FTC: this video is NOT sponsored. I received certain fragrances from the brand, with no obligation to post. All thoughts/opinions are my own!
I love leau papier. I do get the ink on fresh printed paper in the opening and that smell is my favorite!! It's that good book smell. Then as it dries I get the mimosa note and that clean musk. So good
I like it if my nose isn’t straight up on it. But when it’s on it there’s something sharp to my nose. Do you know what note or ingredient is?
I love and own Eau Duelle EdP, Fleur de Peau, Philosykos, Eau Papier, and Kyoto. Diptyque to me has a very retro natural smelling appeal. I also find that they meet their creative goal and story concept for the fragrances they create very well. There also is zero generic designer vibe about them and I appreciate that. All of their fragrances I own perform very decently too, in moderate European weather just as well as in the tropical weather I stay in. And finally, of course I love their aesthetic and their shopping experience (if you get to visit one of their boutiques). One of my favourite houses, easily.
I smelled Eau Des Sens in the wild lol. I walked past this girl at a bar several times and had to ask what she was wearing. It’s gorgeous on skin!
Good to know! The notes were so clever it was a fun one to try
L’eau Papier is my forever fragrance. I absolutely love it and will keep purchasing until the end of days. Would love to see an eau de parfum version of L’eau Papier. Orpheon is perfect for fall and winter. It reminds me of my favorite sweater.
I was so excited to see your review. Diptyque is one of my favorite houses.
I literally just bought Philosykos! I’m obsessed
I love Philosykos so much, but the lasting power is awful on me. It lasts no longer than two hours, even if I overspray. I blew through my bottle in no time. Unfortunately, for that reason I will not repurchase, but my god, what a wonderful scent! How is the longevity on you?
It’s sooo gooood, something about it after a shower before bed is juuust right!
@@marielle7505 I love it too! I just did a full day wear test with really good body care to ensure it lasts as long as possible, with no reapplication. I put it on at 8, and I’d say it was really potent until about 2pm. I found the scent especially faded when I went out to walk outside and grab lunch, aka very normal human functions a perfume should last through haha. It’s now 4pm and I can only very very very faintly smell it where I applied it on my shirt, but it’s virtually gone from my skin :( It lasted longer than I anticipated, but it’s definitely a perfume you finish very quickly as you mentioned!
@@desireeeeam I’m too scared to spray it before I sleep because I don’t want to finish it😂 but yes that would soooo hit the spot!!
It’s amazing :)
Bought L’eau Papier last week, it’s so pretty and easy to wear….I love my bottle of Eau duelle edt as well, Philosykos edt will be my next. 😊
I am obsessed with Orpheon. The best perfume in the world
Same ❤
And me too! It’s pure magic 🪄
What does it smell like? I have just bought 312 Saint Honoré BDK but do I need this?
@@dmac6704 they are different, Orpheon smells fresh, woody and powdery
@@dmac6704its really not easy to explain. Its not a smell thats comparable to other things. Its not crazy complex, but its very different and unique. Its ice cold powdery and floral, but warm at the same time. Its not fresh but its not heavy. Its dense but its not buttery. Its fizzy but not citrusy. Its clean but not sharp. Definitely smell this one before you get it! A few times, even. I had to smell it like 9 times on different days to get a hang of it. Its very long lasting but idk if the projection is great
If you’ve ever smelled fleur de peau, think of that but no musk and no sweetness. Fleur de peau smells slightly candied while orpheon smells more ‘boozy’ (but not in a dirty way). Slightly more masculine than fleur de peau but extremely unisex
Sens is one of the rare word in French where you actually pronounce the last letter! I'm glad you like Philosykos, it's my favorite!
Your French pronunciation is getting better and better !! Thank you so much for the video , it was much needed !💓
Thank you! Honestly I don’t attempt it most of the time but today I did idk why haha
I love orpheon! smells like a crystal shop to me, not in an incense way but in a herbal way, smells a bit like sherbet after a while on my skin. just absolutely gorgeous
@@roblin_3433 it’s so underrated. But maybe it’s a good thing haha
Agree 100% me too!
My favorite as well! I love to mix it with either tam dao or cycle 001 by Maison violet 👩🏾🍳
For me it's smells powdery and a bit like baby powder
I really loved L’Eau Papier when I smelled it at the perfume counter in Nordstrom. I’d love to own a FB one day!
Eau Rose EDP (my favorite) is the one with the artichoke note. You tested the EDT. Thanks for the video! I need to pick up L’eau Papier. I’ve been hedging for too long.
Gotcha! I’ll need to compare this to the EDP!
I think the notes of Eau Rose EDT and EDP are different. I’ve tested both and the EDT is lighter and more of a fresh young rose and doesn’t have the artichoke note whereas the EDP is stronger and more vegetal (like you are in a garden that has both roses and vegetables growing side by side). Both are lovely but very different!
I agree so much with this!! I personally like the EDT better 😊
I’m really happy you did this video!
I want super aware of this brand but recently saw it pop up!
you are so iconic to me 🙏
Thank you!!!💗
The Tilleul candle is so fresh and gorgeous.
Also shout out to the staff at Yorkdale who let you smell everything for as long as you want!
I really love Orpheon and fleur de peau combined 😊 smells so good!!
I loved Do Son for 5 month b4 I caved and bought it. L'EAU PAPIER is next!❤
Love Eau Duelle! And I definitely NEED both EDT & EDP as they are different enough❤ Volutes EDP is also fabulous & Benjoine
Interesting fact about Cassis. Thank you. Would love if you did an educational/fun fact video on perfumes/houses/the industry/etc. You are also so gorgeous and I appreciate your honesty.
I absolutely love fleur de Peau! I also love L’Eau Papier buttt I don’t feel like it’s full bottle worthy for me bc the longevity just isn’t there on my skin chemistry, but that could change so who knows! But Fleur de Peau lasts allll day on my skin! Wonderful video!
I would love a video on your favorite tea scents! I’ve sniffed a lot of the often recommended ones but am still on the hunt for the perfect fresh tea fragrance.
Thank you! There’s a couple Diptyque stores in my area and I always feel lost when I go in there, watching this for insight lol
So excited about this video! I recently smelled ilio and want to get it so bad since I'm getting married next July! Considering buying it a the start of next summer before my wedding to have as my wedding scent. But there are so many scents I want to smell from them especially leau papier
My favorite is eau duelle but orpheon is a close second. I think that you should try it because there’s a strong juniper note in it! It’s very powdery and unique so it could be polarizing.
Okay, so theres this AMAZING perfume store in paris called Officine Universelle Buly. they have a bunch of really interesting perfumes such as tomato, potato (my personal favorites from them are the cedar and amber perfumes)
Omg NO i just got home!!! I need to go next time!!!
When I first checked out this brand at a counter I thought I was a Fleur de Peau person through and through. However, I got to try Orpheon and now own Eau Capitale and these are now the real standouts for me and my taste.
I own Leau Papier l, Fleur de Peau and Eau des sens. I recently repurchased Orphéon after giving it away a couple of months ago. I missed the minty smell. Helps unclog my nose when I have a flu 😅
“Tam Dao” EDT is the best sandalwood fragrance IMO. I also like L’Eau Papier and Philosykos, but they’re definitely on the lighter side. :)
Try the philosykos edp! that is the one with the coconut note and one I think you would prefer, it is richer and has a slightly creamy dry down
I completely agree! I think that’s the one for me
My fave Diptyque is Fleur de Peau. As you said, it's a gorgeous iris, YSBB scent. Rounding out the top 3 are L'Eau Papier and Eau Duelle. I appreciate the artistry of their scents but don't vibe with the majority from this house. Feel like they're too grownup and maybe there's a disconnect because I'm not French? Haha. Bon voyage, so excited to see your "Emma in Paris" vlog!
I looove diptyque! My favourites Are fleur de peau, Eau duelle (i have the edt version) and l’eau papier. I also have orpheon, but that one needs to grow on me.
I would love to see the Paris vlog! And hopefully you Are visiting vilhelm perfumeries?🥰😬 i would die for your opinions on that perfume house!
I absolutely love Do Son. I really love the indolic tuberose but it has to have some oomph to it, and this is perfection!
Definitely not for everyone but I just can't feel unsexy wearing this fragrance. Lol
Eau Papier is really lovely but too mellow for me. I wish there was an extra it version!
Eau Duelle is vanilla perfection for me. I love vanilla but not super into gourmands. I have th Zara dupe, too. So good!
My other favorite is Tempo, which is nothing at all like what I usually gravitate to, but I love it so much. Very aromatic and patchouli forward, but it's not dirty patchouli. Worth smelling for sure!
Sounds like Eau des Sens could be for me. I will try to get a decant on Parfumo!
Btw I love your french pronounciation!
Great video! Have you tried eau moheli?
My signature scent is Eau des Sens. It’s my top favorite from the house followed by Ilio, l’eau Papier and philosykos EDP . Have fun in Paris.
Tam Dao EDP, that's it. The best straight up woody fragrance.
here you go! Just bought e bottle last week and cant stop smelling it!
Fleur de Peau is a beast on me. Projects like crazy for 6 hours. The middle notes on it has the powdery sweetness that’s almost subtly bubblegum-y to me
Tempo edp is my favorite ❤️
I LOVE leau papier and I remember you mentioning pencil shavings…I do kind of get that but I love it! This is my nighttime fragrance ❤❤❤
Emma I NEED you to smell Kenzo Amour - it has rice, tea and musk notes that I think you would LOVE
Eau Duelle (EDP) was my first niche perfume 14 years ago. I will test that L'Paper again after your discussion. I have their Essence 2016 limited edition in the black gem bottle. Love the scent, but hate that bulb atomizer. Diptyque has amazing body products as well. Have fun in Paris.
I have Eau Duelle EDT and I love it. It get very close to the skin but never completely dissipated it always catches my nose in small whips throughout the wear. I have Fleur De Peau EDP and Philosykos EDT on the way. They gave me samples of Eau Rose EDT amd Do Son EDT and I love both of those as well.
Fleur de peau gets me the most compliments ever, the longevity “for me” 8-16 hours max , the projection is amazing good projection arm lengs first 2 hours and then will be skin scent ( the person next to you will smell it ) , i work in the hospital as RN , i get compliment from one patient he was obsessed he was saying dude what is you are wearing!!! What is that i love it , he was angry idk why 😅😂, and then he said because when i go out of the room i can smell you in the ward that you pass by from here !! I was really really happy because i love this perfume so much, my first bottle almost done the dent is insane with this one …
Anyway i just want to tell you and everyone my story with this lovely fragrance… and forgive me for my English its not my first language
Have a great day ❤
I currently have Do Son edp, Eau Duelle edp, Eau Capitale, Fleur de Peau. Love them all! Ilio was really good!
Mmm Eau Duelle EDT makes me so happy
I adore Eau Duelle edp and edp, are in my top 10 fragrance for "life", I also really like Fleur de peau... Is on my wish list
I love L’eau Papier and Ilio. Next on my list is Fleur de peau. ♥️
Oh I thought Orpheon was Phoebe Bridgers scent?
I've heard that the Eau Rose EDT and EDP smell different, with the latter smelling more luscious and complex than the former. I own the EDP, and I LOVE IT. I was meeting a friend once and I put some on me, and she's really into perfume. She caught a whiff and immediately said 'you smell so green!' 🌹
!!!! The Diptyque CAFE CANDLE is the BEST candle release and I'm so upset that I can't buy it anymore. PSA: It smells way better and more intense once you used it one or two times. I'm a gourmand lover and this candle is a masterpiece. I went through so many "coffee" candles from other brands and disliked all of them because they smelled like creamy cappuccino+croissant. Diptyque's Cafe smells like walking into a modern/high end cafe. You get a whiff of their delicious baked goods while they grind coffee beans next to you!
Do son is my favorite from the house. I also like vetyvero, eau duelle and l'eau papier. I do prefer their eau de toilette to their eau de parfum. And they last long too
okay so i was just at the diptyque store in berlin and i smelled everything they had. most of their perfumes i either did not like or they just didn’t stick out to me (these are all of their most popular scents for a reason LOL). i already had blind bought philosykos a few months ago was was obsessed with it, im actually wearing it now because i love to wear it after a bath. i even have their philosykos soap. BUT in the store i finally smelled l’ombre dans l’eau and was totally in love with it. i really love green smelling perfumes. i have samples of almost all the ones in this video as well as orpheon and they’re definitely good, but like i said they just don’t stick out to me (i probably just need to revisit them). but philosykos and l’ombre dans l’eau are some of my favorites ever! i actually remember on a livestream a few months ago i asked your opinion on philosykos and you said you didn’t like it so im glad you revisited it! i was so excited to see this video on my feed, i’ve been hoping you’d do one for so long. you’re by far my favorite perfume channel 🫶🏻
Oyedo is my all time favorite
I love Fleur De Peau! It actually lasts on me for 8+ hours most days, but I find that perfumes with iris last really long on me. It’s exactly what I wanted Glossier You to smell like!
Do Son Eau de Parfum is one of my all time favorite fragrances, best representation of a tuberose fragrance.
Followed! Also have you smelled Orpheon by Diptyque? Personally I love it, but I don’t see many talk about it
What does it smell like to you? I’m female wondering if it’s very Masculine like Tam Dao
have you ever had the chance to smell their leau trois edt? its my favorite 😏.
My initial reaction to eau des sens was the same as yours. But like a week ago I arbitrarily started layering it with a dark leather vetiver scent, and like my opinion 180'd.
PhiloSykos edt is my summer scent
It’s so summery and green!
Love Philosykos EDT and EDP and Eau Duelle EDP. Want to keep trying more buuuut not really sure my next direction with the brand. So many options that are sooo catching, but idk. I guess at the end of the day, part of me is a little underwhelmed? To where I don’t actively go and buy? Not even in a mean way, it’s just like FFFF I NEED THAT!
Orphéon !! love it!
Yeah! It’s beautiful!
My favourite so far is l'Eau Papier, i have a big fat crush on this fragrance but the price is painful... Also the longevity of l'Eau Papier is just two-three hours on my skin, so, that too is a little bit painful for the price.... If I buy it one day, I think I'd prefer to wear it in the beginning of fall, it reminds me some memories of reading books,i'like it on a cosy scarf while wandering in the woods, smells a bit nostalgic,... I love fragrance that tell me a story ,or when I can see a clear picture of the idea behind,so fascinating to imagine a perfumer choosing the right notes to paint this particular atmosphere....
I just got back from Paris and at Galleries Lafayette, I ended up buying Eau Lente. It is incredible! Cinnamon, which ends up reading as a spicy carnation on me. Insanely long lasting and elegant.
l'eau Papier, ilio, L'eau de neroli, eau des sens, tam dao and vetyverio are my fav. lol my favorite perfume house by far. I find Eau des sens smells EXACTLY like walking past a flowering/fruiting citrus tree - hyper realistic. Weirdly had a similar experience with Papier but I only had a little sample, not a full bottle, so I think there is just something about it that the nose needs time with to get past that sharp Iso e Super.
Their candles are fabulous. The scent lasts FOREVER.
Would love to see a video on maison margiela replica!!!
I hoping you had Orphéon for review but I guess have to find another video on it. I always though diptyque as an "Influencer" favorite brand but it has very niche aesthetic but with the high end price tag.
I love l’ombre. LOVE a green scent l’eau rose was my signature when I was younger but since it went off a little bit it put me off so much when I smelled it and realised that I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase. I’ve been on the hunt for a different green rose scent but haven’t found one I like yet. Any recs?
I have a question, have you done the scent chance by Chanel? I own it and I would really like to know what you think about it and what it smells like to you!❤
I have the café candle lit rn and I’m obsessed but didn’t know it’s a limited edition 💔
Do Son EDP and Eau Rose EDP are amaaaaazing and much better than the EDTs
I love Philosykos edp more than the edt.
You have such interesting choice of words often times. But to me, as English is not my first language, I don't always understand. Tv static note? What does that mean?
To me the hype is mostly about packaging.
I enjoy most of them but there is no real love there, apart from eau duelle probably but…I don‘t know😅 nice review anyway❤️
Philosykos is my favorite fragrance ive ever smelled.
Do you like the EDP or EDT!
@@perfumerism EDT, because i like the green notes, the EDP is a bit deeper and richer
I know someone who owns the one with veviter but I’ve never smelled!
Eau Rose, Eau Duelle & Leau Papier are the only perfumes ill ever need. Orpheon is beautiful but at times too strong for me.
would be interested to hear what you think of Etat Libre d'Orange perfumes if you have time to visit the Paris store... have been wanting to try fils de dieu for a long time
Eau Rose edt doesn't have the note of artichoke. My favs from eau rose edt and eau capitale.
i bought a sample of eau duelle edp and it smells soooo much like vanilla insensee from atelier cologne (that i wore a LOT in 2016) and it honestly triggered me HAHAHA
Ong yes the vanilla insensee triggers me too LOLL i guess i need the EDT
Thank you, I have been looking for a replacement of the now discontinued Vanilla insensee. I’ll have to get a sample of eau duelle edp.
I was in the diptyque store and was smelling fleur de peau and honestly it smells exactly like Glossier You and I mentioned it to the sales person and she looked at me like a sommelier would look like if I compared a bottle of vintage wine to Barefoot 😂😂😂
I love this story 😂😂😂
Love the bottle design.
I wanna like this house, but seriously can’t.
Some note just not sitting right with me.
Yeah I agree
Thank you for your reviews. Just joined your insta!
Thank you so much Emily! Happy to have you✨
I love philosikos. But I just love anything, ANYTHING fig.
You remind me a but of Shifra Kornfeld (she could be your older sister or aunt).
Can you do this with replica? :)
I love L’eau papier but was not reallly impressed with the other scents I smelled in the store
Can u pls review ghost ❤
The brand? Or is this a fragrance? I haven’t heard of it!
@@perfumerism they make perfumes that I thought would be great for u to review ☺️
It's so weird but I really don't hear much about this brand. I want to love them because their scents are really good, but I'm just not sure I've found the one yet. Eau Rose is beautiful but feels a bit too vintage for me. I've heard good things about Eau Moehelli..
I also bought this Discovery set of EDTs some time ago and couple samples and I'm so dissapointed with this brand :(. From the Discovery set I only liked Eau Rose and it was like, no a love. The rest of them was not it. Do son for me is disguisting. I don't know why but for me it is sharp and metalic. Eau de sens was gradma smell, philykos is milky which i don't like and the last the ombre one is too green.(Like squishing fresh leaves in your hand kind of smell). I also tested eau duelle (too medicine), Fleur de Peau(smells like old make up powder), tam dao (nice as candle but not a perfume as it smells like literal wood) and like 4 or 5 more. I didn't give up because i wanted find perfume for me from them because i love their bottles 😂. And finally Leau Papier and Orpheon are the ones i liked and I decided to buy Leau Papier.
I've never find anything that suits me in that brand. And it's a shame because I love their bottles. I find everything too fleeting, nothing sticks. It's cloudy almost, like water. Fleur de peau is interesting.
I agree! That’s how I’ve always felt
Dyptique is that french woman.
Eau de sens smells so dusty on me!!
Your celebrity parents would totally be Billy Crudup and Jennifer Jason Leigh. So blessed!
What a kind comment, thank you!❤
commenting because of the french pronounciation! :D
Oh, dear, this video is a straight up advertisement video.. what a shock...
What makes you think so? This is not a paid promotion, I have never done an ad on my YT! 💗
I wish I liked patchouli because it’s in so many new perfumes. I don’t know why but it just hits wrong. :(
that eau rose edt for first hours smells nice, like fresh rose, but after it turns into some kind of granny face cream scent. not a fan.
I enjoyed your video. But please don't compare Diptyque to JM.... I love D, and really dislike JM, and think they have very different products and ideas. I wouldn't use Dityque candles though, because they are made of unhealthy ingredients and are toxic to inhale like most candles. Most of these perfumes are their newer ones, I like the older ones. Some of which discontinued. I actually associate Diptyque with slightly Gothic, slightly strange, slightly old world. Maybe it's their Paris stores that make me feel that.
