Who else enjoyed this better than discovery? No wonder Hollywood is terrified of fan production.. These shorts get better all the time and before long no one Will care about studios.
I liked how it fit into continuity by keeping it a secret. And putting a Klingon on a planet of a different empire might even explain that empire's interest in that technology later on. The acting was really good for a fan film, and ditto the Klingon makeup.
I really love how this tied into the Iconian Story arc started in TNG and later followed up in DS9. Very well done, and Happy New Year to Team Avalon Universe.

Well done showing the differences between Klingon and Federation tactics for ship to ship and ground combat. Starfleet away team has a stun setting on phasers with collapsible batons. The Klingons have bladed weapons and disruptor pistols. Federation ships combine shields for greater defense and combine fire power against multiple targets. Klingons work together but only for as long as it doesn’t interfere with personal honor.
I love how the mix the Classic Star Trek with the updated movies. I still perfer the Classic uniforms!

This is actually a golden age of fan films, dozens have been released and some of the best ever made.

The ships were done very well. The acting and the fight scenes and the equipment were corny, but that's good, because it's one of the best things about Star Trek. I think that this series would have been very worthy of a few seasons of TOS Era. Roddenberry, and Shatner, (I think) would be proud of these videos. Just my personal opinion.

It was amazing loved how really all the characters felt. I felt like I was in the movie interacting with each character felt like the hole time I had goose bumps. Had 1 hick of a story love what they did at the end of the movie with the artifact very well played out.excellent story line tks for making the film happy new year all

The executives at Paramount really should watch this and other fan-based productions. This is Trek.
Thank you, this is SO good. And the fight scenes (often the one point of weakness in these films) work quite well. The philosophical concepts, the main theme here, are well-displayed and leave the viewer thinking about possible consequences to our society now if such a discovery was made. Not just escapist fun - but then that can so often be said about the world of Star Trek!

This was very well written story, contains just enough action to fit into storyline. I also liked how Klingon wanted use Iconian technology for conquest. While Starfleet Captain made wise choice to keep technology secret including from Starfleet
Yup... also very "Kirk-ish". How many times did Kirk & company not record the "exact" truth in their logs for the sake of civilization or the people they left...

If there is ONE thing you never mess with in the Star Trek Universe is one: An angry Klingon. Two: The Jem Hadar and finally: The damn Iconians! Contact with anything of theirs just results in death and despair. They are too powerful and advanced as they are considered to be the greatest race ever to arise in the ST Universe. Their gates have never been surpassed and if any race in sci-fi could be compared it's Stargate's Lantean or Ancients.

Fantastic job! Great production values, loved the story I thought the Klingons were done very well. In my opinion this is true Star Trek compared to the current offerings from the 'professional' studios, thank you for all your hard work and dedication and please make more! The CGI effects of the Ships-top notch!

Wonderful as always! Only just discovered you recently and been working my way through the back catalogue. Loved the use of Iconians and the melee choreography. It's nice to see proper knife self-defence techniques employed on screen! The acting is wonderful as well, it always amazes me how poorly modern pros annunciate their lines compared to this older, almost rep style. Sometimes old is best, which also goes for how the original set styles have been faithfully updated.
My only quibble is that I'm not too keen on seeing the Federation Class from Starfleet Battles being called Foley. Not sure if that's a CGI oopsie involving a class I've never heard of in beta canon material or some sort of internal deck plan difference at play.
I am so looking forward to being able to watch this. Avalon always delivered with good stories and constantly improving CGI and as aa fellow s so many are, simply because we all love Star Trek and a lot of fan films are in so many fans have said , this is what a certain company should be doing, Thank You , to everyone at Avalon for making quality films and may you live long and prosper, and engage.
