones.
nice backpedalling
This seems very strange for the people of stormwind to suddenly not trust alliance players. Especially if said alliance players had saved Stormwind it self many many many times.
Blizzard and their story telling makes me scratch my head sometimes.
finish the class hall quest. you will understand
Bruh you are alliance and with a horde?
sell some people seems to dont understand how to be a Rogue.... tjese blades are not honorable simply because it is the Rogue true nature
I'm here for how to get into Stormwind Keep and you skip this part .........
So paladins get the f*cking ashbringer, and rogues get a pair of random blades, that just so happend to kill a single king?? :D She could've killed him with a f*cking butter knife if she wanted >.
k01dsv I'm a sucker for that whole assasin thing so I can't relate.
The funny thing is that every single ashbringer wielder is dead, except for the player
true
Comment
So I guess Darkshire is fucked then still?
Husk allways and forever 11 months later

are you really playing a female gnome rogue...
shorter story : an uknkown shitty weapon made for rogues to just have somethig "powerful"
So gay you only play with female chars xD
