Flashbacks to doing my 2018 Silverado. Goodness. I’m getting too old and too dumb to do stereos. I ordered my 23 ram with the 19 speaker Harmon Kardon system. If it sucks, it sucks. Major props to you for doing an incredible job.
I have a 2020 ram 1500 sport with the etorque hemi. I want to do the big 3 upgrade, but can’t find the alternator and was hoping you could explain how if you have done a big 3 upgrade on those trucks and how did you remove the back seat?
Helped me, for sure!! I’m getting ready to sound deaden my doors after I had a full Hertz system installed minus the subs. I have the same that are in this video. Saved this so I can easily refer back to it when I start. Thank you!!
I know this is an older video but they do have the harness for the amp pro out now. I used it in my 22 ram TRX including the harness at the factory amplifier.
First off thank you. Just picked up my 22 trx with the Alpine system and I hate it already. I've always installed my own systems but it's not getting easier. I'm just waiting for PAC to come out with the new harness. I don't have your talents lol. Not much out on these new trucks so again thank you!!!
Sorry, but Fox and JL both make boxes that allow use of RAM bins...Also, thoughts on using a DSR1 for this install and getting rid of amp altogether? Know it works on 2021, waiting for use on 2022+
Just got a ram 1500 with alpine audio and that 12 inch screen. Like damn. Still trying to find out how most plug in play don’t wanna take to much apart
My 22 bighorn stereo has been doing weird stuff like half my speakers cutting out, and the volume being lower at times do you have any insight on that?
Mine does the same shit. Seems like it's only when it's under load and gets too hot but if you turn it off for a while and get back in the truck it works like normal. Did you ever get any answers on this question?
Awesome work, however I have a question? So I had a 5ch amp installed and a single 10 and kept the stock deck in my 2014 Ram 1500. Now I have no sound!!!! The amp I'm using has the output converter built in to it so an external is not needed at least that's what the installer told me. Any suggestions on where to start on figuring this nightmare out.
Hey can you post that wiring diagram results you got? I am running into the same issue with my 2022 Ram and I have a DSR1 I have to hard wire in now. It would be much appreciated. Thanks
Any help would be appreciated we have the 22 tradesman put in a pioneer stereo everything works great other than the rear view camera which is the separate red end looking plug tried to make our own fakra to RCA cord but no luck
I am having a problem with my 2022 factory speakers. It’s cutting off if music has a lot of bass. Ram says they are working to create a new software that supposedly will solve the problem. I am thinking rewiring it would solve my problem. Have you heard about the problem I am having???
Absolutely great video man. I am in the same boat. Traded my 2020 Ram 1500 in, which had the AMPPro and all JL Audio speakers, DSP, AMPs and a sub, for a 2022 Ram 1500 last week. Although I knew ahead of time that the harness was different, but they are working on a new harness and should be released soon. I am in no hurry as it is getting hot where I live, and I am not looking to be out in the heat as a 55 yr old tearing out seats, door panels and running wire. I will wait until it is cooler out and hope fully the new harness will be available by then. Since this was a base system, couldn't you have accessed the factory speaker wiring from the ANC or is that different on the 2022? I have the alpine system so mine is a bit different and FYI, MTI Acoustics makes sub boxes and the JL Audio Stealthbox will fit without blocking the storage bins but, they are super expensive..
Yes, it was all figured out. I had it in the video going over what was happening but had to trim it out due to the video length getting out of control. It was the passive crossover, causing a phase shift in the door speakers. I pulled the door woofers signal from going through the passive crossover and ran them active straight from the amp.
I just got a 2022 a few months ago. Put in Kicker 6x9s I got from Walmart. It’s like they hit 30% of what they should be hitting at. Any ideas? Bass is turned all the way up on the screen. It’s the 8.4 Nav
The stock 6x9s are designed to be “subs/mid bass” speakers in this truck. Using Coaxials that are meant to be decent at everything will create this problem. You’d be better off using the stock 6x9s and replacing the dash speakers with the lowest impedance 3.5” speakers you can find. That will improve sound quality and total loudness a little bit. If you really want to change all speakers then you’d want to use 6x9 component speakers that are designed with a crossover to ensure the 6x9s are only playing bass mid bass and mid frequencies
Add an amplifier to it. Also, the stock system is designed for a 3ohm impedance. Find 3 ohm speakers or add an amp that's appropriate to your speaker application.
I got a 2022 ram rebel crew cab and i have a sound system also, 2 12 kicker cvx with custom box, db drive cdx 6x9 medios, and tweeters, kicker cxa 1800 rms amp, mojo pro amp, audiocontrol epicenter i spent around $3,500 dollars with installation
I have a 22 Ram 1500 quadcab I replaced all the speakers I'm using a pac LPA-E.4 from the unit to a jl vxi 600/6 and a jl slash mono.. 600/1 . It sounds like crap the bass and the highs...how can I get into the oem head unit to turn down the highs and lows...they're too strong to be processed by the dsp in the vxi..even with the factory eq turned all the way down on bass..mid..treble still sounds horrible..I'm from SC and willing to pay you to get me and my installer on the right track..PayPal..Cash app whatever..I just need info to get it right..I'm also running a tw5 13 it should pound..but it flubbles..after volume on about 9
I got a new 22 and I’m having issues with different speakers cutting out randomly and at times it’s quieter altogether than others any insight on that?
@@brandonb6718 the 6 speaker system has a limiter for the amount of power it can push at one time. Once something goes above that threshold all other frequencies will become quieter . It’s best to leave your equalizer all 0 out
Great video! Just got my 22 Ram 1500 Laramie and been looking for someone that’s done some work. Thanks for putting that work in and giving us a view. Hope your wife makes you some more tacos because you deserve it lol

Awesome, I'm glad it helped somebody out. That's always the goal.
Homie could work on my truck anytime. Top notch!
I wish I had an audio shop near me that actually knew all this stuff like this.

LLJ products is making a loop harness for the rams with the 2 little connectors they estimate mid October

Why you had to run all nee wires to the speakers???

Hi so I just got the 2024 ram 2500 do you think the ampro apa ch41 and Aphc 142 will work.
How much would u charge to put a system like that in? I got a 2022 ram 1500 lone star?
I have the same truck. How much will you charge me to do mines the same way?
I'm in Houston
So when can I drop off my 22 ram ?
Can I ask which AMPpro you used I see there is diferent ones
This one had no anc box under the driver seat ?
Did you have to use load resistors for this setup?
Amazing job man! I’m going to do this myself too so this was super helpful
Was this after retuning it because i know u said the customer wasnt too happy with the sound

Either that or go all out with a 4channel amplifier

Great vid sir. I need help finding a sub box for my 22 ram classic warlock all i see is 02-18
Same box as 2018s

Nice..How much for that installation? That was some work.

Not on the base system
How much did this cost
