Barracuda Drag Car: New Torque Converter Stall Test, Miniature Version, and More Improvements!

- Its been close to 5 weeks since my last outing with my 1968 Plymouth Barracuda bracket car. Since then I swapped out my spare transmission and converter for the Race built @coperacingtrans 727, which was rebuilt by Drew.
My torque converter was rebuilt after being damaged at last year's #nonamenationals. I got it back with propt service from @mikeeiben3430 at Top Line Converter.
Also, I purchased a 1/64 scale replica of my racecar from Vic @DiecastDreamCustoms. This model came in and needed an unboxing. Click on his link to watch the building process of the car.
Lastly, I had to test my new stall converter and transmission before hauling the car to the racetrack.

Thanks for the plug buddy, sorry about the jets, I didn’t know if we’d play with them on the dyno since I jetted it up to compensate for the scoop after it was at the race track. I’ll get OUR jets back over there asap!

That miniature is very impressive. I felt physical pain when you were explaining the transmission install (twisting, unbolting...dear lord 🤣). But it sounds ready for the track!!

I’ve watched so many of your videos on my tv and I couldn’t put a thumbs up or comment cause I need to sign in to google on tv but I will watch all of your videos on my phone because ther all great videos tha way I can give you thumbs up I’m signed in to my phone your videos are simply the best haven’t seen a bad video I got a question the river rat thing how did that come about it does make sense cause your driving a barracuda which is a fish but it looks a lot like my 67 fs 383 especially wen you run the centre lines I miss that car a lot spent many weekends at the drags racing it only 13s high but still a lot of fun so hopefully I can do something next year with this 440 six pac I have truck or a body if I can find a cheap a body if not I guess truck it’s all about the dollars especially now that I’m 65 but I will figure it out lol

Just a question about putting together front end after rebuild. Do you tighten the upper arms and lower control arm with weight? I'm about to put my front end together in my dart sport 360. I want to do things right. Thank you.
Unbelievable that’s typically how it goes. You want full weight and all four wheels and tires on ground before tightening uppers. That’s how I see my alignment shop do it.

Looks to be that converter lock up is spot on. Was a bit confused on what you said about Jamie showing up at the NNN as that's a bit of a drive for him. Plus the only race car he has is the demon. The garbage can cuda is a ways off from what I hear. The die cast is way cool lol got to get one of my 72 roadrunner lol doubt that can be even done. I saved this video for the great info on parts.

It’s absolutely going to happen this year. Not yesterday. It was about 80 degrees outside and the air was terrible. I also forgot my scoop seal at home and lost 1-2 mph. The good news is, I could basically paint the number on the window for the day.

Hi Mopar Joe who did your transmission? It's reverse manual non trans brake?
What's your converter stall?
Your breather hose connects were?
My brother built the transmission. I do not run a trabsbrake because it would change the class that I would race in. The converter flashed to around 5,200-5,400. The breather hose goes past the header collector on the drivers side, in to an evac system. The passenger side has my 02 bung.
@@JustMoparJoe you only have the breather hose on one side the driver side! You run a o2 sensor on passenger side

Thanks brother. I was at Newport yesterday. The green swinger was my dads car. I’ve definitely still got it. I’ll sell the fleet before it gets sold! It will run again someday!
