    Enjoy every moment and don’t overthink it! The most wonderful experience you and your husband will ever have. I have 4 girls and each delivery was different. If you look at what you’re about to go through (labor) like a job. Screaming doesn’t help only waste energy. Focus and listen to your team in the delivery room, they will guide you this the process. The books will tell you one thing and it’s possible the exact opposite will happen. For example, contractions should last less than a minute and 10 minutes apart. Not mine, 3 minutes apart and 5 plus minutes in length. Just roll with it!!! You got this…

      Thank you so much for this! I cannot tell you how much hearing things like this helps. Honestly the one and only comfort I have is knowing that SO many women have done this before...and chosen to do it MULTIPLE times. I know it'll be okay, just that fear of the unknown. Priority one is working towards a safe & healthy delivery. I really haven't read any books or done any classes, not sure if I should, but it's all so overwhelming. I'm just trusting that my doctors and my body know what to do! As for screaming, gosh I hope I don't scream! And I hope no one else on the floor is delivering and screaming - I think that'd just scare me and make me more nervous haha.

    For hospital bag, I packed SOO much and barely touched any of it. I didn’t shower per doc orders, no makeup or hair because so exhausted and focusing on the baby. Only being the leaving hospital outfit, otherwise they are swaddled with 2 blankets and a hat. Also, hospitals provide SOO much! Bring your nursing tank and sweats… maybe a zip sweatshirt. Wish list as hindsight, MAYBE invest in measuring for a nipple shield and bringing it just in case latching is hard and call the lactation consultant for help!!!!! Bring a hand pump for colostrum and to help your milk come in. Sometimes baby sleeps too long and it’ll affect your supply. Ask for extra bottles of the spray stuff they give you for down there, it was a savior and the store brand isn’t the same !! Bring your own blanket and pillow, GOD SEND! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

      Haha oh gosh, I feel like I'm going to be the over packer too. I'm hoping I can muster up the energy to shower and put myself together a little bit but I could very well be delusional about that right now haha. YES to all the comfy, nurse-friendly clothes and care items. I have the tanks/bras/creams/and sliver covers which I've heard great things about! I'm really hoping to be able to breast feed so trying to be prepared for that. Need a pump for colostrum and definitely want to pack my own pillow and blanket!! Thank you so much for all of this!! XOXO

    For dazzle dry you need Nail prep, Base coat, color, and topcoat.
    Optionally, you could get their rifgr filler, but I've never tried it and it adds an extra step and extra time to painting your nails.

  • @annawchin

    hahahah, my manicure pre-baby was probably top 3 of what I could do for me before giving birth. For my first, I had a scheduled induction, and was able to do a neutral color, I think like a lilac/mauve. For my second, I went into labor spontaneously at 38 weeks, and with the craze of pregnancy and having my older, I didn't have time for a mani so they were naked and it felt SO WEIRD. So I totally get your mindset! Our baby room was also very neutral, and I love it. I felt the same, I didn't want to "assign" a theme for my baby. My best recommendation for hospital bag is the FridaMom peri bottle. The hospital one is absolute crap. Also, a comfy, cozy robe is essential, especially if you plan on breastfeeding, you will basically be whipping out the ladies all the time for baby, and wearing a top that is not conducive to nursing will just be a pain. My hair loss was awful, but it's all hair you were supposed to lose during pregnancy but didn't because of hormones. And it DOES come back in time, so try not to worry too much about it. Recs for TV shows (sorry if you've seen these already): Ted Lasso (AppleTV), Workin Moms (Netflix), Firefly Lane (Netflix), Only Murders in the Building (Hulu), Modern Love (I think 2 seasons are on Amazon Prime). Books: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (the print on this book is small, might be hard post partum but very good!), My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry. You look absolutely amazing and healthy pregnant, and nobody gets it other than other women who have been pregnant. You'll do great, it's such an experience and as much as there is unknown to you, there is a lot that will come so naturally! Wishing you the best!

    • @AmandaBellaa
      @AmandaBellaa  8 місяців тому

      This comment made me so happy in a million different ways - we are very similar haha. 1 - I LOVE your pre-labor mani journey! 😂 A neutral is a great idea and I can see how for your second you missed the boat. My girlfriend just got me the FridaMom Peri Bottle along with some other postpartum care items and I feel so much more prepared! I've packed a cozy robe and PJ's with easy access for nursing and picked up a couple of comfy nursing bras to have on hand! The only thing I'm looking for now is a cozy going home outfit, again, trying to make it nurse friendly because I feel like I anything I buy right now probably should be. Thanks for making me feel better about the hair loss, I am anticipating it, but happy to know it will come back. ◡̈ This list of shows is PERFECT! I've only watched (and LOVED) Ted Lasso, but haven't seen any of the others - well I watched a couple episodes of Working Moms when it came out but feel like I'll be able to relate to it much more now. Adding them all to my list! And you are so right, I could not even comprehend pregnancy until going through it. I feel like a horrible friend/family member for not understanding what the ladies in my life went though and the needs they probably needed to be met. I've expressed that to many of them and they all felt them same with their first, but they had women show up for them in all the ways only a women who had walked before them could. And in turn, that's why they've been able to be so helpful for me... I'm just grateful I can now do the same moving forward! What a wild & beautiful ride it's been, hoping for a safe & healthy delivery and lots of snuggles this Christmas!! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share all of this with me. xoxox

    I have invested in Dazzle Dry in the last two years, It lasts me 6-9 days before chipping BUT i will say my nails have become very ridgy and peely. I do not understand why because I am taking better care of my nails more than ever, taking vitamins and collagen religiously. I am hoping its not the DD that is causing this because it is not cheap to get a good color collection idk, I am torn on whether I should continue with the product. Can't wait to hear your review of DD

    • @AmandaBellaa
      @AmandaBellaa  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much for sharing! 6-9 days is a fabulous result for a regular polish manicure. Interesting about the ridges and peeling...I'm not sure how that would be related to the polish, but good to know. It's definitely a pricey system! Hi Amanda! I left a comment but it didnt take.
    Regarding your hair...
    Women tend to cut their hair when having a baby and it has an aging effect to their appearance. When in doubt, do nothing! Shorter hair is not easier. You will have enough to do and think about just getting your body back to emotionally and psychologically familiar again. Be a great mom, but remember you are a woman first. So many great moms forget their (and their partners) basic needs. My comment comes from love. 💐

    • @AmandaBellaa
      @AmandaBellaa  8 місяців тому

      I love this SO much because my mind is very much in this place. I do not want to age myself, lose myself, or abandon any of the things I love about life right now. I know that life is going to completely change, and I am ready for it - but I want to try and maintain some kind of balance. It's so funny you mention the hair because I've been debating a healthy cut (because my hair really needs it) once he's born...but now I'm wondering if I should hold off...or just get a trim now haha. My pregnancy hair has been so good to me, I figured PP it won't be as nice and I may want to switch it up to look/feel healthier. We'll play it by ear. Definitely not doing anything too drastic anytime soon, but I love the "when in doubt, do nothing" hahahaha
