Lorex vs Uniview 8MP Turret - Image Quality (day & night)

- I installed two security cameras outside our office and compared the video quality between them. Both cameras did an excellent job, but I found the Uniview looked sharper during the day, with less ghosting at night.
The Lorex camera also had some false marketing tricks up its sleeve. For example, on the website they claim it has Color Night Vision (with the help of ambient light). By that metric, all security cameras have color night vision including those made 20 years ago. Their website also claims a heavy-duty aluminum exterior, but we found that to be false. A large portion of the Lorex camera's housing is made from plastic.
