I hate what Blizzard has done with Rexxar. That is to say, nothing. It's like they've completely forgotten that he exists, he's just sitting there in Thunderlord, when he could have easily come to Draenor with us, or even Pandaria. He has seemingly no part in the Horde story anymore, and I believe the lack of his presence during the revolution is a terrible thing, because it potentially hurts his character. (Garrosh was quite possibly one of the greatest threats to the horde, because he was so deep inside it. Rexxar should have been there to help, but he wasn't, which could make some players say "he talks a big talk, but when we needed him against Garrosh, he just sat there with his finger up his nose in Thunderlord") Seriously, Blizz. What the heck is up with you? Just abandoning such a wonderful addition to the WoW repertoire in the back-end of Outland, in a place that some people don't even go to (I rarely went to Blade's Edge, I used to always go to the other zone that was the same level, forget which one it was.) I seriously hope you guys don't just forget about him and he becomes a major part of the story again, because if he doesn't, you guys are abandoning a valuable asset and a character with wonderful potential in the story of WoW.

The Orc campaign's hero of Frozen Throne was Rexxar and it was pretty much an rpg within a strategy game. You play as Rexxar running around recruiting Trolls and Ogres. Everybody loves Rexx.
Honestly he is the best choice since he holds the spirit and honor that was thralls horde as new warchief and a True Champion and leader that only Saurfang could match in merit and skill and he can reconnect trust between the tauren and nights elves with there shared love of the land and wilds and with the help of the pandaren bridge the peace the 2 factions need to face the legion at full strength with task to bring more ogre tribes to the hordes call making them a new playable race and maybe the humans befriend the Vrykul or Furbogs from northern as new allies to fight the legion
Rexxar was also named 'Champion of the Horde' which was only ever given to Hamuul Runetotem who's like the second leader of the Tauren as well as the other faction leaders (Cairne, Sylvannas, Vol'Jin...etc) so in my mind he's definitely qualified for the role. Plus he puts pacifism first which is pretty close to Thrall's own principles
even though we love him and he is worthy.. he will never accept it.. he will fight to the death for the horde or the wild if necessary.. but he will never accept being the warchief.. He's kind of a hermit.

Hopefully not, although I am horde player I always admired Jaina for not being as full of shit as other alliance people, but rather mindful and diplomatic. Hope her hatred stops at some point and she is involved in finding some sort of peacful solution (after some epic battles ofcourse ^^)

I love Rexxar. Desolace in the old days was the only place horde could use the roads. Why cause Allys would get killed by Rexxar if they stayed on the road to long. He has saved my ass so many times.
Rexxar is similar to Varok Saurfang to me, really cool characters despite being relatively trivial in lore. Both need more done with them, and I agree Blizzard missed a huge opportunity with not putting Rexxar in the end of Mists, because based on his character there would be no way he could refuse helping Thrall and the Horde (not Garrosh's) in the siege of orgrimmar. Even if Rexxar was only in one boss battle it would have been enough for me, even if it was just a tiny part like Tyrande it would have been great.
This is one of the best put together and best explained lore stories i've ever seen. This is absolutely amazing, I see this has been here for a long while. I will 100% subscribe and I saw again this is amazing work!!

Wow, I never knew that the Warcraft lore was so epic. I knew that there WAS a lot of lore involved, but nothing about it any deeper than obvious surface lore in WoW. I played WoW purely for the game mechanics and stuff to do, but never ever to imagine myself a part of a story and exploring a story. If you take into account the lore of WoW and actively try to find out what is going on then I do not doubt that the experience becomes greater by a multitude.

I'm a Horde player but sometimes i play in the alliance because my wife plays with a female gnome warlock, classical, with ponytails. Back in the original wow, when she reached lvl 40, she started doing some quests in Desolace, at the time we had mounts only at lvl 40 but she still had not (warlocks needed to do some quests in ratchet to have the first mount) and so she walked on feet to discover the region, I was reading a book but when I looked at the monitor I told him: "beware, Rexxar usually walks around ..." and she replied: "Rexxar? that hero with a bear that we play in warcraft III?" suddenly she sees a huge figure at distance, actually, two huge figures. she clicks on it and reads: "Rexxar (skull lvl) - Champion of The Horde" - immediately, she turns back and starts running the crap out of there!
Rexxar is a Mok'Nathal and Garrosh is a normal Mag'har orc yet both look very similar. Huge size and brown skin. Garrosh may not know but his father, Grom, might have been a frequent visitor of the Ogre Red Light District on Draenor. :P
Imperial Ace Yeah i just got a little questline with him yesterday. I dont know if it was because of the gladiator sanctum, since the one who gave me the quest was Rakhan. But still it was very cool doing a mission with him and knowing him better. It seems there are going to be more quests with him, since he tells you at the end "We will meet again" or something like that.
I talked about this in my dark below speculation video! Chris Metzen at the MoP launch party said that we're going to need them for what's coming next so if they didn't change their plans, we will see them in the next expansion! I hope for space adventures.
With all the bullshit and lore butchering Blizzard is doing, I would love that they do 1 cool thing (Im not saying do something accurate) and in a future put him in the seat of warchief. I mean, breaking him down. He is wise like Thrall, and he is strong like Gromm/Garrosh, its like the perfect balance and a figure that the orcs would surely learn to respect quickly and so the rest of the horde... maybe will have tensions with the forsaken for obv reasons but yeh...

Tectinally Beast Master is a Hunter spec, and Mok"nathals would be awesome they have similar skin to Ogres, and are taller and larger than other Orcs! Also Rexxar is comfirmed to be in WoD I think he'll be in Spires of Arak? Or Goreground. It's undecided on who it is. (Past or Present)
+Velkhan i always laugh about these comments....When you write the story you ARE the lore. Blizzard cannot and has not broken the lore at all not even with the pandaren. Every time I read these posts there are books and gameplay that connects everything. If you think the lore is ruined then you just don't know the lore.

It seems like Chen Stormstout is A Traveler, searching for brews and other ingredients then he occasionally come back to pandaria to Bring what he discovered. I can say this because of the Trailer of MOP.

To my understanding, Chen grew up on the wandering isle, and was left behind on its last departure from kalimdor. Why do i think so? because Pandaren are not generally an adventurous people, the ones with that inclination gravitate towards the wandering isle. And the stories they tell there is that they would make landfall and explore the distant lands on occasion.
Fun fact: The almost RPG-ish gameplay of Rexxar's campaign was basically a precursor to how WoW would work a few years later. Blizzard was already heavily invested in WoW's development and many features of WC3 and WoW influenced the other.

teil show You probably found this out by now, but "Lok'tar Ogar" literally means, "Victory Or Death" in Orcish. I can only assume they restate what they said out of their orcish tongue so others knew what they were saying.

I've lost count how many times I've played that bonus campaign in WC Frozen Throne. He was a freaking beast (pun intended). It always give me chills how he rallied the orcs, trolls and ogres together against Proudmoore.
Hes not really ashamed of his race/people its just that he dosent trust most people, and whant nothing to do with war since he thinks it only hurts the land. As he said himself, hes a wanderer. A man of the wild.
Blizzard has screwed over so many characters by now, I can't be properly enraged about them underutilizing such a fundamental character to the Horde... knowing he'd eventually be butchered as well. I mean, this guy IS the co-founder of Durotar, one of the top commanders and warriors of the Horde. They even went back in time to shoehorn Grom and co to the story, but Rexxar never appears in a pivotal Horde occasion. It's a travesty.
So I played this ghys story right past the thunder lizards, always wondered how that all worked out. Thanks, Rexxar has my favorite design in all of Warcraft.
Rokhan has made a few minor appereances. During Wrath of the Lich King he hunts Frost Wyrms for the Horde, and during the events of the novel Stormrage Rokhan is among Azeroth's champions who remain awake during the Nightmare.

I think he could be the leader of orcish troops and even become warchief during cataclism, when Thrall was busy. But he belongs to wilds and it's unlikely that he will rule the horde. Sorry for my eng >

I'm a Horde player but sometimes i play in the alliance because my wife plays with a female gnome warlock, classical, with ponytails. Back in the original wow, when she reached lvl 40, she started doing some quests in Desolace, at the time we had mounts only at lvl 40 but she still had not (warlocks needed to do some quests in ratchet to have the first mount) and so she walked on feet to discover the region, I was reading a book but when I looked at the monitor I told him: "beware, Rexxar usually walks around ..." and she replied: "Rexxar? that hero with a bear that we play in warcraft III?" suddenly she sees a huge figure at distance, actually, two huge figures. she clicks on it and reads: "Rexxar (skull lvl) - Champion of The Horde" - immediately, she turns back and starts running the crap out of there!

Rexxar is a Mok'Nathal and Garrosh is a normal Mag'har orc yet both look very similar. Huge size and brown skin. Garrosh may not know but his father, Grom, might have been a frequent visitor of the Ogre Red Light District on Draenor. :P
No, the brown skin is something that all orcs who aren't tainted with demon blood have.

You get quests with Rexxar if you choose the Gladiator Pit instead of lumber mill at Beastwatch. That's what my friend told me anyway.
Imperial Ace Yeah i just got a little questline with him yesterday. I dont know if it was because of the gladiator sanctum, since the one who gave me the quest was Rakhan. But still it was very cool doing a mission with him and knowing him better. It seems there are going to be more quests with him, since he tells you at the end "We will meet again" or something like that.

With all the bullshit and lore butchering Blizzard is doing, I would love that they do 1 cool thing (Im not saying do something accurate) and in a future put him in the seat of warchief.
I mean, breaking him down. He is wise like Thrall, and he is strong like Gromm/Garrosh, its like the perfect balance and a figure that the orcs would surely learn to respect quickly and so the rest of the horde... maybe will have tensions with the forsaken for obv reasons but yeh...

Tectinally Beast Master is a Hunter spec, and Mok"nathals would be awesome they have similar skin to Ogres, and are taller and larger than other Orcs! Also Rexxar is comfirmed to be in WoD I think he'll be in Spires of Arak? Or Goreground. It's undecided on who it is. (Past or Present)

+Velkhan i always laugh about these comments....When you write the story you ARE the lore. Blizzard cannot and has not broken the lore at all not even with the pandaren. Every time I read these posts there are books and gameplay that connects everything. If you think the lore is ruined then you just don't know the lore.

To my understanding, Chen grew up on the wandering isle, and was left behind on its last departure from kalimdor. Why do i think so? because Pandaren are not generally an adventurous people, the ones with that inclination gravitate towards the wandering isle. And the stories they tell there is that they would make landfall and explore the distant lands on occasion.

Fun fact: The almost RPG-ish gameplay of Rexxar's campaign was basically a precursor to how WoW would work a few years later. Blizzard was already heavily invested in WoW's development and many features of WC3 and WoW influenced the other.

teil show You probably found this out by now, but "Lok'tar Ogar" literally means, "Victory Or Death" in Orcish. I can only assume they restate what they said out of their orcish tongue so others knew what they were saying.

I've lost count how many times I've played that bonus campaign in WC Frozen Throne. He was a freaking beast (pun intended). It always give me chills how he rallied the orcs, trolls and ogres together against Proudmoore.
Didn't like end of it. After all his accomplishments, in the end he says: " Ok, now I will be homeless again".
Hes not really ashamed of his race/people its just that he dosent trust most people, and whant nothing to do with war since he thinks it only hurts the land. As he said himself, hes a wanderer. A man of the wild.
Blizzard has screwed over so many characters by now, I can't be properly enraged about them underutilizing such a fundamental character to the Horde... knowing he'd eventually be butchered as well. I mean, this guy IS the co-founder of Durotar, one of the top commanders and warriors of the Horde. They even went back in time to shoehorn Grom and co to the story, but Rexxar never appears in a pivotal Horde occasion. It's a travesty.
So basically, Rexxar is Warcraft's Batman...:)

Rokhan has made a few minor appereances. During Wrath of the Lich King he hunts Frost Wyrms for the Horde, and during the events of the novel Stormrage Rokhan is among Azeroth's champions who remain awake during the Nightmare.
