I've seen Wolf Winters sing this before, but I absolutely loved watching this singing coach's reaction to him. She looked like a kid in a candy store. I loved her commentary. LOL
The coach that turned is Guy Sebastian. You should comment on his music too. He has an amazing voice and writes beautiful songs.
He's ok, but his music is mediocre at best.
Guy is a dead beat.. i'd rather not feed his ego.
This gave me goose bumps when I watched this on the night it went to air and it still does.
He also does Hurt and it's amazing as well. He has a few other samples on UA-cam.

He sings the higher notes without sounding like he's singing higher notes. He keep you in that gruff, deep area no matter what!

I don't care for those shows in general for various reasons (I'm just not into the idea of turning self-expression into a competition), but I LOVE his voice! It's the surprise of the century when he zips up an octave into that godlike vocal fry. Crazy. And Wolf Winters? C'mon. Is there a more perfect name for a guy with a roar of that magnitude?
I dont really go for these shows either but these days it's so hard to be given a chance and that's what these shows do, and hey it only becomes a competition until you get that chance.

The judge that turned his chair around wasn't supposed to because the spots for his team were already full but the producers decided to have him do it both to avoid missing out on this incredible talent and to create drama.
Also because Kelly didn’t want to turn because she wanted a girl which was seen as sexist.
Not sexist really but she was crazy not to turn. I'd never pick her for a coach. She should have taken him. Was cruel to put Wolf in that position. She WAS the bad guy even though she said don't make me the bad guy. It wasn't Wolf's fault. I think that was the wrong song in the showdown. Guy is a great judge. He didn't want Wolf to lose out because he saw Wolf's talent. Kelly was being difficult. Too bad for Wolf. She was wrong not to take him on.
To be perfectly honest, Wolf's cover of this is better than Disturbeds cover. As a metal head I love Disturbed but this dude fricken rocked it
His voice is a big dark well. He is self taught I believe? not sure. But had a very painful and difficult childhood which I am sure comes through in his voice.

While you're checking out great Aussie voices you should listen to Guy Sebastian. He's one of the judges on this show and his voice is amazing. He's definitely not as well known outside of Aus as he deserves

I heard Wolf on a The Voice compilation of unusual voices. I loved his fry and his distortion. There's a little bit of Iggy Pop in his sound; do you agree? He has a flair for emotional delivery, which I love. Great reaction, Bethany!

This was on The Voice at least 6 months before The Disturbed came out with there version.

You may not be aware of this - but this was his FIRST ever pubic singing event. He'd never performed before beyond social. He was brought up in child protection services having been removed from his mother (he was born if i recall correctly a 'heroin baby') so his life trajectory was quite challenging including living on the street). Somehow, someone somewhere, made an application for him to go on the Voice. You are right - Kelly was the only one with a place left, and because she didn't pick Wolf. Guy pressed his button and it created as storm (attention seeking). i must admit its this kind of stuff by Guy I don't like (and the father that his brother i think won this season or the next season). Back to Wolf..i sincerely wish this guy well.. this rendition is pure natural and untrained.
To be honest I think the producers direct the judges what to do through their ear piece! To add drama they likely told only Guy to turn! I think Disturbed need to hire Wolf!

I do not enjoy his lows. Something like he is forcing it.
Sounds like he is near falling off a ladder if that makes sense but in a vocal way.

I don't know... the original is so beautiful and all these newer singers seem to be trying too hard to make it their own rather than doing what the song calls for... at least to me, this is gimmicky for me.
