I know you retail your products so if you cannot give us this recipe can you tell us what is needed for a basic soap recipe? I recently started a hair and skin care line and want to add soaps. Why cut off the ends of each loaf? I thought it was because with a multicolored swirled soap the very edges can look so different from the middle. I wish I had soap that smelled like banana bread!
The end pieces are always just a bit wonky. They have curved edges, gaps, air pockets, etc., due to the way the freezer paper lays in the mold. I just prefer for my cut bars to be all the same. Plus, as I mentioned in the video, I just love having samples to send out to my customers. I just all works out.
Hi, I never made cp before, been watching for years, when working with milk, they use the ice method, but you just pour yours in and it blends in so nice, can you explain it...I want to make goat milk soap? Thanks so much.
She’s not using full milk. If you use full milk and no water you have to freeze the milk and slowly mix the lye into the frozen milk cubes. This is so you don’t burn the milk or cuddle the milk. If you only use partial Milk you can do what she does pour so much of the liquid that you hold back from the water for the milk into the oil. I hope this explains it and doesn’t get you confused.
Rae had a great answer for you. I don't use much. In my batches, I'm happiest with 1-2% of the oil weight. Even though I use a percentage of the oil weight to get the number, I am actually removing that amount from the water portion.
@@lab3789 if you want take the amount away from the water amount, remember that you always have to keep the lye and the water at the same amount.
