    This blacked out Speed is the best. Still dreaming that they release some kind of a Speed "ND", a move similar to Wilson's Pro Staff RF97A.

    • @argoperdana6823
      @argoperdana6823 3 роки тому

      @John BUI it's not a liquidmetal radical tour anymore, since he changed to the 18x19 string pattern, it's a completely custom mold made for him. The feel will be completely different but there's quite a market for a stick with that specs, you know...

    • @argoperdana6823
      @argoperdana6823 3 роки тому

      @John BUI yep, still a really similar mold to the LM radical, but slightly extended, different string pattern, and some weight reduction

    • @F4BIO771
      @F4BIO771 3 роки тому +1

      the more realistic thing that they can do is a Speed Tour(?) similar to Basilashvili stick, more classic with smaller head size and thin beam.
      Djokovic raquet is too far from a Speed.
      And obv a Gravity blacked out

    I’m inspired by your torso turn on your FH with the Speed Pro! The MP when I first got back into the game was too powerful, the Blade 100L seemed better suited for control. I’m not sure why power would ever be needed for a beginning player, but different strokes different folks.

    I play with the speed 360+ MP, very good racquet but there is one drawback : you lose control and stability when you rip the ball. But if you like to play smoothly with a lot of variety it is the right racquet to go for.

    In the individual reviews (of the White versions) you indicated you preferred the MP over the Pro. In this (Black versions) update you noted you preferred the Pro over the MP. What caused the change in preference, just more play or was there a mix-up when you were referring to the frames in this video (as to preference)? Thanks for the update along with the previous white version individual reviews as always interesting to get your take.

    I have gone off the Head Speed MP as too light for me in the head so can’t swing as well as with my Pure Strike 16 19 decided to go back to Pure Strike and buying the 18 20 version again after selling it! Selling both my Head Speeds as don’t enjoy playing them prefer more classic feel of Pure Strike with 98 sq in head. Interesting journey. Was thinking of getting Wilson Blade but having listened to other reviews it seems this is less powerful than my Pure Strike and I have no issues with control or touch with it so don’t want a less powerful racket. I have used Babolats for years so now sticking with them. I think the Head Speed MP is overrated good for beginners or improvers only IMO. Thanks for your review.

    • @tennnis498
      @tennnis498 2 роки тому

      That’s pretty harsh. I’ve been playing with the Pure Strikes since they came out. I had an Aero that was great for singles but it hurt my arm. Considering the Speed MP because I’d like a 100 sq in. that doesn’t hurt my arm. I’ve not had problems playing with the Strike, and string according to how my arm feels.

    Back in Sept 2013, HEAD released a special edition of the 1st gen graphene speed pro (Youtek Graphene Speed Pro) which was completely black including the text. That one looked pretty cool 😎. My first proper racquet and switching from ProKennex Ace (the late 80’ies version) 🤣

    I have the pro. They are awesome. I used Volkl Super g 10 before weighted up to 325 strung but lacked predictable response. These give the response i need. If I don’t get the result it is me. Not the racquet that’s to blame. Nice big sweet spot. Not too big. Just right. If you like me have played with head of old (95 sq inch 18/20) but you yourself are getting older but not too old these frames are a newer updated versions of my old radical tour mp. Lighter. More powerful. A bit bigger sweetspot. Still very predictable. Plush feel. Feels more like a player’s racquet than a pure drive. I love speed pro. Getting three more and a lifetime of grommets. It’s that good for me.

  • @cliveburks

    Thanks very informative. I have bought Speed MP yet to use on court feels good in my net. Currently play with Babolat Pure Strike 98 16/19 also bought 18 20 hardly used as may resell. Cant decide what I think of the Pure Strike muted feel like and don’t like! Good for serve once I got used to it. Occasionally flies out on my forehand which is annoying but probably partly or mostly? down to my technique on the particular shot. Like the options of the Head racquets in past always used Babolat will see if I change or get my technique improved and stick with Pure Strike like it’s power and control even if control is of a muted kind

    If the Speed Pro in black colour-way had existed in 2019, I might have picked this over the Gravity Tour. I can’t use white racquets due their distracting prominence in my peripheral vision. Good sticks, even if Djoker doesn’t use one.

I still use the Youtek Speed Mp315 18/19 from 10years ago (315g us, 20mm beam, flex:65) I was wondering if you would do a video comparing generations of certain rackets? Also, what are you thoughts on my stick? I have now added lead everywhere pretty much so it's up to 348g with two overgrips, 7points hl, full bed 1.30 head lynx @60lbs. Great for the one hander but hard work at the net (where I am found very rarely haha!) Keep up the great work dude :) Us Brits have had a long wait to play tennis and your videos help keep my sane!
