Only eat 1 or 2 because I've had a gastric bypass, and I can eat a lot at 1 time, but some people who don't have any problem eating large quantities can eat 46 eggs or more for breakfast. It's entirely how many you can eat with me, it's just like tuna fish. I like it but I have a limit. I can't take one more bite of something when I hit my limit.
It's possible that the reason you can't maintain KETO is because of some of your tests where you eat stuff that keeps addicted. You can't just do it part time and also avoid the huge cravings.
I actually like to cycle keto with a more open diet. 1 to 2 months on and off. It ensures that i dont get deficient in any of the micronutrients that a keto diet may not provide as well as lets me live a little. Ive found that for the first month or so the reintroduction of carbs doesnt result in rebound weight gain, but the reintroduction of processed sugars and the resulting dietary debauchery that follows will cause rapid weight gain, inflamation and joint pain. Soda is evil...

Oh wow I haven't had Weetabix in a long time. Used to eat that back in the UK but not here in the US. Does it affect your blood sugar? Also, how do you combine avocado, yoghurt and blueberries with the Weetabix? Do you combine the Weetabix, blueberries and yoghurt together, and eat the avocado separately?
I add a little hot water to the Weetabix then two tablespoons of yoghurt then cut the avocado into pieces, microwave a cup of frozen blueberries and add that on top. Mix it around a bit with the spoon and eat it in front of my english partner who thinks it looks disgusting 😅😊
I love the Keto diet. Can't do it, though because it gives me explosive diarrhea. I've looked it up, and yes, it's a thing for some people. Anyone knows what can be changed to be able to leave the house while on this diet?
Will do nothing cause fat doesn’t affect glucose or insulin and 4 eggs ain’t enough protein to do much either. Now, how many total calories is that and what will it do to your gut if you keep this up?
It does because it eliminates carbs, they still have issues if they have carbs. Isn't it better to just fix the underlying problem so they can digest and burn carbs, fats, protein well? LOng term not good.
Not sure how keto fixes insulin resistance rather it should have an inverse effect. Imagine having a drain, and once you’ve finished cooking you put the fats down the drain. It may be fine initially and even a few years down the track, but eventually it becomes clogged and you need a plumber to clear the grease out, and when left untreated can cause damage to the plumbing throughout the house. This is insulin resistance. My suggestion stick to a whole food plant based diet 80%-90% of the time and the rest leave as a buffer to enjoy and get nutrients from meats, dairy and meals off/cheat meals. I’ve been doing it and I’ve experienced dramatic differences to my blood sugar and overall insulin required (almost 50-60% reduction in comparison to pre wfpb) whilst having 300-400g carbs a day, mind you I’m also not even strict, as I eat meat 2-3 times a week
Yeah the reason why your insulin spikes when you eat meals that contain carbs is because you are on more insulin resistant side. To become more insulin sensitive you need to manage very low bodyfat. I’m currently bellow 8% body fat and tested 6000 Cal day with 250 carbs per meal and my blood sugar didn't raise more than 112 it was as low in the 80’s post meals as well. I had foods like ice cream, honey, bagels, pasta, French toast etc and that was outcome on my blood sugar. The more insulin sensitive you are the more efficient becomes your metabolism.
Not really, being a diabetic is the worst diet, as it triggers the body craving carbo. So better balanced diet with more ingredients, like beans, lentils etc
It's one of those diets that you have to watch your electrolytes and do the macros correctly. Then tweak per individual. I eat almost raw meat, hardly in the pan, two seconds toss it around. Great digestion, never fart. That's my rule of thumb. if I'm farting, something's wrong. We are not supposed to fart on the regular. @@ccuellar6212

If you’re struggling to do keto for too long because you’re craving carbs, try upping your protein intake. I’m talking about eating a literal pound of hamburger. That’s the only thing that squashed my sugar cravings. The tough part for me is the sugar-withdrawal migraine that ensues about 2-3 days in.

I love doing keto carnivore but I'm worried about insulin resistance. The current theory on what causes IR is excess fat in the cells. It blocks the receptors from responding to insulin. I don't know what to do. I feel great on keto but don't want to wish my prediabetes.
SO bad for you. Eventually you're going to have a heart attack or stroke eating this way. My friend was doing strict keto, training for a marathon, and he ended up having a heart attack. Carbs are great. It's processed carbs stripped of fiber and nutrients that are bad for you.
1) Individual results will vary. Don't know why we should note your results at all. 2) Insulin resistance is caused by too much saturated fat in the diet. The avo likely blocks much of the action of the butter, though you should use olive oil. 3) So long as you keep eating so much fat you will block insulin receptors and keep yourself carbohydrate intolerant. 4) You crave carbs BECAUSE YOU ARE A STARCHIVORE. Starch is OUR food. Not processed crap, but whole grain, naturally occurring, starch. It is not a disease to crave it, it is in fact natural and healthy.
give supplements a chance. Changed EVERYHING, no more carb cravings. But I (like in: I personally) needed tons of magnesium, which I hadn't considerd before. Since then it's much easier. Actually on keto for 9 months.

1st 2 weeks was hard for me, was on it for 17 months hard core - 1800 calories or less, 100+ grams of protein per day, less that 30grams of gross carbs (less than 10-12 after fiber, etc..). I lost 92 lbs and 10 inches off my waist. Blood sugar is at 74, shaved 110 points off cholesterol. Cycled off as I plateaued, but KETO light with some better life choices
Carbs should come from fruits and veggies in controlled portions. Bread sucks and should be treated like dessert. I eat a bagel in the morning w cream cheese and that’s it. Rest of the day all proteins and fats. Veggies too.
It’s not carbs that I crave, it’s SUGAR! I cannot get a CGM because I’m not insulin dependent - just pre-diabetic, but I am insulin resistant and I believe even vegetables spike a response in my glucose. But without a CGM, I can’t prove my hypothesis.
Keto isn't sustainable. You said it yourself, you always crave carbs eventually. I've tried keto on & off since around 2018 & I always eventually fail. Lower carbs is easier. But trying to go without isn't achievable. Nice breakfast tho

I will try this breakfast for a week just to find out how it makes me feel.
Thank you for the recipe!!
I eat eggs, bacon avocado and a piece of cheese every morning for breakfast. And I don't get a spike.
How many eggs do you eat?
Only eat 1 or 2 because I've had a gastric bypass, and I can eat a lot at 1 time, but some people who don't have any problem eating large quantities can eat 46 eggs or more for breakfast. It's entirely how many you can eat with me, it's just like tuna fish. I like it but I have a limit. I can't take one more bite of something when I hit my limit.
Sorry, that was supposed to be 4 to 6 eggs..
But you will get heart attack for too much fat 😂

I usually eat eggs and avocados for breakfast.Problem is that i would like my coffee wich i can't have without milk and honey or brown sugar.
I REALLY ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS!!!
Did keto super strictly for almost 2 years and then would go off and on and now I am addicted to sugar again and can’t seem to get back. It’s a drug don’t think of it as anything else.
I did STRICT KETO for 16 months. Dropped 80lbs and with the gym i achieved my goals. NOW I am doing lazy keto. Will eat carbs time to time.
That’s great congrats. I think I need strict keto for awhile. Whatd you do with hunger pangs after going to the gym? That’s my struggle.
@@LisePlansandJournals honestly, I ate some BBQ pork rinds. Satisfied the hunger and crunch need. Or I would eat a medium avocado 🥑

Thank you for your videos... Avoiding diabetes has been a goal I'm succeeding at with the support of information like yours. Keep up the care!
If you’re diabetic it’s better not to eat breakfast until you’ve been up for a few hrs. That really helped me a lot, because my blood sugar was always very high first thing in the morning. So getting up then moving around for a while, going on a walk or exercise brought my blood sugar down.

This is what I give my kids in the morning. My 13-year-old loves avocado toast, and Dave’s power seed bread only has 1 g of sugar.
Just bought some Power Seed today!!! Protect that pancreas, it will run out of insulin at some point if it’s squirting out all day!!!
Avocado on Ezekiel Bread is a great choice as well! I learned that on this channel also😋👍

How are did you get them eggs out of the human? do you have to take the alvocando the same time or where did they go? 😕😕
4 eggs wow. Iam thinking HIGH cholesterol😮 My Cardiologist would say a big NO on that-
Thats a big lie. Cholesterol is VITAL, without cholesterol, you die. We have been lied to for the profit of big pharmaceutical companies. High cholesterol is fine, your liver will not need to produce cholesterol since you supply enough. Now high sugar and carbs WILL kill you eventually. But do NOT fear cholesterol.

Working out helps a lot.
If you are a high endurance cardio type, it is important to find the right balance in your macros. It won't likely be the same as lifters and sedentary folks. Do your research.
@DEAR7340 I am 41, a combat vet, worked out 5-6 times a week for the last several years. My A1C is consistently lower than people without diabetes. Not only do I research for training, I also research for diabetes. Twice I was not able to keep my routine and was hospitalized. Once I was able to return, I got off of meds, and have maintained. I was on long and short term insulin. I know the internet makes people think they are smarter than they really are. Have a cookie🍪 Weight lifting and walking is better for diabetics than running. It is also better for weight loss. Please do your research. At least be prepared to have a civil conversation without coming in swinging. I have also studied multiple martial arts consistently. That also helps. Why did you come at me this way? I know why! I always encourage people to exercise because it has literally kept me alive, and my blood sugar in tact!
Sorry to offend you. I thought I was agreeing with you, just offering a broader conversation about what working out is or means.

Eating fiber before carbs helps keep the blood sugar from spiking too much. Just stick with carbs that have lots of fiber and nutrition (like beans and other legumes) and eat in moderation.
I have avocado Weetabix blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast. Similar results. Keeps me nice and full till well past midday 😊
@@matauboy Oh wow so you actually put the avocados in the Weetabix.
I love the Keto diet. Can't do it, though because it gives me explosive diarrhea. I've looked it up, and yes, it's a thing for some people.
Anyone knows what can be changed to be able to leave the house while on this diet?
My favorite meal.❤
Will do nothing cause fat doesn’t affect glucose or insulin and 4 eggs ain’t enough protein to do much either. Now, how many total calories is that and what will it do to your gut if you keep this up?
Your right about the Keto diet but the most important thing is it fixes your insulin resistance issue and helps those get off their diabetic medicine.
Keto is awesome for diabetics.
Not really, being a diabetic is the worst diet, as it triggers the body craving carbo. So better balanced diet with more ingredients, like beans, lentils etc
I highly disagree, but to each his own. @@sotidim
I agree. Any carb restricted diet is good, whether low carb , keto or even carnivore
Keto kills.

I love scrambled eggs with onions, green peppers, cheese, and ham butt. I do need to have some butter toast in two large glass of ice cold milk.
Ditch the onions, toast and milk. Butter better be grass-fed.
I have four eggs scrambled then loaded with either mushrooms or full fat cottage cheese on top. Wow! It keeps you going for a good 4 hours and not hungry or depressed or anything. The best breakfast either that or a veggie Fritata (which is basically some chopped up veggies with flour eggs poured on top
Very informative, being a pre diabetes this really help. Your videos are helpful, thanks

Nothing like long covid dementia to make you stick to a keto diet. You literally can't think of talk or do things properly if you fall off the bandwagon. "Dieting" has completely changed for me now - I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm trying to get my brain back that was taken away from me and I'm trying to help bring it back to a level of function again. ❤

The fiber from the avocado likely blocked absorption to some extent. Therefore, blood sugar didnt pick up much carb intake. Imo
Try sprinkling a bit of vinegar on that avocado with sunny side up eggs. It's very tasty.

Some carbs are good for you now and then, and keep the depression away when ingested at the right time and the right kind, complex organic carbs like Ezekiel toast with avocado oil,

Carbs are very addictive. I can totally relate. However, I feel so GREAT when I avoid carbs, like ALL MY SYSTEMS ARE WORKING CORRECTLY, I feel stronger, have way more energy, and generally happier mood…and if I’m eating carbs, even so-called “GOOD carbs”, I FEEL LIKE CRAP, headaches, low energy, depressed for no reason, and I GAIN WEIGHT no matter how much I watch calorie intake and exercise, so it’s a good reminder for me WHY to avoid carbs.

Getting high and eating sugar is my goto favourite thing
I use Dr Grundys Premium Olive Oil… is expensive; unfortunately… but mush healthier than many Olive Oils out there. Also you can eat 25% Whey protein; has the consistency of a dense Yogurt. There’s many vegetarian crunchy snacks for people yearning for Carbs. Make your own Potato Chips from all different Root Vegetables… create roasted Vegetables with Garlic until they are cooked down to have all the natural sugars released; place on small pieces of Bread(Crostini with Olive Oil and more Garlic rubbed on the toasted Bread). Everyone; good health to all!💙🕊
1st 2 weeks was hard for me, was on it for 17 months hard core - 1800 calories or less, 100+ grams of protein per day, less that 30grams of gross carbs (less than 10-12 after fiber, etc..). I lost 92 lbs and 10 inches off my waist. Blood sugar is at 74, shaved 110 points off cholesterol. Cycled off as I plateaued, but KETO light with some better life choices
Keto is high fat, med protein (NOT high), and low carb
I'd still be hungry after that tiny portion as a type 1 diabetic and very slim guy. put something else on the plate geezer, you're allowed some carbs
Eating Chicken Mensturatioin is pretty yucky when you think about it. Havent eaten any in almost 50 years, nor meat fish eggs or chicken
The fastest way to escalate your diabetes is to follow the food plan your doctor gives you. Remember they need you as a lifelong customer pumped full of their drugs. Medicine is no longer about health, the faster the population gets that the faster things will change.
I shouldn't do much, But I would stay away from fruits and vegetables. Just stick Animal products Son. Seems to me you have a much bigger problem due to your bad relationship with food.
