    In 99.9999999999999999% case, Toyota never need such service. Only cleaning Mass Air Flow sensor MAF, and Throttle body are necessary every 60k miles. This Dealer just slap printed paper with Toyota sign and called it OEM which is total BS. It does not harm the car but not necessary. For $100 service, it is better for just Full synthetic Oil change 0w-20 for 2 years maintenance instead of this service. Well, Most Toyota Injectors last 500k miles or more.

    Oh my Toyota service tech tried to up-sell me this service, a throttle body cleaning and injector flush on a 25,000 mile Tacoma; so he basically wanted to lighten my wallet by a few hundred bucks for no reason.

    • @RastaJediX
      @RastaJediX Рік тому

      Yeah the ICE of a hybrid is used less than normal car. However, if it doesn't have direct injection, just open it up to the red line once a week or once month while getting on highway. Take a nice 15min 65mph drive, it will clear everything out.

    • @rondhole
      @rondhole Рік тому

      @@RastaJediX Highway constant speed drive is a good thing but not redline rev. High spike on oil pressure is not friendly to head gasket and piston rings. Just a good regular highway cruise and we can have 1 million miles trouble free ICE. If we live in developed countries, the fuel quality is generally good. We never need to burn money on additives.

    The directions are way too non-specific. This gives an overview, not specific directions on how to do the job. Step by step, explain it to me like it's the first time I was doing it because it is. This just seems like a video that is intended to provide me just enough information so that I will decide not to do the job and I'll take it to the dealership instead.

    • @actionjackson8439

      @johnc.bailey8514 3 роки тому +1

      @Brian Hughes Well, you see, the purpose of posting instructional videos on UA-cam is to instruct.
      And if you're representing Sherwood Park Toyota, they're now very aware of your reaction to this comment.
      Since this video falls short of that, I will look elsewhere. That doesn't discount the fact that I came here and went away with nothing except the comments that actually solve your problem for you.
      Question. Do you actually work for Sherwood Park Toyota? Are you responsible for this video? Because if you're not, then who's acting entitled? If you are, you're actually acting even more entitled by insisting that your video is okay when it doesn't even come close to explaining the totality of the Toyota fuel injection service which is the title of the video so, you know, a full explanation of the service, for novices which is what Sherwood Park Toyota professes to help people with, would be the lowest expectation. Since you haven't met the lowest expectation, your transparent, testosterone fueled attempt at ripping me actually makes you more entitled but the most entitled people rarely realize that about themselves so I guess I can give you a mulligan on this one.
      Thanks to @427elevatingproductions
      for answering more questions in five comments than this video did in two minutes which is sadly, sadly short of what the Toyota fuel injection process should take to explain.
      OHHHHhhh. I just figured it out. It's a size issue. You're upset because I said your videos too short. That's not what I meant bro.

      @@actionjackson8439 I'll amend the previous comment only by saying that you must be the dude under the hood in the video cuz otherwise why would you give a fuck what I have to say? Your pitiful UA-cam channel has one subscriber. You're obviously just trolling around looking for excuses to be a dick. This wasn't a good one, and you're not even good at being a dick. And by that I mean exactly what you think I mean.

      What a weird comment. What makes you think a Toyota dealer service center would give you instructions on how do this? They are in the business of doing this service for the customer, and are demonstrating why they think they it should be done. Those in the know realize if you change your engine oil regularly and don't use junk fuel you don't need this service anyway. Sheesh.

      @johnc.bailey8514 3 роки тому +4

      @@scandia67 you're going to laugh, or maybe not, but the final piece of the puzzle actually came from my Toyota dealer who was more than happy to help me save money by doing it myself. Actually showed her this video too. Her comment? "What's that supposed to accomplish? No wonder you called me." Then, hold on to your seats, she explained the crucial steps and told me to call her if I had any problems.
      Peace. Out.
