    I think that this "2x2x2x2 hypercube" is similar to the regular 16-cell (hexadecachoron). Imagine each tetrahedral cell of the 16-cell is colored with 4 colors. (Using 8 colors in total.) One rotation moves 8 cells of 16.
    but I can't solve any Rubik's cube. I'm a mere 4D fan.
    (JPN) 正16胞体に似ていると思う。どの胞も4色に塗って(全部で8色使う)、8胞ずつ動かせるようにしておけばいい。自分には解けないが。

    Wow, Really nice. I have tried this before without much success, but what I found hardest was keeping track of orientation, since in 4d corners have two axis of rotation, making them pretty confusing.

      I memorized each piece with 3 letters: one for the location of the piece, one for the sticker in the buffer, and one for the sticker on the U side of the buffer

    Nice! Wasn't sure how long my WR would last. I don't plan to try again until someone (possibly me eventually) adds keyboard controls. Also, slightly surprised that you stuck to the default colour scheme. No way i was going to do that, I used a custom one that's basically standard 3D colour scheme with pink/purple added.

      I tried a bunch of times to change the colors using a text file with the hex codes but it didn’t seem to work.

    try mosaic cube

  • @soccerblue4444
    @soccerblue4444 4 роки тому

    You should try to solve a 3 by 3 blindfolded but there are letters on every tile of the cube that are randomly generated to try to mess you up

    • @soccerblue4444
      @soccerblue4444 4 роки тому

      Or a randomly-generated color per tile, I'm not really sure how these things would work but it'd be cool you'd probably be able to figure something out

    • @soccerblue4444
      @soccerblue4444 4 роки тому

      Or you can get a random scramble and only see what the scramble looks like not the scramble itself (the letters) and try to Blind solve into that

    Is that 2x2x2x2 the same as Melinda’s 2x2x2x2? Can you use the same method/algs?

    • @MelindaGreen
      @MelindaGreen 4 роки тому +3

      Yes you *can*. The question is whether you should. That's because many twists will require more set-up and undo moves than anyone is likely to want. That said, most solvers use a reduction approach that starts mainly intuitively, and then letting them finish much like solving two 2x2x2s. The solution videos are here: superliminal.com/cube/2x2x2x2/#solutions and several of them are in tutorial form if you are interested in attempting it. Note that it has still never been blind solved.

    • @volking6338
      @volking6338 4 роки тому +1

      To fix a twisted piece you want to first put any side of that piece into the buffer. You also wanna memorize where the side you put in the buffer needs to go. Fixing a piece should be 2 letters for example
      K-V

    • @MelindaGreen
      @MelindaGreen 4 роки тому +4

      Yes, this is a no-macro solution, but it's not the first. Matt Sheerin's 2017 was the first no-macro BLD . See ua-cam.com/video/UbLPxuSDRk8/v-deo.html. But just so everyone knows, Nan Ma's 2011 solve was the first 2^4 blind solve ever. The first BLD 3x3x3x3 is still up for grabs.
