Great instructions! However, I got confused when powering on my babyape pro v2, it went to bind mode immediately without the need to connect/disconnect 3 times. I kept doing it over and over again wondering why the lights and the beeps were the same no matter if connected once, or 3 times. To be clear, after only one connect, it would do the double beep and the tx led was double blinking like it should when in bind mode. Finally I just decided to try and bind it and it worked. I'm pretty new to all of this and it was a little frustrating that it acted differently than everyone said it would. I'm posting this in case someone else runs into the same anomoly. Happy flying! and thanks again for the tutorial, it was very informative.
Hi Bart, thanks for sharing this, this is something I might have overlooked, as when I was making this video I have already bind it many times, and to force the receiver into binding mode, plug and unplug 3 times is the way to go.LOL Good to know it has worked right out of the box. Happy flying!
@@iFLYXWings6589 Mine came with 3.0 on it already so I didn't have to flash. But my controller was 2.5 so it wasn't binding. At first I thought the babyape wasn't going into bind mode. And that's what brought me to your fine channel. I soon figured out that the problem was in my controller and that I had to upgrade it, and then like magic, it bound. I learned a lot today, thank you 👍
my radio binds to the drone but in betaflight when configuring the radio joystick commands it doesn't work, not even in the modes it works, I can't find a video explaining how to fix this, I've already changed the receiver and radio mode there and it doesn't work
Mind binded it says connected on my Boxer there is a C On radio but when I arm it, nothing happens the quad does nothing yet it says it’s connected and binded
Trying to do this with the baby ape pro v2. I dont have wifi on my computer. what do I select instead when flashing the drone? BetaflightPassthrough or UART? Technically I'm plugged into the FC through the bottom of the drone so I'm leaning toward passthrough but I want to double check. Thanks for the video! This whole process has been one big headache, I'd be 100% lost without these tutorials.
Frankly speaking, I never tried doing this via betalight passthrough, so i don’t think I will be much help here. Flashing via Wifi is still the easiest option, but the next option might be to flash via betaflight passthrough. But If you drone is received recently, it might already have ELRS 3.0 already. Anyway, glad that at least I helped a little
i have a problem that the connection of the vtx stops at like 5 m. ive tried multiple goggles so it has to be the vtx. Do uhave an idea how to fix that?

If you are taking about ELRS. The baseline should have an SPI receiver, you need to flash Betaflight to 4.4 version for ELRS 3.X. You should be able to use the auto detect function at BF to find the target

Any suggestions would be great. I'm very new to this hobby, I just received my BabyApe II and I have 2 things. Firmware reads v. unknown (8d3388) ISM2G4 in ExpressLRS. Second is my TX16s will not bring up or load the expresslrs for wifi/bind. I've tried all to get this to work on my radio, but it wont load. Any help would be appreciated. Mainly on the TX16s express lrs lua scipt not loading. Thx.
@Congo81 I did. When I purchased my tx16s it said It has internal elrs. Finally bought an external module and it worked right away. It did not have and Internal module.

You can as it is budget enough to start with; however, if you are complete beginner as you say, my suggestion is to start with a tiny whoop. Mobula 7 / Mobula 6 will be a good starting choice
Based on the description, I think you have a bricked ELRS receiver, a special flashing method will be required to unbrick it . I have the same issues and looking in the solutions as well. Once I figure out I will post it. For the the best way I can recommend is get a new receiver for now

Oh, i misunderstood Your receiver should be fine. This has happened to me before. switch off you wifi on you PC and reenable it. Plug the quad again, wait until it goes to wifi mode and connect again. Make sure you give it enough airflow during this process(Blow it with a fan) or something might overheat
You will need to set it up yourself. Go to ELRS LUA Script - Enable wifi - Connect the WIFI using a PC - Setup your binding phrase in the webpage that pops out - Save & Reboot. (Sorry, i understand this is complicated

@IFLY X-WING FPV i have followed the video and it worked great but recently my baby ape pro v2 is not arming. the Controller i am using is the raidomaster TX12 and it says it is connected i was wondering if you have an answer
If it was arming prior but now it is not, double check you setting to see if anything changed, check your TX12 and turn on turn off model match to see if that is the problem. Or simpler plug it into betaflight to see the arming flag

Theoretically, the FC can be powered by a 1S lipo, however, the weight of the entire drone and the motors are not meant for 1S, for this size 2S if most likely the minimum

If you are referring to analog VTXs, check to see if you are stuck in PIT Mode.

The Darwin website does offer a package deal with goggles and radio, but for the most part FPV items are all solder separately

You can just make one up. Just make sure both the TX/RX is set up the same
