It is a wonderful time where you can easily watch young adults express their talent and have it viewed by so many people. Another joyous surprise was you chose one of my favorites since I was a child in the 60's. I'm so happy you chose to show your talent by going backwards in time and bringing it forward for all to enjoy. Continue with your gifts and making it interesting for this ole gal
Hmmm. If the Klingon's had K'Tinga's while the Federation still only had pre-refit ships, this just might have worked. Man! I wish I still had my old computer with Bridge Commander, personally modified so that all ships matched the best available information on canon ships (where applicable). I'd love war gaming this to see what might happen.
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely well done and very well executed in every detail provided, Very amazingly well written and acted out in every way shape and form indeed👌.
Great work Kenneth! I see you got some of my friends from STC to do voices. It always makes me happy when one fan film franchise helps another. I can't wait for part 2!
Thanks, Ed. It's hard to believe how long ago I started this project. Part 2 is taking a lot of work to finish, but this tells a whole story. Part 2 will just add to it. :) I'm looking forward to getting it out there and adding some of our other cast members as well. :)
HEY! just had time to sit down and watch this video, really really great! Lots of great animations, the phaser beams tracking back and forth! complex movements with the animations. Really good dude!!! and the actors and actresses were just superb!! I am really impressed. Looking forward to the next Episodes!
USS Saratoga was NCC-1887, and was of the same class as the Relient, not Constitution, where as the Enterprise is Constitution Class, not Starship Class. I like how this dealt the unseen parts of the Organia Episode.
That ship was movie Era and came after this one. This one is from the TOS Era, from the Starfleet Technical Manual. In fact, I picked it for that reason as a ship that could be destroyed.
@@Raymar3d I cant post a pic here but you have a great chance to show lighting effects on the KD7, Perhaps the opposite of the red and green effects on the K'Tinga? I like a sky blue myself for the nacelle inter cooler tubes and the dorsal grill and front cannon, green for the manta's side grills and purple for the two buttons on the oval bridge piece, green or yellow for the aft S2 graph unit panel.
@@JSyoutube61 Okay, I see what you're referring to. For the TOS ships, I try to make them look as they did in TOS, but like the K'tinga, etc, glows on the graff units like they had in STVI would be possible, at least on some of the ships.
Really enjoyed this, but is there a way to tone down the background sound effects. It is way too loud, and drowns out the actors voices. The incidental music is a bit on the loud side as well.
I would like to know what animation system that you use. I use Second Life and I can do a Star Trek fan film in about a week. I have suspended doing my movie making for a time because of the worsening situation in the middle east and am concentrating on food preservation instead. I have a plot I am contemplating for new fan film. I use Microsoft voices and Speechelo voices in mine. My Frightville studios is the most advanced VR movie studio anywhere. It takes me about 3 work day mornings to prepare the scripts and voices, and then I rez my sets and get started.
DAZ Studio. I had a hard drive crash that slowed me way down years ago. The main problem with DAZ3D is that the files reference hard drive locations to assemble scenes. When the system crash hit, it forces a rebuild of all the assets. So... pretty big delay. There's not much left to finish part 2, but it does take a lot of focus. Time zooms by and suddenly it's been a year. I really need to get it done.
Part 2 is giving me some issues, so I'm not sure. Thanks to Strange New Worlds, some of my story won't quite line up with Number One. I'm debating how to handle that, or if it even matters. It is in the edit bay, needs some final rendering done. I posted this part so that it has a full story with a stopping point in case part 2 has to be changed around. It is at about 80% done.
It's still being edited, with a few shots to finish. It's taken a lot longer than I planned to finish it. For now the TOS episode, "Errand of Mercy" is the finale. I'm not done yet, but part 2 will be released asap.
Shortcomings of the software, really. The clothing actually fits over the models, but tends to poke through in certain poses. This caused other problems, so I tweaked it out to minimize the post production. These models were created around 2003. Better models are available now, but it would be more trouble than it's worth to redo all of it.
I'M 74 YO, M AND A TREKKIE FROM THE BEGINNING, AND I DO NOT LIKE ANY OF THE ANIMATED STAR TREK FILMS, TO ME ITS AN INSULT TO ALL TREKKIES. PLEASE STICK TO LIVE ACTORS. THANKS FOR TRYING. STORYLINE SEEMED OK BUT COULD NOT CONTINUE TO WATCH. I FELT BETRAYED. BY TECH.
Having Vic in this is just perfect. And nice work with John Colicos's voice.

This must be the bodybuilding Star Trek film, the characters have large deltoids, large traps, large chests and large biceps 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great work, Kenneth! Loved the visuals, the guest stars, and the epic size of your story! Can't wait for Part 2! Congrats to all involved!
I'm shooting for a Christmas release. Gonna be a lot of work to get there. :)

Thanks! I thought it might be fun to create that first encounter that provided the name for the class as known to Starfleet.
Thank you so much for making this. 10000 times better than Alex Kurtzman's STD or STP.
battle at warp speeds ! fantastic finally !

Really want to see part 2
I'm working on it. Don't have a release date set, but when I am sure, I will post it.
This was sweet.
THIS NEEDS MORE VIEWS. WOULD RATHER WATCH THIS THAN STD/STP
This is really good to see! Keep on going no matter what! Maybe use a blue and amber color theme for the KD7's energy signature?
I'm not sure exactly what you mean there. Can you elaborate?

The disruptors for the D-7 were green, if memory serves.
This really is excellent and but where is part 2?
Part 2 is almost done. I apologize for the delay. I'm reworking a scene that Strange New Worlds invalidated.

Look at the crew. It is NOT the earth ship or even the Terran ship. It IS the Federation ship.
What program are you using for the modeling and the animation?
DAZ Studio and 3d Studio Max.
😮😮😂😂😂now this is star trek right and not the heman show that aside its nicely done.

The beeping is VERY annoying. I had to turn The volume down so that The dialogue became inaudible !
seems like the crew had trouble with an steroid field
When is part 2 coming...notice how men look Men and women like Women without all the woke crap.
Still in editing, but I will post it eventually. Technically, "Errand of Mercy" shows the conclusion, but there is more to this story still coming. :)
WHERE IS PART 2 PLEASE
Love this, did I detect a Wilhelm scream at 4:32 from the helm officer?
