The newest F-35s have a completely new internal structure not even close to the original structure. Its a much better and different aircraft. the f35 is not the only one to beat the su. Yes the su is an outstanding aircraft and apples to apple is better than the f22 but, and its a big but, no pun intended, If you cant see it, you cant shoot it and there in is the difference. While the su is a more maneuverable aircraft the the f22 perhaps, the problem is the pilot of the su wont know the f22 is in the area until it is blown up. So the question is do you want to fly a plane in combat that the other side can see, or the one that the other side cant see.
It is very interested how it will be in direct fight. Of cource technically - radar, AI, technical coordination of whole group - definitly is better in F35. But direct fight - only guns and pilots. Agility, smart pilotage, max speed and others abilities...

the f35 is not the only one to beat the su. Yes the su is an outstanding aircraft and apples to apple is better than the f22 but, and its a big but, no pun intended, If you cant see it, you cant shoot it and there in is the difference. While the su is a more maneuverable aircraft the the f22 perhaps, the problem is the pilot of the su wont know the f22 is in the area until it is blown up. So the question is do you want to fly a plane in combat that the other side can see, or the one that the other side cant see.

It is very interested how it will be in direct fight. Of cource technically - radar, AI, technical coordination of whole group - definitly is better in F35. But direct fight - only guns and pilots. Agility, smart pilotage, max speed and others abilities...
