They should be available pretty soon. You'll be able to tell them apart because the new Vanford FA is much more of all-black reel with slight red accent on the spool base. The old Vanford had a red ring where the handle attached to the reel, near the top of the spool, and base of the spool

You can use the new vanford to fight bigfish. similar to stradic. My old vanford the gear didn't last fighting a 20+ lbs bluefish.
