Hey everybody! Ryan here. I am beyond proud to present our new limited series, “Making Watcher.” It’s an honest look at 3 dummies making their own company, and to be completely transparent, there was some stuff in here that I was hesitant to share, cause it’s kind of vulnerable. This series was definitely a passion project for me, I put a lot into this one, and I hope you enjoy it. This series will be infrequently released (as this is an actual journal of our progress as a company). Also, in the spirit of transparency, the reason the rest of this series will be released exclusively on Patreon is due to the trials of starting an actual sustainable business, and that will become apparent when you watch! Anyways, enough gabbing from me, please enjoy the first episode of Making Watcher.
It's official all the best people have left Buzzfeed
Shane talking about almost crying, Ryan being so stressed, and Steven focusing on the business side and being the driving force is crazy. Steven doing his best to learn business is crazy. I’m glad they pushed through all the effort
I watched a 3 min ad for them to get more adsense so I’d say I’m an investor
Funny how time flies, I was extremely happy when the launch was successful. Now, you're turning your back on the community that supported you. What a betrayal.
I like the simple "we worked at Buzzfeed, felt it was time to leave so we did"
Mad respect to Steven Lim for taking on the business side like a mad lad
anyone else remember when shane and ryan got steven in the sims and locked him in a prison
I will never get over the fact that they just used a Google Slides theme for their powerpoint
I dunno who said it in the comment section but it said "When Shane and Ryan quits then it's over for you Buzzbitches"
"I'm worried no one will care". That just broke my heart, Ryan. Why would no one care? You guys have obviously put so much care and love and determination into this business and I don't think anyone could ignore that. Plus you guys have a really strong community of fans. We know you guys, at least the way you present yourself to the audience and we care about you. I don't think anyone would care what you guys were doing, as long as its you and we can tell you're enjoying what you do then we'll always be here for you!
And little did they know when filming this, that a pandemic would arise and they'd bring happiness to many people with few good things to look forward to. Thank you Watcher
i think we need a "Steven Lim" in every team, who just numbs their feelings and anxieties to push through every boundaries. i can really feel that he has the same amount of pressure/stress like Ryan and Shane, but he is just ignoring it, and take the difficult responsibility for the team. kudos to three of you!!! i believe you guys are going to make it!
I was so worried that Shane and Ryan would never work together again once they eventually left Buzzfeed, I'm so glad they are doing this!!! AND with Steven!
"I made myself feel nothing."
I love that Shane and Ryan are like "we cried" and Steven's like "so anyway, here's the next business email" HAHAH love them so much :D
this coming up in my recommended after yesterday's video is absolutely rich
Ryan: "Between the three of us, we made two of their top shows: 'Worth It' and 'Buzzfeed Unsolved.' "
SO NOBODY WAS GOING TO TELL ME THIS WAS A THING? I had to google "where the hell is the next season of Buzzfeed UNSOLVED. Thankfully a Variety article told me "lol you thought," and pointed me here.
It’s September 2020, I’ve seen every episode of buzzfeed unsolved and yet this has only just popped up on my feed. UA-cam’s algorithm sucks.
