I (Grisha) used to play with the speed pro actually. Really liked the racket and played with it for 2 years. Then I tried the gravity and switched to it, cuz I loved the control and feel.
yes Niki! Loved the way he played with a pro staff and he did it again. This is a fire video. The intro is me when I get a new racket. My racket comes in, I go to test it and BOOM scratches first day. How does Volkl Cyclone differ from strings like luxilon adrenaline or maybe like a string that I use: solinco hyper g.
Hahahaha massive thanks! We're all like this when we get new rackets. The cyclone us a little more rough compared to the Adrenaline and the access to spin is way better.
Hi Grisha, totally irrelevant to the racquet review, but I really like your forehand technique. Have you always had more of a modern style as opposed to the “next gen” style that is all the hype now on tour and with coaches? And do you have any thoughts on next gen forehands?
Hey! Honestly this is a really interesting topic worth a long discussion. I'd even dedicate a podcast to it 😉 Honestly speaking though, I've always been adjusting my forehand and my game in general, based on my own feelings and preferences, without minding the "trends". If I had to describe it all, we'd have to spend a day in the comments section 😂
No problem 😉 The speed mp compared to the Ezone gives you more spin potential, while the Yonex outperforms it in terms of feel and stability. Talking power, they're both really powerful. Pure Strike is a different racket. More control and feel oriented, rather than power.
It's more similar to the Pure Drive. Actually very similar. I would say that the PD offers more power though. The Pro Staff is a very different racket, oriented more towards control and feel rather than power and spin.

Well, Areg does actually use the stock speed mp. He likes it apparently 🤨. Al uses a pure drive but he has weight on it and so do I (Grisha), my racket unstrung weights at 325. You're right most of the pros tend to use heavier rackets. Although there are many professional players who prefer a light racket for a better maneuverability.
Amazing video guys, subscribed and liked. I just got my head speed mp 360+ (yeah I'm kinda late to the party lol) but still holds up really nicely. (idk anthing about strings) Anyways having a blast with this stick even with old strings that need to be changed
How about a review of the Babolat Pure Strike, not sure about Head racquets as they all feel like harsh plastic expect for the Gravity which has a nice feel.
Review on the Pure Strike is coming up soon! Head rackets, well have you tried the Radical or the Prestige series? Those rackets feel great. Talking about Gravity, feel was one of the main reasons I've (Grisha) chosen that racket as my main frame 😉
@@gladiatorstribe Must be the strings as the Radical felt blah, I'm waiting for a Gravity Tour 16/19 string pattern but Pure Strike has good feel for the ball.
Radical mp is definitely leaning more towards control. Big part of it is it's smaller 98 head size. You won't get that spin potential with the Radical. There's more feel and it's less forgiving. It doesn't mean that it's a wooden stick though. It's somewhere in the middle on the control-power spectrum.
Massive thanks! Vcore provides a better feel due to the smaller head size and isometric head shape. Also less spin and less power than the Head Speed MP. The Vcore is quite a bit more stable on impact however.
@@gladiatorstribe thanks!! I've been using the speed mp and thinking to switch to the vcore 98 because I don't feel the ball in off center shots. Also I have the same problem with the flat serves than grisha. Keep the good work and I also would love to see a practice match between you guys.
@@maximozernotti655 Thanks a lot!! We're planning to do something like an exhibition match at some point! Great to know that you'd like to see something like that! Do try it out before purchasing it if you can 😉
Great review again guys. Do you consider these are fairly light rackets for players of your (high) level or is it a new zeitgeist for modern players? Anyway, what's your experience with gut strings and gut hybrids? Are gut strings worth it for the feel? Cheers.
Yep, for sure, especially me (Grisha), as you might've noticed it's light for me. Most of the rackets are too light in their stock form and require customization for my taste. We all add weight to our rackets, except for Areg. Gut strings do give you really good feel but they're certainly not worth their price unless your budget is unlimited.
Thanks a lot! A review on the Pure Strike 98 is going to happen soon for sure. We're gonna review the Strike 100 at some point too, just can't promise it's going to be one of the next ones.
Hello guys. I am really struggling between choosing Wilson blade 104 v7 or Head speed graphene +360 mp. I like to play more flat shot From the baseline than topspin(more power and control). What is Ur advice
If I (Grisha) were you, based on what you've explained I would go with the blade. It has a thinner beam and that helps with control. While the massive head provides a lot of power. Although those rackets are not made for a flat playing style. The speed is quite the opposite actually, made for power and spin. If you want a noticeable amount of power though, these are quite good options. Do keep in mind that the blade is pretty light and suits beginner-intermediate players.
Thanks guys! really enjoyed this review and the great hitting! 🎾 I'm a big fan of the Speed Pro! I think of them as a real workhorse racquet, I have a few of the MP's for days when I need something lighter or for a hit and giggle 🤭 Thanks again
Hahahah thank you!! Yes, you're right, the MP is made exactly for that and the pro is definitely another awesome racket if you're looking for something less extreme in terms of power.
Nice review, some good shots in the video! I've got to agree with Grisha, these types of rackets play better with some lead added in the hoop. A lot of spin-oriented frames I've tested feel like they don't handle pace as well as they could with some customization. I would recommend testing out the Diadem FS Elevate Tour 98 in the future, small company and I like their Solstice Power string a lot as well
It's great having someone on the same page with me 😂 Cuz Areg seems to not agree with you and I. Not the first time someone recommends a Diadem racket to us. Are they really that good?
It's definitely a good racket to try, like the Tecnifibre 305 you reviewed recently it's foam-filled so it's really comfortable on the arm despite being slightly more stiff. 16x20 string pattern which is one of my favorites, but it's relatively open (compared to the VCORE 95 for example) so you can still get some good spin on the ball. Excellent feel, good control. Would recommend trying it out!
Then it's between the pure drive and the speed. Both provide loads of power and aren't heavy. The Pure Drive though offers a bit more power than the speed.
@@gladiatorstribe That's what I wanna find out, I really don't know haha. Grisha and Areg have very different styles so would be interesting.
