I didn't realize that you were expecting! Congratulations! FYI! I had to keep my nails short while my boys were in diapers. I accidentally scratched them with long nails and also with the diamond in my engagement ring when I was changingthem. Baby skin is so delicate! Also, the constant hand washing caused my nails to break easily, anyway. Enjoy growing them out while you can! It's all good! Your little boy will be worth it, whatever you do!
I had exactly the same issue with my nails my little finger and my thumb broke, and I was rocking really long nails which doesn't happen often. I'm actually painting my nails while watching you. I started with my autumn Manis last week as I've been in a very green theme mood , today I'm using Elysiun fields by Orly for the first time I bought it ages ago and it's been sitting in my untired box.

I just throw on a press on and secure it with gel base preferably, but nail glue works well also. It lasts 10 plus days, usually I have to actually remove it. I used to think it was too much of a pain, but the reality of my nails is that I keep them the same length from week to week, and making repairs or even replacing one from time to time is just maintenance.

And babies carry germs. And if I did that with long nails, I’d get sick.
I'm sorry about the broken nail. Isn't it typical? They go a long way, but when you are going somewhere (job journey, celebration etc) or having a mani, then they break. On the other hand, your shorter nails look smashing, I really love that color.

I think shorties are liberating! I just cut mine down too. You hit it exactly, dont have to think about being careful and yes love dark polish on shorties. Easier to take care of a baby with short nails too!
If you float the topcoat it should not pick up the colored polish. I think you addressed that in a previous video- all about the angle of the brush. Gorgeous color!
Can you review Dazzle Dry please? Goodness you will love it when your new little one arrives--- completely dries in 5 minutes - never chips. The most awesome product.

TBH I had to skip past you cutting your nails off. It was too heartbreaking 💔. I love the way my nails feel after I take them from long to short. It's nice to not have to worry about being so careful with them. Love the deep color on your skin tone.

I used to grow my nails out like you had in the beginning of this video. But I work in a restaurant now, so I have to keep mine trimmed. :(

In my opinion short nails are much better good looking en practical than long nail ... actually i hate long nail 😅 so no drama at all.
