That crazy cause i thought the same think, talks a lot but not saying anything
You put way too many letters in the word way.
That’s a nice thing, he tells us every thing :)
It's not the amount of his talking, it is how he gets repetitive and keeps talking redundantly.
A smart man once told me, " I'm to poor to be cheap"
My computer is more or less his test bench he put the card into, only my AIO is the 2 fan model. I built it with some smart shopping, such as taking advantage of sales. It has every feature one could hope for, and I'm not rich.
If you buy quality stuff without spending more than you have, you won't need to replace it quickly. It's well worth a well-planned investment.

What I learned from my dad was never go cheap. Look for the best value but that does not mean cheap. Paying extra money for a better quality product is always a better value and in many cases cheaper long term.
It's not always better value to pay more, there is a point where there is too much diminishing return for it to be better value.

- It’s simple, they sell it to people who want to watercool them, and until they do, the card can still function in some sort.
My job’s done here.
I'm told some people like how blower cards kind of exhaust their hot air out the rear too.
Dunno dude, many big brands including ASUS and Gigabyte have blower models of the 2080 Ti. Was even thinking of getting one myself for my mini-ITX build - it cannot fit thick cards, only mainly blowers, and in my case it's better to blow the hot air out the back than circulate it in the small chassis.
Well i mean there's gotta be some rich guy out there who uses it as a heater.
Tim Murray true. For some builds it makes sense, but a card in that caliper, even Nvidia didn’t make blower models for their founders edition ones.

80c shouldn't even be an issue for a 2080 Ti. That temp isn't unheard of, especially when gaming at high settings 4k.

@@pharkasj True, not sure whats the max junction temp for the memory is but my 3080 hits a max of 80 degrees with memory at 105-109 under full sustained load
I always like the theory behind blower coolers..i really hope someone makes a good, potentially aftermarket, blower one day
they are usually loud. Blowers generally call for one fan on the side opposite the exhaust, so that limitation means high rpm to compensate, and thus a vacuum cleaner. As beneficial as the theory sounds, some heat in the case generally is a worthwhile trade off.
In my opinion however older GTX founder's edition blowers were sexy as fuck.
Implies yeah lol
They actually sell kit that you can add 3 fans to it.
Guillermo Pando That simplified look on the rtx 2080 ti isn’t exactly ‘elegant’ but that’s subjective. I agree the 1080 ti FE looks god awful, but the cards prior to it actually look very nice. Okay so I'm seeing comments about people suggesting NOT to buy prebuilt computers. With me being new to gaming computers and not really having any knowledge on how to build one, I decided to get a prebuilt one anyways. It's an Aurora R9, and I chose to get a i7-9700k processor and a 2060 RTX Super GPU. I did go with the liquid cooling which was recommended for the higher end processors. Do you think I'll be good in shape or is there any concerns to have? Also I heard about the possibilities of having to change out the liquid in the coolers, but I know with certain liquid coolers it doesn't require maintenance. Can somebody with good and experienced knowledge give me some insight on this? I hope I didn't make too dumb of a decision or that I won't have to learn the hard way. I spent about $1700 on this computer so I can only hope it'll be worth it.
It looks like the hybrid models with the liquid cooling removed.

Maybe, those are one of those cards that when they heat up a little, They start messing up the memories boards.

I love the blower cards. Makes more sense to blow the heat out of the back of the case rather than circulating it around the case.
Same. The problem comes with getting enough air through the card with that one fan.
unless you have a case capable of easily venting the heat, then dumping it in the case is significantly more efficient, if pcs were wider than they were tall, blower cards would probably make more sense.
How much do you have to spend at Canadian tire to get 1100.00 cnd dollars?

Moral of the story, never buy a pre built system, or parts from a pre built system
not necessarily the case. most prebuilts, either from origin or whatever, have off the shelf components like a gpu from msi or a cooler from bequiet or whatever. oem prebuilts are the things to look out for as they usually modify the components (the cooling solution in most instances and i dont know why). so one might be better off buying a system from a "3rd party" company and in most cases save a few bucks.
I mean if i get something for 500$ cheaper and just have to install a cooler on it... If you people are to rich for that and dont know how to put a cooler on a gpu... Nvidia can help you with that easily.

I have a Dell RTX 2070 Super and the blower died, same symptoms, wondering if I should attempt to repair or just move on. Already have a replacement but hate to toss the card.
some of them have bad heatsinks. I've had three two good ones, one that that heat sink was just bad on.
I've got one of these exactly and paid a quarter of the cost.. Relaced the paste and installed some fan curve software and full throttle never goes above 65 Celsius.
Spoiler : He'll putthe custom cooler in the next video
I was already preparing a comment to say this looks like an Alienware model before you said it. You can't fit anything bigger than this in the Aurora Chassis, and it's really only intended to hold blower style cards due to space and airflow restrictions.
I've heard these cards are configured to work best with Alienware's own firmware, but sometimes you get a unit that needs updating and tweaking before the card understands how to run properly even in an Alienware's system. That's just what I've heard. I don't work in the computer industry, and I don't know nearly as much as professionals like you.
If this 2080 ti was water cooled would it still have heat issues?
On that card, your getting 78c at 2500rpm fan. Should I re-paste my Titan Xp blower, getting 78c @ 4600rpm

You put 1199 instead of 1099
1099 cad to USD is $835 not $918 ;)
I swear that thing is just a hairdryer in disguise.
I've bought a brand new Alienware with RTX2060 recently, when I opened the case and discovered that the expected RTX card is infact a single-fan, significantly compact card I was really surprised. I've never used RTX cards before I spent extra 200+ Euros for the card, I didn't run a test for it's performance however I can tell how it performs simply from my real time rendering programs, so now I ordered a founders version of higher specs for an upgrade. Dell produces graphics cards themselves for their pc builds including Alienwares.
I know this video is a couple years old so this may go into the abyss. Did you install the backplate on that or did it come attached? They don’t come with attached backplates so I was curious if the first owner added that or Dell? I have this exact PNY card and I think it has performed great. I tried to put and EK backplate on myself and it had issues heat and crashing issues like that.
It’s even uglier without a backplate 😂 however when the card is set to custom control the loud ass blower fan (increased by 70%) to keep it cool and does a great job. I’ve even overclocked it 2k + with 0 issues. I think you got unlucko on this one from the seller.
Would love to see another video of this card and to see what you can do to it. That's why people love your channel, because you're not afraid to "go there."
Keep up the great work!
Ouch! Timmy Joe. You Know Better. All you had to do was give a shout and I could've got you a Aorus Extreme 2080ti for $1100. or a much nicer ASUS TURBO Blower Model for $900. THE TURBO is pretty decent for a blower model. A Good 2080ti should be getting about 60fps in Port Royal. That thing wasn't even breaking 40fps. That's horrid.
I think it’s a blower model with molded case airflow channels that make it get sufficient airflow. Without the molded airways airflow decreases immensely
Blower models with air intake at the front are perfect for data centre servers that have lots of fans that push air from front to back. I'm in the market for a few more for my work's 10 GPU capable Supermicro supergpu servers.
There's nothing wroung just water cool it I just finished going through all of this myself
Ditto, slap a kraken G12 and an AIO
@@munozyoshi literally, it may even be cheaper
This is what I did a few months back. I got the evga 2080 Ti XC Ultra for a little under 1k used. The kraken and AIO was an additional 100 and it's been running smoothly ever since.
I did the same with mine, runs like a champ now.
@@munozyoshi really only 100$?
You can request a refund regardless of what the seller states eBay’s policy doesn’t allow buyers to get scammed.
Ebay allows buyers to abuse the system, even though it is their fault and there is nothing wrong with the item. :)
@@worldhello1234 uh, no. an it is "eBay".
christopher james He’s actually somewhat correct , eBay is a very buyer dominant platform which allows some abuse in the system.
@@Derosier. I have about 2000 transactions on eBay. The point is that there are a magnitude more shady sellers than there are shady buyers.
The reason eBay tends to side with buyers is this: without the confidence that you are protected there is no eBay. There will always be sellers. But without demand there is nothing.
Omg water cool it already!
Can anyone tell me if I can run a 2080 ti windforce 11gb and an i9 9900kf with a Corsair 650W CV650
Reminds me when I was a beginner as a kid and overclock my GeForce 8400 gs to 900mhz
Put a custom cooler on it, you are the guy to do it!
Make us proud! 🥳
6:43 "We have a huge $1100 issue here".
Yeah, you do 🤣
But would it make sense to buy the cheapest 2090 ti if you plan swapping the built in cooler for something third party anyways?
