Omg!! I move to the USA when I was 18yo and I been working, working and working in the USA. When I watch this videos Im2 ready to say goodbye to my job, sale my house and move back to my country...My son wish was born in USA say the stress level in the USA is to high, so he move to Nicaragua. He love it there and he say he don't wanted to comeback. He told me in USA people only work and work and people dye of heart attack and stroke cause of the stress. Maybe I should do the same....Great video!! Thx
KC is a fantastic individual who has done amazing things for the Casco community. He's a good guy with a good heart and a keen, fair sense of doing business.
This is a great video! So encouraging to know the personal story behind the scenes of reconstruction and preservation in Casco Viejo! Thank you Kent for sharing!
Our communities need more people like KC and his wife.
Revisiting "Old Panama": I was stationed at Fort Clayton from 1964 to 1966, and your piece on Panama Viejo was much appreciated. UA-cam seems to have many stories on Ex-Pats, regarding relocating to this country, but your story was special--well beyond the others. Your story on life in and around this part of Panama was educational, and brought back great memories of my time in the military. From Ancon Hill to the Canal itself, my life for two years was special. Thank you and keep up your awesome journey.
Most impressive boss back in NY. So supportive and thoughtful. Are you sure he's a lawyer.
The best part of this whole experience is to see kids given hopes and dreams again. KC Hardin and his wife are doing a fantastic work in Panama and they seem very happy in living their dream. People remember that you only live once. The best to KC and his wife.
I'm moving from FL, USA to Panama in 3yrs!! So excited!!
I saw the restoration that was going on and wondered who was behind it. Thanks for this, KC. Casco Viejo deserves it. Good job and salute! Oh, and to me Panama is the greatest place on earth. If you come to Pedasi look us up. Pedasi Vacation Rentals, Ocean Lofts.
I ran into KC by accident on my trip to PC last month. The hotel is awesome. I had seen this video before I got there. I happen to be at the hotel to meet a tour group. Met him and his beautiful wife and pitbull.
Great video!, I love my country, no matter where I go, I always go back . We are welcoming and appreciate people like KC who love our country and provide good ideas and projects.
Thanks KC for showing the positive and the beauty of my country. Excellent video! Gracias.
Yet another great Ex Pat video. Loved this city and the architecture! I hope it works out well for everyone in the city!
I love this channel. I live vicariously through the people interviewed. Very cool!
With all the negatives about US Its refreshing what you did! You went there and YOU ADDED value to Panama! That's the best gift you can give to a country.I am Armenian and many Armenians went to old country to rejuvenate and put some pulse in economy and we need more people like you.Got to say out of hundreds of videos on Panama yours is by far the best! Great Best regards!
Ohhh I love this video!! He seems humble and a guy with a great ❤ ok 6 years ago and the questions is..Are you guys still in PANAMA?? And yes casco viejo was nothing when I was growing up. Soo happy you change that area into such an amazing and beautiful place.
I just stumbled on this. I think that it great. What a good story!
I visited Panama in 2004-2005 and loved it. I actually found this because I missed it. This was a great show. Wish more reality TV was more REAL-like this. Awesome show and KC's a great example of a South Florida boy done good. FLA REPRESENT!
I am planning go to Panama this March. Then I found this! I felt I was so lucky.
I'm panamanian so I find this really interesting cause it teaches me more about my roots.I used to hate being Panamanian cause every Spanish person I met has been Colombian and Porto rican. So this video is great
Isabelle grace YOu should go to Panama to see more Panamanians.
You should never hate yourself. You should always accept who you are and embrace yourself.
I am absolutely impressed with the work that KC has done in Panama in the "Casco Viejo". I dreamed it and he did it. My aunts and uncles live near the Casco Viejo, and as a child I always wondered, Why no one sees the value of this area. It is so historical and beautifully located. I went to High School not too far from there at the Instituto Nacional and enjoyed walking by the ruins.I was there around the 1964 riots, we lost around 21 students from Panama. May God bless you and your family KC
I am moving out of the USA within 6 months too! I am looking at Bali but what KC is doing inspires me sooo much. Revitalization without over-development with a good heart. He is great! Thank you for this video. I am leaving the 6 figure income day in and day out stuff and going with what God has put within me. WAIT FOR ME! I AM COMiNG!
I stayed in his hostel "Mondo Taitu" in bocas del toro. It has writings on all the walls from travelers in the past which was really cool. The place isnt the nicest hostel in Bocas but its alright. The day I was there, the power went out in the hostel so I got really dehydrated because there was no running water and no fans. Good times in bocas, I wouldn't trade them for the world! Casco Viajo is an amazing place and I was there around 3-4 years ago and its very very beautiful, we didnt get a chance to hang out much there but I will on my next trip
Thank you for producing and making this available. Very well made! And in English!
It is really interesting to see how one can find a new "home" in an exotic locale. I am encouraged.
I want to move my family abroad and Panama is at the top of my list. The problem for me is I'm a school teacher not a corporate lawyer so Im caught in the never ending cycle of buying food, paying mortgage, bills and broke until next paycheck. These videos motivate me to find ways to make the move.
manlife4 - i emigrated back and forth in Europe. Did you make it yet?
What an inspiring video, I to read don’t stop the carnival. Thank you for sharing.
Very admirable work being done and I commend all efforts and wish the best of luck to all!
I have a home in Altos del Maria. On my last stay in the city I walked the enitre Balboa Pkw down to Casco! Just amazing what the turn around is like! I LOVE PANAMA!!!!!!!!
I'm from Panama and I'm excited sooooo excited!!!
Great video. I lived here when stationed at Howard AB in 1984-1987. I am retired now and I am motivated to return to retire here. Thank you.
What a beautiful story!! I want to spend time in Casco Viejo for sure. Thank you
Savannah looks like she was thinking to herself the whole time, "shoot, why does he have to be married, shoot why does he have to be married....."
My mother is from Panama and when my parents got divorced we moved to Panama from 72' to 75' and I loved, I lived in Casco Viejo on Calle 3rd and I was surrounded by places like Las Bovedas, El Teatro National, Parque Boliviar, Iglesia San Fransisco, it was an old neighborhood but it was so much fun ! I go visit my family two three times a year, I'd recommend go to Panama and Casco Viejo has been all remodeled and it's full of Restaurants, Clubs and some beautiful new Hotels.... Just about everyone speaks English and they use American currency, the people are so friendly and make you feel so welcomed... So I recommend to take a trip to Panama you won't regret it I promise !!!
Incredible story!! I'd love to do something like this when I get older!

Thank you KC, you are an inspiration, tell your lovely wife that when I move back, I will be down to help her out with the garden. Boy I need some sun.....
Love this story! It has inspired me to travel to Panama City and especially the old part of the city, Casa Viajo. I am going back in a few months and hope to make some contacts to realize my dreams.
+joe flowers "Casco Viejo" I think it is now called " Casco Antiguo.
Great story! Very informative and inspiring.
I hope this series continues with new episodes, very interesting and inspiring. However, a new hostess would help tremendously.
Really like the video, you are definitely living the dream. Please keep posting and if you have any ideas for working class people to come and start a business please post comments or make a video for those who would have to work to make it there. There is a lot of people who have skills that are not educated and would love to live abroad. Thanks again and have a blessed day !!!!!

I'am Glad for you KC and your wife, best of everything I hope I'll meet you sometime in the near future when I visit Panama city. I live in Florida, but I'm looking forward to move to panama. So long for now.
Lots of good things in Pma like no pesticides in Vegetables and fruits and great water, I miss that!!
Just returned from panama city. If you are going to drive a car. be prepared , the traffic is horrendous. take a cab. Infrastructure is lacking. A place of huge buildings and poor roads and signage. . can ruin your experience. I live in
florida. I thought costa rica , panama would be my place. After visiting both places. I came to the realization I live in Paradise. For me , , I feel so blessed to live in the US. It's not for me. It may be for others. Just take your time to experience the country. It may be a differnent experience for you! Stay in the Riu hotel. WONDERFULL EXPERIENCE!
I love the idea that he make Panama his home. If you put your mind to something it will sure work. I also moved 20 Years ago and now is Suriname my home. I also married here and here in Suriname i will like to be for the rest of my life.

Hey KC - hope its going well for you down there in Casco. I Have lived in Boquete, Panama for the past 8 years. I have run businesses here and been very involved in the local community (after 20 years in NYC) and originally from Australia. Its a great place if you are willing to be VERY flexible. Lots of opportunities too but you will WORK!
Not Paradise and not for everyone. If you come here, rent first and look around!
Buena suerte!

Nice video. Lucky guy.
You da man K.C.!
Another fantastic video about how unique Panama City is. Kudos to KC on the work he has done and is doing. Look forward to meeting him one of these trips down to to the area. We found so much to like about Panama that we are looking to spend a great deal of time there in the not too distant future. Take a look at our dream -> www.naos-island.com/
Respect
I love panama
What would the process be like for an low to middle class American moving there? Is it safe? Affordable? What are the requirements?
Good morning señor,is safer that the USA at least no one is going to your kids school or job and start shooting, i am from Mexico exactly MICHOACAN my husband is born here in the USA. I took him for vacation last December to michoacan and he felt in love , now we building a house on a ranch that we bought and we are going to move to Mexico en a couple of years, my husband service this country for 22 years Air Force with a PHD ,MBA,and he made a comment after we spent two weeks on michoacan.that he feel safer over there that here on the USA. I rather deal with carteles at least i know who i am dealing with , that be surprise by a knuckle head that just come and shoot me.
KC should just admit that being a corporate lawyer was killing his soul and that's why he bolted, but he's ever the diplomat.
i think she gonna give the special tomato to the guest!wierd greetings from sweden.
I urge everyone considering retiring in a foreign culture to go and spend at least 6 months RENTING in the area of your choice before just pulling up sticks and selling everything. I have lived in Boquete, Panama for the past 8 years and see many people come and go. Expat life is challenging and can be great but it is not for everyone.

The Boquete (Not for Tourists!) Handbook - An Insider's guide to Surviving Life in Boquete, Panama"
Dianne H Hello Dianne, are you still in Boquete? We have lived outside the US but back now and reading all I can about Panama.
I am still looking for my place on the world.
I'VE BEEN TO PANAMA, I LIKE IT...I'M NOT SURE I WOULD LIVE THERE PERMANENTLY THOUGH
So, before he mentioned his wife is Patricia Pinzon, I was thinking that him and Patricia would have made good work partners. Knowing that Patricia's job involves the Restoration of Casco Viejo, did not surprise a bit that she was his wife.
Whats the name of the song at 19:36?
Cool
Everyone in the comments section want to visit Panama including me
they never mention the mosquitos in these tropical countries..
welcome !!! well done...
