Today's word of the day: *shatter* for some reason XD
The Black Temple has always sort of fascinated me because of how some or maybe even most of it seemingly sticks out into the nether and I always wanted to see those parts of it when I was playing during BC. To see what it looks like in WoD was a real treat for me because of that.
Very good point! :)
I really miss BC, is had a great feel of being in space on an exotic alien world that you don't always see in typical fantasy.
Was a really cool time for sure. I remember exploring around hellfire listening to darkside of the moon album as a teen. Awesome vibe.
I was too busy during tbc classic to relive my teenage years. I wish I could replay it.
Agreed! It was definitely something special that showed how Warcraft stood out from the pack. :)
I wish there were more like these. Morrowind and Dunmer also give off an alien world contrasting.
The insta-death bottomless pits of Outland still scare me to this day. I can't quest anywhere near the edge. Thanks for flying over all of it so I don't have to!
They are pretty spooky! You are welcome! :D
A great follow up to this series would be exploring individual zones in depth and sharing cool points of interest
Definitely! :)
You should definitely do the retail continents after Northrend. Like revisiting Kalimdor and EK for the changes after the Cataclysm. And also the retail continents like Pandaria, Draenor etc.! Great video!
he doesnt play retail it would seem, pity as i would love to see him swim around the rest of Azeroth.
Definitely some great stuff in Northrend, like the giant sea serpent 'skeleton' that is visible on the map
I do not play retail WoW but I bet there are lots of cool changes and details in the newer expansions! ;) ...gotta leave *some* of the exploring up to you all I suppose! XD
Oshu'gun is a crashed naaru spaceship, in case anyone didn't know! Very cool spot
And all the portals and dark portal replicas - those are left over from the old horde when they tried to open more portals to invade through, which ripped Daenor (Outland) apart
Thank you for sharing that! Good info :)
Wow i never expected the Outland version of the series would have so many cool spots. Thx a lot for the video keep it up!
Thank you! Will do :D
Another great video, thank you :) Just wanted to mention there's a little hidden easter egg in Hellfire Peninsula, "Jar of Ashes", though there are plenty of videos talking about it already. It's unknown why it was left there and the majority of people seem to believe it was added and left by a dev frustrated with his superiors at Blizzard.
Oh yeah!! I totally forgot that existed but I know it is there... I will have to include that in a "leftovers" video sometime! :)
The Blades Edge Mountains have an impaled dragon in one part of them though. :) I think it is near the entrance to Dire Maul, not sure though.
And this teaches us,kids, that drinking and drivi...sorry,i mean drinking and flying is not a good compination. :)
Haha, very true! Yes, near Gruul's Lair there is a place with a bunch of them! :D
Thanks so much for doing the swim Jedi, u da goat ❤
Thank you very much! :) I appreciate it.
Fantastic! Man did I ever enjoy this!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
Been playing and consuming content about WoW for over a decade, and on rare ocasions found videos that can be as immersive as yours. Ty for the uploads :)
That means a lot... thank you very much! :D
Thank you for this tour! It's gonna be a while before my little Blood Elf rogue sees Outland.
You are welcome! Outland as a continent is so unique :)
7:55 ah yes! This is what I was looking for.
"I've been looking forward to this!" - Count Dooku XD
7:45 "It really would'nt be an Azeroth Deep Dive video without at least one shipwreck." You nailed it.
Haha, thank you! :)
10:03 That NPC Melgromm Highmountain is probably a reference to the Sunwell comic, where a tauren named Trag Highmountain is a major character. That tribe isn't related to the Highmountain tauren on the Broken Isles, the comic came way before Legion.
Thank you for pointing that out! I was wondering what that guy was all about! XD
Great video once again Jedi, wanted to let you know that the bird statue at 3:53 is part of the Druid swift flying quest chain. A long and quite challenging quest chain that sends you around Outland. You have to summon different bird spirits and fight them, each one symbolized a different animal form and is challenging in its own way.
Oh, very good to know! :D Thanks for pointing that out!
Amazing video again. Good job
You are very welcome! :)
5:25 used to assume that this portal was one of those that you disable in one of the missions in the TFT Blood Elf campaign. One of the portals is in a slightly swampy looking area, which, admittedly, is kind of a reach since it obviously looks nothing like Zangarmarsh. In my headcanon, that particular mission where you shut down the portals, you go to all the starter TBC zones since each part of the map looks just a tiny bit like them.
I remember thinking that they may lean in this direction with Reforged, but the less said about that waste of hard drive space, the better
What's weird is that you only find 3 of those portals. As the Dark portal was not one of them. Since it was inert thanks to Khadgar at the end of WC2:BtDP until Kazzak opened it in the TBC pre-patch. So what happened to the fourth one?
Good point! I think you are correct. Thank you for pointing that out! :)
Great question! I am thinking about that... we have Twilight Ridge (Nagrand), Portal Clearing (Zangarmarsh), Death's Door (Blade's Edge Mountains)... and where else? XD
I love all these videos. Please keep it up!
Thank you! Will do :)
Nothing brings such peace into my soul more than Jediwarlock. 🥺
Aw, thank you! :)
Eeey, my favorite Warlock uploaded again! Time to "swim" with the boys!
Woohoo! Let's go! :D
I'm surprised Outland looks so well designed, aesthetic wise. I fully expected to react like "guh, that hasn't aged well" but the jump between Vanilla and BC is pretty big. I think the design of Outland is very creative.
I agree! I like how they decided to branch out from the WC3 design of Outland and actually design unique biomes instead of just a giant Hellfire continent XD
most of vanilla wow wouldve been textured and modelled between 2001 and 2003 (with a LOT being in 2001). outland, on the other hand, was probably 2005-06
so think halo 1 vs gears of war 1
As someone who rushed through Outland, i saw many things i didn't know were there. Thank you for sharing this Information :D
You are very welcome! :)
Congrats on 11k my dude!
Thanks Cody! :)
One of my fave weird things in Outland are the Sand Gnomes, I remember it made me so frustrated lorewise as a kid. How are there Gnomes in Draenor? It reminded me of that you asked me what we used to theorycraft about back in the day. So I recalled some of the questions:
- Sand Gnomes, what the hell are they? (I mean, they're kind of an easter egg joke, but presuming they're more than that for the purposes of theorizing)
- The other continents of Draenor, if any survived as different chunks of Outland.
- Something I was convinced of back in the day was that the Goblins were related to the Trolls, because they look quite a lot like them. We knew Trolls descended from Dark Trolls (kinda retconned to be Zandalari, I guess?), so my assumption was that the Gobbos also shot off from that. In Legion we found the Drogbar of Highmountain, and I thought that they were the "perfect missing link" between Goblins and Trolls, kinda like a more primitive forerunner of both, or a different offshoot of a common ancestor. But then I believe Blizzard made up their mind that the Goblins were also descended from some kind of Titan construct like the Gnomes and Dwarves. Hated that, goblins just don't aesthetically fit into that group, imho.
- Remember all those fan-created expansions? I loved the ones exploring a hypothetical "South Seas" expansion, with Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Broken Isles, Undermine, Nazjatar, etc. Now those things have kinda been done, albeit very differently from how we imagined back in the day. It would have been cool to get your own boat to free-roam a giant ocean with little POIs though.
- Something I've always kinda thought was fun, but frustrating, was to think about how to update old expansion worldspaces to reflect the current state. Like, what would Outland or Pandaria or Quel'Thalas look like during Dragonflight? They obviously did this for everywhere during Cataclysm, but that was more because they needed to revamp the entire game to implement new mechanics. They've also updated a few zones to follow the storyline, like Arathi Highlands and Darkshore. I do think it would make an interesting video to just try to speculate how things are going in overlooked regions though. How's Duskwood doing? How are the Mag'har orcs in Nagrand nowadays? Any update from Undermine? Any news on resettling Gilneas? What's up the Azuremyst Isles now that the Exodar is operational? Is it hovering like Dalaran? That would be kinda cool. It doesn't have to introduce new villains, honestly, sometimes it would just be cool to come to the conclusion that "Yeah, Westfall is actuall fine now. We fixed it." Neat. (or whatever.)
- Oh, and it's been implied that the world map in Azeroth only covers one half, or possibly only one quarter. Is Pandaria close to the south pole, or just the equator? Are there any more continents "behind" Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor? Who knows!
Thank you for the thoughts, Norseman! :D You just made me add a lot of stuff to my theory notebook XD
- Sand Gnomes: seem mostly like a joke, but who knows?
- Other Outland Chunks: Definitely a possibility! I don't want to give away too much from my future Classic+ theory series, but I think adding some more stuff here would be a great way to revitalize it even after BC!
- Goblin/Trolls: PLEASE Blizzard retcon this to be true! Makes much more sense for Goblins to be stunted Trolls than just another "curse of flesh" Titan construct.
- Fan-Created Expansions: Agreed! Boat mounts would be amazing!
- Old-world Updates: Cataclysm tried to that... but ruined all the great parts of the old world in the process! :o Definitely could be better ways of going about that in a Classic+ map update.
- Other Azeroth Continents: You never know! ;) ...I know there was once a theory that Ny'Alotha and N'Zoth were in a far continent, but in Retail we know that is no longer the case.
@@Jediwarlock oh man, Ny'alotha, such a wasted place.
Thanks for another fun trip
You are most welcome! :)
Fun fact about the Nova shrine, a month after BC's release, they added a female Blood Elf dressed as close as could be done to Nova's suit (at the time of BC anyway) and had her stealthily walk next to the shrine and kneel before it, paying her own respects to it. The Blood Elf was also named 'Nova Terra', same as Nova's name in Starcraft. So Nova's being a Ghost in both senses of the context for this little memorial.
Certain unspecified conditions made her appear, though I'm personally fairly certain it was just a timer nobody tried particularly hard to keep track of.
For some reason they removed her two to three months later. I guess someone at Blizz wanted to pay respects to what looked like a reasonably promising game for the Starcraft universe, but didn't want to keep having attention drawn to it for too long after cancellation so everyone can move on.
Great detail! I will have to go back and check that out... thank you for pointing that out! :)
Nice! Im looking forward to Northrend!
Thanks! I am as well!! :D
Blade's Edge Mountains are pretty interesting. I don't know who came up with the idea of making the sky look "normal" and fiery-looking, and then, right in the middle, a circle where you can see outher space above you (or the void, or nether or whatever that is lol). It's like the game's telling you: "don't relax too much, remember you're still in an alien land"
Very cool detail! Thank you for sharing. :)
Loving this series!
I'm so glad to hear that! :)
The shrine for Nova is pretty cool.
Otherwise it´s a bit sad that there isnt more.
On the other hand, there is much cool stuff to see on the mainland.
I agree! If I was a dev I would hide tons of stuff out on floating islands, lol
Love these, keep 'em coming! Any chance of doing more recent expansions? (BfA, Shadowlands, etc.)
Thank you! Probably not since I do not play retail, but I'm sure there are cool secrets out there! ;)
Now we just need scary northrend
You know it! :D
Kinda sad that there are this little details around outlands. But I mean it makes sense. Thank you for the blue shrine explenation. Always wonderd what this is about.
You are welcome! Yes, not quite as many hidden details as in EK or Kalimdor :')
This is the second time I have found your video before it hit the 5 minute old mark
Love the videos btw
Haha you are early! Thank you :)
I've been years without playing WoW(since patch 4.something,just didn't digged Cata that much and Pandaria didn't catch my interest at first glance),but this nostalgic feeling is about to make me risk it for the bisquit.
Haha, WoW is one of those games you can never quite leave entirely... Classic in my opinion is doing a great job giving us an opportunity to live in the old world again! :D
Sad to think that, lorewise, Outland is still crumbling away.
Indeed! :o
There is a hidden skeleton with a message on one of the side cliff's. The skuttlebutt on it is that it was placed there years ago by a disgruntled employee.
I missed that! Gonna have to go back and find it now XD
you should do a tour of all the zone borders next. Just walk around at the borderlines!
That would be interesting! :D
many outland place build not for any quest but to give life into the zone , make you wonder what story behind it
Very true! There are some fun little areas to explore out near the cliffs! :)
Even after all this years, man i miss Outland. I cant wait for new dragonflight be aviable in old world. Imagine, looking at Helifre Penisula skybox and soaring on your dragon.
That would be awesome! :)
IDEA: you should compare tbc Outland to retail Dreanor in WoD timewalking
Thank you for the idea! I am not a retail WoW player, but I bet there are some very cool similarities to be found! ;)
You missed the stealthed character representing Nova in outland.
Oh, it seems I did! I'll have to go back and try to find her! :)
Sad to hear you're not going to touch retail. Pandaria has a lot of neat nooks and crannies, and it would be neat to compare WoD Draenor / Outland.
I bet! Those are both good ideas... I had to save *some* of the exploring up to you all! ;)
please check this out i'm not sure if i've seen it anywhere else, but when going between netherstorm and hellfire somewhere near the blades edge area all the way to the bottom of the twisting nether part there's this piece of model that looks like an archway wall from old hyjal-winterspring border, i don't know why it's there, with the tools i had i could only see a silhouette
Thank you very much for sharing this! I will check it out :)
1:37
Is Terokkar ecosystem in danger? The waterfall releases water into outer space. This means that water does not return to the ecosystem in the form of rains. Soon Terokkar will lose all water.
I agree! Ecosystems are on the verge of collapse :o
Nice video! In Netherstorm wasn't there a far removed island blocked by an invisible wall? I think there was some Legion buildings on it too
Thank you! Hmm, I will have to investigate that! Do you have any more details about that?
@@Jediwarlock It's been many years so I'm not certain but if I remember correctly there was an unreachable island far away in the void zone of Netherstorm and Hellfire ... Hopefully I don't confuse it with some other Legion island xD
Good suff!
Thank you, Outlander! :D
I never knew about the star craft reference.
Lots of people probably don't know about it, but I think it's one of the coolest Easter eggs on the list! :)
hmm never knew about the nova memorial.
northrend has a lot of stuff.
Yeah, that was something I had never seen before either!
I'm looking forward to exploring it! :D
Just a question just from the voice, are you the guy with the ff7 chanel 4 production smth? The guy that do ff7 strategies and stuf?
Haha, I am not, but I checked out that channel and we do sound similar! XD
TBC was the expansion that killed exploring, nothing fun to find thats "out of bounds"
Hmm, yes... not quite as many Quel'thalas ruins or hidden shipwrecks floating around! ;)
It's funny how we all imagine abandoned or destroyed villages to be restored on Azeroth but nobody thinks of Kirin'var 😆
Agreed! The sad thing is that it actually remained populated and intact after the destruction of Draenor which I don't think most players know... it was destroyed rather recently when Kael'thas invaded Netherstorm! :o
exploration wow content is what that community miss :)
I think so too! I'm glad I can offer this type of content to you all :)
Hi Jedi!
It's a shame there's so little cool stuff hidden in the nooks and crannies of the cliffs and islands. Sorrow Wing Point really seems to be only totally optional area fleshed out with NPCs. TBC delivered on its promises well, but there's always just a little more potential.
a lot of it was intended to be in the original release.
Agreed! Not as many super secret areas, but the scenes and backgrounds I thought were a lot of fun to fly through! :D
Unexpecting comment - I'm subscrabing because your speech is definite and slow * __ * Plus certainly I'm love WoW. Perfect for traning my English! =)
Thank you very much for subscribing! I am happy to have you join us! :)
Mounts swim in the air
You make a good point! Haha
how did i miss this one?!
Glad you found it! :D
You did it.... cheaply but you did it
As one of my subscribers put it... isn't flying just swimming in the air? XD
Does anyone else thinks this guy sounds like Hamsterwheel?
I have heard that from multiple people XD ... I guess WoW creators just have that vibe!
TIL exodar was part of TK 🤯
Such a cool detail! :D
really miss TBC blizzard should extend this land and more Armour updated
story and more
I agree! I'll definitely be including TBC in my Classic+ videos :D
We need an expac that focuses on the old gods in ulduar, silithus etc, reawakening and running rampant with the Hives, scourge, nerubians, get this shit back to warcraft
I like those ideas! :)
:)
:)
WAIT I SAID THAT HEARTED COMMENT AS A JOKE-
It is what it is now XD
Moar
Coming soon! ;)
RIP Starcraft, Blizz and the fans remember you, but RTS just aint popular anymore, hence why you are lost in limbo for now. sleep well Starcraft, maybe RTS will flourish again, like Beat em Ups and Fighting games had their resurgence.
What are u talking about starcraft is still very popular and so are some real time strategy games
@@TheWorgenGamer define popular, what RTS have you heard about recently that wasnt on a mobile phone? mobile trash dont count!
@@UltimateGamerCC crusader kings 3 is a pc, xbox, and playstation rts game that came out in 2020. It got popular after release and still has a following. Fudge Muppet a skyrim and elder scrolls youtuber did a video on it a few weeks ago actually and he also advertised a mod for it in the same video.
iron harvest. It came out in 2020 and is still popular with many groups. It is classified as a rts game. It's on steam and is a pc game.
Starcrat II is still popular and is actually get updates as well. Many still play it and videos are still being released on it to this day.
Edit to add: a new rts game called company of heros 3 will be released in November this year.
@@TheWorgenGamer well then i stand corrected, simultaneously though it's weird that Starcraft III aint happening in that case. didnt know SC2 was getting updates either tbf.
@@UltimateGamerCC I know right with the popularity with sc2 they really should make a new one. They have the resources for it. They would have a bunch of happy people including me. But knowing them they will try to charge an arm and a leg.
Hello to everyone... I have watched some of your videos... You doing well job, although I would advise you to sneak on Old Gods Deeds on Curving the Lands and the History of the Aerial and Zones - Not only the reference of Our ( Earth 🌍)Real world... I can tell you that Old Gods,Dragons,Titans and etc. have a finger in shaping the lands in Azerot - Quests too and NPCs.... In 1 of your videos - I think it was about a Rare Shaman Tauren - you didn't have an Information about NPC - what I can tell you is that NPC is from a Quest...
I am playing WOW since the begging - Blizz and Privet like servers ... I have read most of the Books I achieve to put hand on and I can tell that I know some stuff about the topic... Ofc I have watched many creators about the Lore of WOW...
I am playing games since 1996 so far... I have played most of the Popular games in the World History of Gaming - From Quake and Unreal Tournament to all the Serial of Need For Speed... Heroes...Aion,Blade and Soul,Lineage ... Mass Effect Trilogy+ Andromeda ... Guild Wars,Skyrim Online and Vanilla + Oblivion, Disciples,Half Life and CS and so and so.... I have a Sense about many things in gaming and Music World ( and Not Only ) and Blizzard is my Top 1 place for all times about gaming - ofc I have played all the Blizzard Games and still playing them - Diablo especially PALADIN ....🙂😏 Guess what is my Character in WOW 😅... ...
So... My point is - you can put a little more effort to Reach the Information about the topics you touch.. like it you gonna have more and more Followers - as you put some " Mystery Notes" in the videos...
A little Marketing advice too - Use the in Game Mysteries to work for you by Exploiting Human Curiosity.... ...
Thank you and Keep the good Work 👍🤞🙏
Thank you for all the input! I appreciate it :)
