      You've definitely got the right idea, in a way. It's going to have a more crisp, modern feel but in terms of actually power, at least in stock form, I would say the Gravity Tour has more. That being said, if you can dial in an Extreme Tour with lead tape and what not, I know so many people who absolutely love the power, spin and control they get. It just takes a lot of work and I've never personally gotten there.

    I love your MP roundups! Looking forward to watching this one! The only thing (for me) that is missing, is that you should the actual specs of the samples you used for the test as that can have impact on the outcome. Also helps people know where to tinker with lead tape etc to optimise the specs to their own games.

    Hey Luca, great review once again!
    Can I ask you: you had a Head Speed Graphene Touch MP in the video about the Head Pro lines ... can you comment on that racket? How does it play, how does it compare to the new Speed? And if you know (and care to) what about the Head Speed Graphene Touch Pro? They were the last Speed rackets with a 22 mm beam, and I can probably get my hands on one (or both) of them (in the normal paint-job, not the blue-black one you have).
    I'd really appreciate your opinion. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  2 місяці тому

      I haven't used the Graphene Touch Pro but I am a big fan of the MP. I like the thinner beam in general although I do think 23 may be technically better for power and spin. It feels a little bit quicker and there's a more pure ball feel (although keep in mind this was during the worst of Graphene so it's by no means traditional).

    • @KainanBlackMoon
      @KainanBlackMoon 2 місяці тому

      @@RacketsRunnersVancouver Thank you, Luca, I appreciate you taking the time! Were the Graphene Head rackets that bad? So are you saying that you think the newest Speed (MP or Pro) are the better choice? Closer to the "golden age" of Head? I have seen this sentiment a lot lately (I have been away from tennis for a good while) that Head has come back to being closer to what they once stood for. I probably will not buy a Touch if the newer offerings are better again.

    Do you think adding some weight (5 grams or so) to the handle to the Speed MP is a good move or not? I just made the switch from the Gravity MP (with 5 grams in the handle + overgrip), and found the Speed MP a bit more top heavy and less maneuverable. So would adding weight to the handle help you think? Or just try to get used to the difference between the two more before customizing it?

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  2 місяці тому

      I would probably try to get used to it first but yes, adding weight there will make it feel whippier and more head light.

    What main differences between boom mp 2024 and wilson shift v1? Thank you

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  2 місяці тому

      The Shift is a more precise racket all things considered and it also generates quite a bit more spin. The Boom is more for players with a slower, more compact stroke who want that added free power that it gives.

  • @lsfire3489
    @lsfire3489 2 місяці тому

    also extreme tour is closer to radical mp than the extreme mp. So just looking at mps would be a mistake. Maybe also consider looking at the gravity tour if you are looking at those two. gravity tour does offer more control and solidity with the 10 extra grams at 305.

      From different reviews of the Speed MP 2024, HEAD is bridging the gap between the Speed and Radical by offering more control. It sounds like HEAD have modified the Speeds swing weight and have stabilized the hoop by adding weight there - this apparently has effected its previously quick manoeuvrability
