Good is the enemy of great, but perfection is the enemy of good

  • I've been stifled by my own judgments and have been my own worst enemy when it comes to creating anything of substance. Too often I think, "someone has done it better" "this isn't perfect" or "people already know this", and on down a list of dissenting voice that I haven't been able to shake.
I'm going to try and shake them, and just create the things that feel good and feel helpful for precisely those two reasons. I probably didn't need to explain all of this, but I know there are people out there who feel the same way. In fact, here's a video on it I just watched recently:

Loved the video! And I can relate to your topic regarding perfection and worrying so much before posting any type of informative content that could actually help someone. Thanks a lot for this man!

I can extremely much relate to this Bryce. I've been following your stuff since like 2012 and will continue in doing so. You were one of the first people I looked up to and now I can count myself to being in that field as well. I respect you highly and you've done a lot for a lot of people out there, myself included. While perfection is something that we could try to strive for, it is and stays a temporary subjective illusion and the way towards perfection is what really counts.

It's nice to have an elite athletes point of view and see how it lines up with the lit and how it interacts. Sometimes it shines a different direction on things

While I really enjoy training videos, and the knowledge shares, I REALLY enjoyed this. Thank you.

I can really relate to this. Seeing what my competitors are doing gets to me, despite my being at a much lower level. I would LOVE to see more of your insight on so many things. Also what is your reference for planning trips? All three looked absolutely ideal

Brave video - thanks, Bryce! Funnily enough, the content is still high quality and very pleasant to watch. Also, as far as fear of putting out content goes when others have done a great job already: there's never just ONE way of doing things, and your specific way might help certain folks that maybe did not benefit as much from Helms' or Nuckols' work, which is great in its own right. Keep up the good work.
