I use tungsten halogen lamps lights up the area and warms it up rather than use those little warm air heaters, keeps your back warm too when your stood in front of them peering into the dark recesses of box sections of my Capri.
I have to give you top marks for your enthusiasm and dedication to the project. Sure many people would have given in by now, but I'm pleased that you are sticking at it. Well done.
Luck was on your side with all them bolts coming out. She has dried out now so there be a lot of rust drop out every time you roll had the same problem. Hopefully the under seal is not as thick as my escort was 👍
It's great to see the job that you are doing !!! .... You make it look so easy... but it's great to watch !!! ... I own an old car i need to restore but i had a huge amount of tools that i bought in the 80's stolen !!! ... Keep up the good work mate !!! 🙂
There is a lot of rust on the floor, so how long has it been standing right where you got it from because it is a load of us down the floor so what made you buy it then because it was rare it was an automatic you’ve got a lot of work to do You Gotta get a new chassis legs and all that lot all the old floor out better off, cutting all the floor out and putting a new flooring and new chassis to the whole lot as you’re doing it from scratch phone boat restoration project a bit of shopping, a whole lot out and we doing it From the whole lot from scratch and last longer if you patchwork it then you’ll be doing it again in a few years down the line. Just bring up Capri gear and see how much is the new floor panels is there just patching it 😮😮 a lot of people are telling you as well the same as what I’ve told you to do it from scratch on the whole lot 😊😊😮😮😮
I don’t think he’s in any doubt about the floor, he’s done quite a few of these now and from what I can remember this one is actually the worst! (I think he could almost cut this old floor out with his Mums dressmaking scissors) ha ha! 🤣😂
Jesus mate that's badly corroded like my mk5 cortina ghia that was moted. everything was full of filler car was very tidy on the bodywork. when I dug in deeper of the structure it was bad like your capri someone used expanding foam. And filler loads of black tar. I just gave up with it. Hats off to you mate. At end of the day it's tax free and mot exempt capri it's worth saving

Hi Mate, are you going for the full one piece floor with tran tunnel or two side floors panels?
No mate half floor ,
I wonder if it would be worth sand blasting it now it's stripped down
I will be getting her dipped when weldings done oak
