  • The review of the Newish Head Speed Graphene 360+ MP racket. Oh even typing the name of this one is annoying. Leaving Head’s long namings apart though, this is the racket of choice of Areg. Racket offering loads of spin and power that at the same time looks incredible? Pack me 5 please -Areg.

    0:06 I've been saying that for ages - tennis bags should have more padding between the individual racquets in the bag! No point in having padding on the outside of the bag if several racquets inside the bag constantly bash against each other!! #sendmethecushions

    yes Niki! Loved the way he played with a pro staff and he did it again. This is a fire video. The intro is me when I get a new racket. My racket comes in, I go to test it and BOOM scratches first day. How does Volkl Cyclone differ from strings like luxilon adrenaline or maybe like a string that I use: solinco hyper g.

    Hi Grisha, totally irrelevant to the racquet review, but I really like your forehand technique. Have you always had more of a modern style as opposed to the “next gen” style that is all the hype now on tour and with coaches? And do you have any thoughts on next gen forehands?

    Nice review, some good shots in the video!
    I've got to agree with Grisha, these types of rackets play better with some lead added in the hoop. A lot of spin-oriented frames I've tested feel like they don't handle pace as well as they could with some customization.
    I would recommend testing out the Diadem FS Elevate Tour 98 in the future, small company and I like their Solstice Power string a lot as well

    • @AnkeethM
      @AnkeethM 3 роки тому +1

      It's definitely a good racket to try, like the Tecnifibre 305 you reviewed recently it's foam-filled so it's really comfortable on the arm despite being slightly more stiff.
      16x20 string pattern which is one of my favorites, but it's relatively open (compared to the VCORE 95 for example) so you can still get some good spin on the ball. Excellent feel, good control. Would recommend trying it out!

    Great review again guys. Do you consider these are fairly light rackets for players of your (high) level or is it a new zeitgeist for modern players? Anyway, what's your experience with gut strings and gut hybrids? Are gut strings worth it for the feel? Cheers.

    • @gladiatorstribe
      @gladiatorstribe  3 роки тому +3

      Yep, for sure, especially me (Grisha), as you might've noticed it's light for me. Most of the rackets are too light in their stock form and require customization for my taste. We all add weight to our rackets, except for Areg. Gut strings do give you really good feel but they're certainly not worth their price unless your budget is unlimited.

  • @fluffy_skye
    @fluffy_skye 3 роки тому +1

    I thought professional players tends to use heavy rackets. For example your Gravity Pro is at 315g. So I’m surprised that Areg uses Speed MP which is only 300g and I remember another one of you uses Pure Drive which is also 300g. What is your thought on weight?

    • @gladiatorstribe
      @gladiatorstribe  3 роки тому +1

      Well, Areg does actually use the stock speed mp. He likes it apparently 🤨. Al uses a pure drive but he has weight on it and so do I (Grisha), my racket unstrung weights at 325. You're right most of the pros tend to use heavier rackets. Although there are many professional players who prefer a light racket for a better maneuverability.

    Amazing video guys, subscribed and liked. I just got my head speed mp 360+ (yeah I'm kinda late to the party lol) but still holds up really nicely. I'm wondering which string I should use and tension. For more context I had tennis elbow in the past and would prefer something better for the arm/confortable... Lower tensions too closer to 50lbs I guess? (this racket goes from 48 to 58 if I'm not mistaken). Which would be more suited strings brands and mainly materials? (idk anthing about strings)

There's more feel and it's less forgiving. It doesn't mean that it's a wooden stick though. It's somewhere in the middle on the control-power spectrum.

      @@gladiatorstribe i (and others) feel nothing at impact. In the video you say you feel a lot of feedback from the ball
      Btw love the channel videos (not trolling)

      Oh, I (Grisha) see. The Speed MP compared to other rackets that are oriented towards feel is muted, for sure. Comparing it to rackets in it's category, you do get quite a bit of feel tho. We totally take constructive criticism! Thanks for the support!

    How do you compare this with the Babolat Strike 100 3rd gen?

      Well, the speed MP will offer you more power and more spin. The speed is going to feel more defined in terms of what it's doing.
