I liked how it fit into continuity by keeping it a secret. And putting a Klingon on a planet of a different empire might even explain that empire's interest in that technology later on. The acting was really good for a fan film, and ditto the Klingon makeup.
I really love how this tied into the Iconian Story arc started in TNG and later followed up in DS9. Very well done, and Happy New Year to Team Avalon Universe.
To the cast and crew you guys are a bunch of magnificent bastards please don’t take offence to that, I bet stewart Foley of trekyards will be grinning like a hyena seeing his ship in action like this
Another great production. It was great to see iconian technology again. I wonder where the Klingon ended up. I thought Romulus? Nice to also see connections to Axanar and Trekyards. Well done 🖖
Well done showing the differences between Klingon and Federation tactics for ship to ship and ground combat. Starfleet away team has a stun setting on phasers with collapsible batons. The Klingons have bladed weapons and disruptor pistols. Federation ships combine shields for greater defense and combine fire power against multiple targets. Klingons work together but only for as long as it doesn’t interfere with personal honor.
The ships were done very well. The acting and the fight scenes and the equipment were corny, but that's good, because it's one of the best things about Star Trek. I think that this series would have been very worthy of a few seasons of TOS Era. Roddenberry, and Shatner, (I think) would be proud of these videos. Just my personal opinion.
Air and Darkness... How subtle XD When I read the title I knew it had something to do with the iconians and their gateways, Love the ship designs tho especially the d7 and I see what you did there with the Foley class lol love the Avalon universe as a wholeand can't wait to see more of it!
Yup... also very "Kirk-ish". How many times did Kirk & company not record the "exact" truth in their logs for the sake of civilization or the people they left...
Well done. Indeed a great start of 2021. It's proof that the fan film guidelines did NOT make fan films impossible. Instead they boosted creativity and determination. Thanks a lot to the cast and crew of the Avalon Universe. On behalf of the crew of the USS Atlas I wish you all the best for the future. Keep on trekking.
That was a truly amazing video the Federation Starships the Dreadnought the Klingon Birds of Prey & the D-7 Battlecruiser look totally amazing the sound effects & everything else is so totally Amazing
Okay, aside from the worst Klingon ground troops ever, its excellent show as your other ones. Keep up the good work! I loved seeing an homage to the canon series with the Iconians.
This was very well written story, contains just enough action to fit into storyline. I also liked how Klingon wanted use Iconian technology for conquest. While Starfleet Captain made wise choice to keep technology secret including from Starfleet
This was so thought out and made brilliant watching, great acting, great story and everyone who helped bring this forth deserves a award equivalent to a Oscar. Well done people.
It was amazing loved how really all the characters felt. I felt like I was in the movie interacting with each character felt like the hole time I had goose bumps. Had 1 hick of a story love what they did at the end of the movie with the artifact very well played out.excellent story line tks for making the film happy new year all
A rousing episode! I loved the callback to the TNG episode's theme of conflict between desire for discovery and fear of perverting the Iconian tech. Very well done Avalon folks!
There was an episode in the original series where Spock gets stuck in a portal like this. I'm gonna rewatch that one. Btw you guys just earned yourself a new subscriber because this production is first rate!
If there is ONE thing you never mess with in the Star Trek Universe is one: An angry Klingon. Two: The Jem Hadar and finally: The damn Iconians! Contact with anything of theirs just results in death and despair. They are too powerful and advanced as they are considered to be the greatest race ever to arise in the ST Universe. Their gates have never been surpassed and if any race in sci-fi could be compared it's Stargate's Lantean or Ancients.
Awesome work from a lifelong Trekker Klingon hand to hand fight maybe could have had fee more Tos style flying kicks and the like with tighter choreography, but nitpicking. Given updated set tech of avalon uni, maybe updated tri corder's with bigger screens?
Excellent story telling, just dropping us in on the action and building on previous episodes! I especially appreciated how you illustrated the Klingon motivations from their perspective. (and there not entirely wrong.) Great work, well done!
Thank you, this is SO good. And the fight scenes (often the one point of weakness in these films) work quite well. The philosophical concepts, the main theme here, are well-displayed and leave the viewer thinking about possible consequences to our society now if such a discovery was made. Not just escapist fun - but then that can so often be said about the world of Star Trek!
I have so been looking forward to something new from you guys, and you did not disappoint! What a great story about the ethics behind discovering advanced tech and the ramifications of using it. Well done!
Who else enjoyed this better than discovery? No wonder Hollywood is terrified of fan production.. These shorts get better all the time and before long no one Will care about studios.
wow. The studios need to start listening to fans, taking fan advice, work with creative fan productions, and bring all this passion, creativity home to the series. And perhaps start funding fan productions.
FOLEY CLASS !!!! This is so well done, it's almost an insult to say "it's better done than current Trek" since current Trek is soo bad. Thank you for paying homage to Captain Foley!
Fantastic job! Great production values, loved the story I thought the Klingons were done very well. In my opinion this is true Star Trek compared to the current offerings from the 'professional' studios, thank you for all your hard work and dedication and please make more! The CGI effects of the Ships-top notch!
I am so looking forward to being able to watch this. Avalon always delivered with good stories and constantly improving CGI and as aa fellow s so many are, simply because we all love Star Trek and a lot of fan films are in so many fans have said , this is what a certain company should be doing, Thank You , to everyone at Avalon for making quality films and may you live long and prosper, and engage.
Excellent space battle and excellent renderings!!!! One ship you had made looks wicked it looked like the TOS eras version of a sovereign class not sure what it was, but it was beautiful@@@!!! lots of good acting as well! People are taking their roles seriously and it's amazing work!
I'm so impressed. Awesome job. Great original story. Great computer work. My only criticism would be the makeup job for the Klingons. Perhaps just should have gone with the 1960's makeup version of them instead of the TNG version? But I'm nitpicking. I loved it!
I liked how it fit into continuity by keeping it a secret. And putting a Klingon on a planet of a different empire might even explain that empire's interest in that technology later on. The acting was really good for a fan film, and ditto the Klingon makeup.
Two Star Trek fanfilms premiering on the same day yes please and thank you
Wait air and darkness oh god the iconians
DSrider I thought the same thing 🙂🖖
Great production
This is fantastic! I love the fact the crew are so real and down to earth. We need more good story telling these days! Thank you.
So well done and written that it makes you think that it was done by a commercial company. Keep up the great work!
Really appreciate this fan film series.
I really love how this tied into the Iconian Story arc started in TNG and later followed up in DS9. Very well done, and Happy New Year to Team Avalon Universe.
Thanks! It was fun sort of bridging the gap there.
@@joshuairwin2016 It also bridges the gap with the Iconian storyline in STO, with the gateway coordinates updating for stellar drift.
and star trek online!
bridge reg too tng was picard
Very cool
The Starship Excalibur is still tough enough to keep fighting.
I think that is the best D7 I've seen.
To the cast and crew you guys are a bunch of magnificent bastards please don’t take offence to that, I bet stewart Foley of trekyards will be grinning like a hyena seeing his ship in action like this
Amen to that.
Another great production. It was great to see iconian technology again. I wonder where the Klingon ended up. I thought Romulus? Nice to also see connections to Axanar and Trekyards. Well done 🖖
I love how the mix the Classic Star Trek with the updated movies. I still perfer the Classic uniforms!
Talk about starting the New Year off right! 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
Right?!

Thank you for asking me to score the music for this awesome fan film!
I'm honestly blown away by the score you wrote!
@@joshuairwin2016 Thank you!!!!
It was good stuff
@@vanceamania thanks!
fight choreography needs work but other than that outstanding job looking forward to future projects
Awesome, 🖖🏾MORE, please 👍🏽

Glad to see Avalon expanding and continuing onward. You guys ever need a Romulan, let me know :)
Air and Darkness... How subtle XD When I read the title I knew it had something to do with the iconians and their gateways, Love the ship designs tho especially the d7 and I see what you did there with the Foley class lol love the Avalon universe as a wholeand can't wait to see more of it!
Thank you! Sam and I thought it would be fun to give a nod to Stewart!
Great story. Great special effects; I loved how it mirrored the TNG episode dealing with the Iconians.
Foley-class dreadnought in action. Finally! Also, Beck has two Klingon blades in her collection.
Excellent special effects, equal to anything on TNG.
Happy New Year to the cast and crew of Avalon Universe!
This was absolutely FANTASTIC and so fitting of Star Trek.
Gosh, what it takes to fight a Klingon. 🖖🏻🖖🏼🖖🏽🖖🏾🖖🏿
Grreat Job. Thank You for keeping Star Trek alive.!!!
What a great start to 2021! Thanks Avalon team! Love seeing new characters but can't get enough of Beck and Ramirez. They're such a great pair!
Either the Klingon captain is way more hardcore than all those other fools, or Ramirez can't throw a punch to save his life XD
Not gonna lie... That Klingon makeup and costume looks REALLY good 👍🏼
Yup... also very "Kirk-ish". How many times did Kirk & company not record the "exact" truth in their logs for the sake of civilization or the people they left...

This is actually a golden age of fan films, dozens have been released and some of the best ever made.
This was awesome! Looking forward to more Avalon Universe in 2021!
The characterizations were much improved as it was suggested to me. This was great! The guy who played the Klingon was great. Just enough scary.
this was well worth the wait and I truly enjoy the character development of Commander Beck.
Great storytelling in the best Trek tradition!
Damn that D7 looks AMAZING!!!
The vest fan sfx to date. More please, this is what trekies need
That was a truly amazing video the Federation Starships the Dreadnought the Klingon Birds of Prey & the D-7 Battlecruiser look totally amazing the sound effects & everything else is so totally Amazing
You mean this gem isn't pilot for a new Star Trek TV series? It should be. 😁👍👍
A Vulcan doctor? Thats a very good idea.
Once again im relying on YT productions instead of multi million pound crap...enjoyed this...star ships were bloody amazing
Great film. This one has to be one of my favourites of your films I've seen so far 😀🖖
Okay, aside from the worst Klingon ground troops ever, its excellent show as your other ones. Keep up the good work! I loved seeing an homage to the canon series with the Iconians.
Bury the gate, huh?
Oops, sorry, wrong franchise 😁
It’s all good. Thanks for making this.
I love this series and characters! I wish you could make more and longer episodes!
Thank you. Excellent way to start the new year.
Excellent, the iconian gateway. Surprised by the 31st century in Discovery they haven't figured it out yet.
Well done! Why is it these days fan films are much better than what CBS comes out with?
This was very well written story, contains just enough action to fit into storyline. I also liked how Klingon wanted use Iconian technology for conquest. While Starfleet Captain made wise choice to keep technology secret including from Starfleet
Great job everyone! Thanks for starting 2021 off like this 😀
Muy buena historia ¡¡¡¡. Ustedes lo hacen excelente, sigan haciendo más. Saludos a todos y muy feliz año nuevo .los saluda un argentino desde España
This was so thought out and made brilliant watching, great acting, great story and everyone who helped bring this forth deserves a award equivalent to a Oscar. Well done people.
That young kid on the bridge reminds me of Wesley Crusher. Very bright. Go youth! 😅
The only thing missing in this episode was the death of a redshirt. Come on, this is the TOS era! Redshirts should be dropping like flies!
Well made and in the true spirit of Gene Roddenberry's vision of Star Trek.
Well. Said . .
Wow what a great fan film, great acting and effects all round.
Happy New Year to the cast and crew.
Right?!

The executives at Paramount really should watch this and other fan-based productions. This is Trek.
Such a great story and I loved seeing the Federation Class dreadnought in action!
THIS is what I should be watching every week and not the dribble currently being passed off as startrek on tv. Another awesome story.

Nice TOS Era encounter of Iconian Technology... meaning the Iconian Gateways and the perfect title to tie in right to them.
That was sooo much fun. Keep up the good work>
It was awesome!

Not wrong at all, actually.
Great job! Thank you all for your hard work.

really enjoyed this one awesome ship to ship space battle
8:40 - That's Iconian technology. Probably they could go *anywhere* from that room.
Most enjoyable! 🖖
Another Winner! Well done team!
As Mac's World would say "Vulcan salute! Vulcan salute!" Thanks for the link Trey!
I knew it... it's an alien TV remote. Jokes aside great shown all around, I'm a happy camper.
Great work everyone involved. Congrats for completing another project and full speed ahead in this New Year.
It was a great watch
I am so happy that they decided to continue the Iconian Story and hopefully some other new adventures as well :)

Realy good work. ST-Fan-Productions like yours understand so much more from ST like the actuel producers.
Both this and part 2 of Pacific 201 makes this a great start to 2021. I can’t wait for more!!

Thanks! The ships you were referring to were Ares Class.
Well done! Thanks for sharing!
I'm so impressed. Awesome job. Great original story. Great computer work. My only criticism would be the makeup job for the Klingons. Perhaps just should have gone with the 1960's makeup version of them instead of the TNG version? But I'm nitpicking. I loved it!
Quite well done. Thanks for the Trek journeys.
Will had better duck, he said fire at will.
Iconian Tech! Neato!
great ace video well done , star trek as it should be many thanks
