This is by far my favorite build I've found on YT. Love it, the only critique I have is your cuts to illustrate the tornado flow do not match the direction of the motor. The cuts go clockwise (if your looking at it from the top) while the motor spins counter clockwise. Outside of that the piece is absolutely gorgeous and damn near perfect. Very creative mind you have, by far some of the best stuff on YT.

Would love to see some kind of "trash heap golem" that looks like a bunch of assorted trash was recycled into a horrific construct. I'm imagining a roughly turtle, beetle, or arachnid shape with "teeth" made of bent nails, broken bottles, snapped blades, and splintered wood, "legs" made of warped barrels, discarded bones, and crushed furniture, and "eyes" made of smashed clocks, cracked horseshoes, and rusted-out lanterns.

Great video. I recently lived in Oregon, USA and I think you could do the same procedure to make a Fire Tornado effect. Very scary in real life and would work well in a Forest or Grasslands setting. Remember that in Fire there is frequently a Face of the Fire Spirit/Elemental.

Can you use matchbox-type motor things for anything. My granddaughter is a car nut so she gives me her broken ones now "to fix", but I am going to make them into mad Max cars, and then I am going to make these cool apocalyptic robots as a chess set. Haven't figured out the board yet, any suggestions is most appreciated.
Nicely done🤘🏼. Did you know, if you place a "mobile cottage" in any of your pastures, it will keep tornados away from your Manor/Castle/Keep, guaranteed! 🌪🚫🏰.
What might be an interesting idea would be coating the cyclone effect with UV resin layers then dissolving the styofoam in something such as acetone to make a transparent version, you could also imbed the rocks and debris by coating them in resin. Hmm, a bit of resin dye and painting on changing layers of yellow - orange - red to matt black could do a good fire vortex with a matt coating and flickering UV light.
Awesome idea Roger. Cool inside info... I actually made 3 of these before I was happy with the final result. I was making them too complicated. I even made one with clear caulking over the foam and layered in all kinds of debris. It was way too heavy and I wasn't happy with the final result. You have a great idea. Might be my fourth rendition :) Thanks Roger.

I am new to this channel, and this video made me subscribe. If I may ask because I have not seen many other videos that you have made, have you ever made an erupting volcano build? I have since a few of your larger builds like the Haunted House, and I was curious as to how large you could get. The reason I ask is that I have a D&D campaign, in which one of the continents (called Ueracia) is just a large volcano, with the igneous rock creating the entire landscape, forcing those that live there to adapt to the constantly changing environment, and I can imagine the stereotype final fight against a dragon at the top of the volcano. I do not believe I have ever seen a 3d dnd volcano build that was large enough for a party to fight on the top of the volcano, and judging by the rest of your stuff, I think you would have some really cool ideas.
First, welcome to the channel! I haven’t built a volcano although that’s a very cool idea. In the meantime you can combine a few videos to get your desired effect. Check out my cave entrance video and my fireball diorama. That would be a good start!

I am 66 and this will more than likely be the last artisan craft I will learn, I mean I've been wanting to do this for.....damn, a long time.😆 I tried a few times but one day I was mindlessly flipping thru yt and there you were, tada! My kids and us have had this ongoing story since they were young, it's about a solar system with the planet Ruckus, which is where all ADHB (b as in behavior not d as disorder, there ain't nuthin' wrong with us 😂) and creative folk come from. Anyway, we are going to make it into a tabletop game, thanks to you. Geez, I am gushing now but just wanted to let you know how much i appreciate you and your channel, plus I found other channels thru you too. I have now made my first Dio from scratch and a cool book nook. I am in the process of moving and so everything is packed up.....but I am getting me a she-shed. Can't wait to get back to working on these. Oh, and a resin printer is at the top of my list.

Great job and great creativity. You should try to do the same in semi-transparent resin, because after all, a tornado is air. You could integrate objects inside and body, as you did for this one, but that we could see by transparency. And at the base of this tornado, with the motor, you could integrate a diode that flashes to suggest thunder. That would be really cool ... hahaha, but it would be hard work. Cheers from France!

So you've now got the "spell effect" (glowing), the fireball, is the gelatinous cube possibly one?, and now the twister. How about a lightning (AOE or single bolt) spell so we can see some more led work? I'm sure @Terrain-Tronics has plenty of time to work on a "chase scene" for the leds in the lightning. He's always bored.

I use either a wet rag or better yet tinfoil to clean the melting plastic off of hot tools while in use.
I've used foil as well... the only issue with the wet rag and foil is heat transfer... but it does work!
