  • Hey guys! In this video, I'll be sharing an update on my weight loss and fitness journey this year - as I try to transform my health this year/ get healthy again and get fit and strong!
    You'll see my meals - there will be some healthy meal and recipe inspiration and ideas, and you can come along with me as I workout and try to get into my fitness routine again.
    As this was a vlog, there are also some updates on my apartment, going to Disneyland with Rob, and having some fun with my best friend :)

    Aww I’m so sorry to hear that, I have Chronic fatigue and immune issues and it’s two steps forward one back. You’re doing all the right things it’s just so frustrating. The only advice I can give you(I’ve had this 20 yrs!) is to pace your tasks, do an activity till you just start to tire, then rest and don’t run around when you get a burst of energy. You’ll crash.       It does seem that way I think. You're right - never go past when you start to get tired, and you're right - don't run around when you get a burst! Although it's always tempting, I'm trying to do this :) Thanks!

      @@LiezlJayne Do you have an autoimmune disease? Reason I ask is that I have one and you have similar symptoms related to fatigue. Gluten can really effect an autoimmune disease (I know it's super trendy right now, but gluten creates a lot of inflammation if you are autoimmune.) . Maybe try substituting your pumpernickel/rye bread with a gluten free bread? I really like Glutino seeded.

    I hope you feel better ❤️ I swear I go through the same thing. Every time I’m ready to get back to fitness I start feeling sick and can’t push harder bc then I feel even more sick ugh! I also listen to The Power and The Secret when ever I’m feeling down and get into a positive mind set. I love those books!

    I know you are still struggling and appreciate learning about your honest journey, but I still always feel inspired to be better when I watch your videos! My partner has Lyme disease and has very bad days, but mostly have been good lately. Here's to hoping you feel yourself soon!

    I fully get you. I have been trying for almost a year to get back into my fitness routine since I burnt out last year. Every time I try get into a workout routine, I get sick! So I know my body is not ready yet. I just keep slowly doing what I can handle bit by bit. Just do what you can xx

    I have the same problem with feeling better, apparently "overdoing" it activity-wise, & ending up sick again. I really hope your situation resolves soon! I'm so happy you're feeling better mentally; I couldn't agree more that that's definitely a HUGELY important part of overall health.     Hi L! Thanks for this fun video! :) The truth is...you don't really "need" to lose weight..maybe you should think of it (for now) as you being successful at maintaining a healthy weight? That's something to be proud of!! :)

    Hey great vlog. So interesting to hear how you are doing with your health. I too I'm dealing with similar issues/feelings and the only thing I get is oh my iron level was low, but they don't know what is causing it and if won't rise. So tired all the time.     If this isn't working for you i think you need to explore some other options for exercise besides traditional gym routine. There are many ways to get fit.

    i hope you will get better soon! it makes me sad that you keep getting sick. just do whatever helps you to get better, even if its just laying around. but i guess those light workouts are a good start. cause you probably wouldnt feel comfortable just laying around and if you dont feel comfortable, you wont get better. i enjoyed this video, i had to watch it in episodes cause it was quite long :-) get well!! hugs from switzerland

    Hey Liezl, I just wanted to share with you that I had very similar symptoms to you...was always majorly fatigued and anytime I got a bit better, the smallest amount of exercise would put me right back to where I started. Anyway, I saw a naturopath a few years ago and she recommended I take a magnesium supp...but a specific one; megamag muscleze by Nutri. It literally changed my life. I have gut issues which is why it seems I can't absorb enough magnesium etc from food. You may want to try it. Hope you feel a lot better soon and I lo be your videos and calorie counting system!😊

    I have a relative who suffers from EBV. When they get sick they go on a course of vitamin B drops
    (One drip every +- 2 months - for a total of 3 courses)
    It makes a huge difference in their energy and health - vital. B is a flu fighter, stress fighter and immune booster.
    Maybe you could speak to your doctor.
    Just thought it could help.

    I followed your work out and food plan for the 12 weeks. I saw some good results but then I couldn’t sustain it afterwards- I went on vacation right afterwards and ruined my progress. I’m back at square one trying all over again

    Have you check your cortisol level ?you might have Adrenal fatigue. I have it ,and have been struggling with it for a while and your symptoms seem similar.

    I know you eat very healthy already but try looking into the lectin free diet. It is supposed to be really beneficial for those with autoimmune type disorders which could be the cause of your fatigue.

    It’d be cool to see you go full carnivore for a month and see if that helps with your sickness. I’ve heard from the carnivore channels that oats and vegan protein do more harm than good. But I have no clue what’s right. You’ve heard of Mikhaila Peterson? Well I love you leizl! You’re a beautiful inspiration. ❤️ thanks for your content.

    I would get checked for Addison's Disease if you're experiencing such fatigue and not feeling well. I have Addison's Disease and it started many years before I was actually diagnosed - and I was bedridden and literally dieing.

Eating a more balanced vegan diet (using your point system) has changed my life. You are making a difference in people's lives. I am concerned for you watching this video and my heart really goes out to you during this time. I am sure with your education and knowledge in nutrition that you are looking into all possible options to heal yourself. I just thought I would extend some of my own wisdom to you. Have you ever heard of Anthony William? I was having some issues that his celery juice and more monumentally his heavy metal detox smoothie healed me of.     Stay away from intense exercise and just stick to walking (like 10,000 steps a day) and low intensity strength training a few times per week :) why try to do intense exercise if it’s making you sick

    Have you had bloodwork and other testing for autoimmune conditions? After a while of feeling badly, I finally had a full rheumatology panel, and they found an autoimmune disease. Having answers helps.

    I wonder if the move to LA is not helping with the getting sick all the time? You seemed to be on a really good track and happy with your status in SA ... just a thought?!? ;)

    I have had an extremely slow recovery from adrenal fatigue (years!) even though I do everything I should. Have you read about compassion focused therapy? I believe Paul Gilbert is the name of the founder and I have only read Swedish psychologists who have written books about it and it had changed my world. My issue isn’t what I do but how I do it. Maybe it could help you too or maybe you could read up on it and see if there is anything you would like to share here to help others who struggle.
